I was so excited to try this restaurant for my birthday celebration but it was honestly SO disappointing. It’s the worst Michelin restaurant I’ve ever been to.

We literally could not even cut through the duck meat breast. We told the staff but he just said ‘oh, I have never heard of this before’ and walked away. In the end, they had to take the duck breast away into the kitchen to cut it for us. But it was so tough that we could barely chew it, let alone actually eat it.

We then asked them to clear and wipe down the table as we wanted to take pictures of the dessert next. The cloth they used was actually repulsive - it smelt SO BAD and we had to ask them to wipe the table again with wet wipes. We literally lost all appetite because of the cloth’s smell.

This is, in comparison, minor but their candle straight up lit the dessert on fire. And a staff was chatting so loudly it was so distracting and annoying.

All around the worst Michelin restaurant I’ve ever been, and I’ve been to a lot. Food is terrible, service is even worse. Do not go if you are celebrating an occasion as they will definitely ruin your mood.

I highly recommend La Brasserie if you are looking for a romantic or reunion meal! The seatings were spacious and the overall aesthetic was very pleasing and serene. Service was very hospitable and there is also a window for you to peek into the kitchen if you want. While the menu is based on French cuisine, it was not incredibly heavy and can be shared. … still crunchy. Basically chopped vegetable put in oven with industrial sweetened tomato sauce. Not the Pixar symbol of gastronomy.

Oysters are washed in tap water after opening so we avoided the offense and focused on langoustine and bulots. Well … they felt fresh … from defrosting. One of the sauce was American creamy cocktail sauce, the other unsalted mayo.

Like the tomato sauce bread is industrial. The “bouillabaisse” was the next experiment. As I could not taste any rouille (everything was supposedly all in the soup in the face of French tradition to bring it on the side, just like the bread already put in soup). Asked for extra rouille. A small amount of the creamy tomato sauce with bit of piment d’espelette was brought to me. There is no Rouille not enough garlic.

The restaurant prides itself for being reasonable, it is just feels cheap.
