我非常喜歡「深夜食堂」這套日劇。這店名應受這劇影響吧。

這裡原本是「川醇」。裝修和格局基本上差不多。我們選了吧檯位置,除了有點熱之外,尚算舒適。

The name of the restaurant was obviously inspired by the famous Japanese drama "Shinya Shokudo". Literally, late night dining hall/canteen. In the drama, that dining hall opens till 6 in the morning. The main selling point of this restaurant is also its late closing hours. It is located at where Chuen Shun used to be. It has a rather spacious al fresco area for smokers. We sat by the bar counter.

食物方面選擇尚可,主要提供串燒食品。其中有數款如貓飯和深宵薄餅等亦較有特式。

Drink-wise, it wasn't as comprehensive as I had expected for a late night joint. They had, i believe, only 3 types of bottled beer, a few types of sake and an unspecified umeshu. I was rather disappointed that they had neither draught beer nor sochu, even popular brands such as Iichigo.

在深夜食堂中有一集是關於貓飯的。貓飯其實沒有既定菜譜,最基本的是飯加上鰹魚碎和醬油。這碗貓飯敗筆之處是飯粒較乾和較硬。沒有一般日本米的飯香和軟熟的口感。

Neko rice : This was obviously taken from the drama as well. Literally "Cat Rice", rice with bonito flakes and shoyu (& may have butter or other leftovers). It is a very simple Japanese comfort food. For a dish that is essentially a simple bowl of rice, that fact that the rice was not soft enough is not quite forgivable.

深宵薄餅: 有點似大阪的御好燒(お好み焼き)再加上一點海鮮,底部用炒麵墊底。麵粉略厚,炒麵略嫌硬而不脆,但味道仍算不錯。

Sam siu pizza (Late night pizza): Essentially an okonomiyaki - with little bits of seafood in the patty and fried noodles as its base. The whole "pizza" was rather thick. The fried noodles were a bit on the hard side. It would probably have been better if the noodles were soft instead of being pan fried.

串燒方面,雞腎醃得不錯,但燒得略嫌過老。雞皮燒得夠香脆。

雞心特別值得一讚,醃得夠入味,肉質嫩滑,火喉適中,廚師果然沒有介紹錯。

秋葵同樣燒得不錯。

炒野菜的蔬菜都新鮮爽脆,份量豐富。

Generally speaking, the grilled skewers were better than the other cooked food. The chicken heart, which was one of the chef's recommendation, was really good. Other than the slightly overcooked chicken kidneys, the okura and the chicken skin were good. The fried vegetables were nice and crunchy.

燒茄子亦值得推介。
燒雪魚棒完全跟我所想的不同。這個和吃包裝魷魚絲差不多。性價比不高。
The grilled eggplant was pretty good. However, the grilled tara sticks were very similar to those pre-packed ones where one could buy from convenience stores.

總結:

以上食物連五枝啤酒$750性價比只屬一般,食物好壞參半。勝在開得夠夜,又有戶外位,所以拉勻不是「零時十分」,而只是七分。

Conclusion:

All in all, there were some hits but a fair amount of misses with the food. HK$750 for the above and 5 beers. It think it was a bit pricey for what we got that evening. Nevertheless, a place to bear in mind for late night snacks.

雞肉腸水準keep到都係好好食! 不過咁當然啦其實燒雞肉腸又唔係話需要好大技巧嘅~ 不過我就係鍾意佢一咬開個腸衣嘅時候,卜一聲個下好清脆! 而且個腸衣又好好保護著 裡面嘅肉 , 所以當咬開嘅時候呢會有啲肉汁噴出嚟㗎 ,而且除了有雞肉之外呢裏面仲有啲雞軟骨, 所以除左有肉嘅口感,仲有一啲爽脆嘅軟骨後感, 我覺得比台灣腸仲要好食!

最後仲要叫咗個鹽燒油甘魚鮫。 比平時食到嘅三文魚鮫大件好多, 而且唔會淨係得一片魚鰭, 真係將連住個頭嗰成片魚鮫都燒埋俾我食,難得。 魚價錢又唔貴喎, 咁大嚿魚鮫都係講緊78蚊,超抵!

油甘魚都肉質呢我覺得呢比三文魚的肉質呢仲要嫩滑, 油甘魚嘅油分始終比三文魚嘅油分要多 ,所以就算係魚鮫位置呢,都有一定嘅油分,所以就算燒完之後,都保持到肉質是嫩滑的! 加上個魚皮燒得好香脆, 令成件事都變得完美曬!

即叫即整份量十分之大,蛋卷大個我嘅手板啊!裏邊呢有湧出嚟嘅芝士,仲有蟹肉絲,雞蛋煎得十分之嫩,配上咁有型嘅深宵兩個字!正!

留意呢度有室內位置同埋室外位置,不過依家天氣咁熱多數人都會選室內嘅,但係如果響秋天時分室外係絕對係一個不錯嘅選擇架!而埋單都係二百零蚊位,其實響深夜能夠坐響度摸下酒杯底同朋友傾吓計,已經係賞心樂事!再配上咁正嘅美食唔怪之得時常爆場呀!
