I’ve always been super impressed with the bread from Levain Bakery, a favourite amongst Hongkongers ever since its opening in 2009. They specialise in 100% levain sourdough as well as other authentic French pastries and breads. 🥖 Decided to try this place out for lunch one day and will definitely be returning!

— Their rye sourdough was as good as always, love the denser texture and rich bread flavour. Their sourdough just has the perfect level of sourness to it, with a slight nuttiness that has an acidic undertone to it. This is served with their homemade pesto which was so well seasoned and aromatic. The salmon was fresh, tasty, and went well with the pesto. All the other elements worked well together and this was a very satisfying sandwich overall. The generous shaving of cheese on top added that extra boost of flavour too.

— This was so good! Their unique blend of spices made the drink so aromatic and really warmed me up from the inside. Not to mention, this was perfectly sweetened. This drink felt like a warm hug on a cold winter morning 🫂.

此店售賣天然發酵的麵包,麵包口感比較原始及天然,與日式麵包的軟綿綿存麪包相比有很大分別。但我就是喜歡那份原始天然的味道。

本着来都来了的心态,又一人takeaway了一个【50%全麦裸麦橙皮无花果酸种面包】,30HKD的单价不便宜,但用料极为扎实,个头不大,但拿在手里沉甸甸的。
·
非要说不完美的地方就是果脯偏甜和十分考验咬肌,论整体好吃程度绝对是教科书级别了!

發現一個性價比好高的食麵包餐的地方!正!本人喜歡吃麵包。今次來吃早餐,發現他的菜單,全日只有一個。嗌咗一個$58 ,Parma ham sourdough,及一個$88火雞Panini,在另外嗌兩杯嘢飲。合計約$240。好大份呀!兩款麵包,看得相當趣,就算放耐而涼左,都唔覺得麵包變得靭,唔知點解, 10分喜愛他的脆脆口感。而且裏面餡料充足,無論是Parma Ham,或者火雞芝士餡,都令人非常之感覺充實。火雞Panini的Panini,仲有黑橄欖在上面,口感層次豐富,有少許橄欖味的鹹香。其實食咗半份,已經覺得飽,但係因為感覺太好味,又覺得那份脆口的口感,實在難得,結果慢慢食,都食晒,飽到晏晝四點先至肚餓。咖啡水準反而屬於平穩,但總算不過不失,食物搭夠,都比滿分。之前光顧他們鰂魚涌的大店,其實很有外國旅行feel,大家不妨一試,當自己去咗旅行。灣仔此店,在我公司附近,我相信我會再光顧。

I’ve walked past here countless times and today I decided to venture in as an alternative to my usual spots in Wan Chai. As I walk into the store and notice that the decor is country house style and has a homely feel and immediately on the left is the counter and the ready to order pastries, and I was surprised by the variety of choice and they looked good. I’ve walked past here countless times and today I decided to venture in as an alternative to my usual spots in Wan Chai. 
As I walk into the store and notice that the decor is country house style and has a homely feel and immediately on the left is the counter and the ready to order pastries, and I was surprised by the variety of choice and they looked good. So I ordered a pain au chocolate and a flat white. 
I find a seat opposite the counter and waited for my order, it did take a long time but it was worth waiting as the pain au chocolate was warm and crispy, the flat white however was a little weak for my tastes. Whilst I was enjoying the pain au chocolate I noticed that they also serve sandwiches which looked very appealing. The thought that entered my mind when I left Levain was why did I not come here sooner! I will definitely be back!
