We reserved a table a few days ago for four people for lunch. When we arrived we were given the horizontal bar table which we could hardly talk. We asked the staff to change to a regular table but then the staff claimed that we requested for such a horizontal bar table. They made a mistake and then lied about our booking. We then just left.Will definitely not visit again.

didnt expect the setting was like that haha kinda casual 🤔 food cant be more fused than those ive ever tried 🤣 scallops with green curry is defo an interesting combo 🫣 orecchiette smells sooo well when it was served and the romanesco was just grilled perfectly👌🏻 tomato sauce of the toothfish was awesome but i dun think they matched with one another🤣 yet i think u guys can all tell that the fish was nicely cooked based on its colour😋

Pic 1️⃣: Three Grain Mapo Tofu / pickled yellow carrots / endive - $198 hkd 🌶
— I’ve heard good things about this dish and wanted to try it out for myself. The dish is beautifully plated and I almost didn’t want to eat it. It’s a unique take on the traditional mapo tofu served with rice, and here its replaced with 3 grains- spelt, buckwheat and barley. The texture was interesting, the 3 grains were able to offer a contrast of textures which I enjoyed. Taste wise, the dish was insanely rich, a strong pepper taste to it that’s fragrant and easy to eat. The pickled carrots offered the dish an extra crunch and slight acidity to balance out the rich flavours coming from the sauce, whilst the endive gave the dish a slight bitterness. Not to mention, this was actually pretty spicy so it might not be for everyone.

— Another good dish. The stone bass was pan fried to perfection, allowing it to retain its juiciness. This was also really well seasoned, and paired alongside their tomato and chipotle salsa, the fish was just hard to resist. Aside from the fish, the roasted vegetables on the side also deserve a mention. They really brought the dish together and gave it a crisp, freshness to it.


⭐️Would visit again?: Very likely! Plenty other dishes I’d love to try!

📍Moxie Had some expectation since Moxie is the new addition to the Arcane Collection. I enjoyed Arcane as their dishes are simple, elegant and well executed. But Moxie was a bit of a disappointment. Appreciate that it focuses on providing vegetarian and sustainably sourced seafood but it doesn’t taste too healthy as some dishes are quite heavily seasoned 😥Their signature seared Octopus with broccolini is quite salty with the excessive amount of sauce. Had some expectation since Moxie is the new addition to the Arcane Collection. I enjoyed Arcane as their dishes are simple, elegant and well executed. But Moxie was a bit of a disappointment.

Appreciate that it focuses on providing vegetarian and sustainably sourced seafood but it doesn’t taste too healthy as some dishes are quite heavily seasoned 😥

Their signature seared Octopus with broccolini is quite salty with the excessive amount of sauce. Can’t really taste the burrata at the bottom. The octopus is quite tender though. As for the salmon dish, where is the crispy fish skin 🥲

The tomato salad is not at all refreshing as it has a lot of herbs and spices in it. The egg with eggplant salad is better in comparison.

The desserts are way better than the mains in my opinion. The warm chocolate tart used good quality dark chocolate. The best is actually the Pavalova. It’s tangy with the passion fruit, yet sweet with the cream and meringue.

Everything is in quite a small portion. Men would definitely need some afternoon snack.

Have always thought that the location is a bit weird when Cova was there as it’s kind of a pass-way. It’s not a place for quick lunch either as it took us 1.5 hours for all the dishes to arrive.

Overall, I’ll stick with🙃

Price: HK$600 pp (lunch) (as we chose some from the a la carte menu)

Revisit: 5/10 (Have better options given the price point)

We started our meal with Roasted Jerusalem Artichokes ($158), which came with green beans, endive, walnut bagna cauda. To us it’s a bit oily but still can taste they’ve used fresh ingredients!
Then we had the Jackfruit Croustillant with sauce kasundi and crushed avocado ($198), it tasted like real minced meat! High recommend to oder this.🌟

Highlight of the meal is definitely our favourite main - Patagonian Toothfish ($348). The texture of the toothfish is similar to codfish, it was meltingly soft and flavourful. Love the creamy onion cream sauce so much which took the dish to the next level. 🤤
The Seared Fremantle Octopus ($298) was good too. The octopus was very tender and served with broccolini, fresh burrata and salsa verde.🐙
For dessert we had the Chocolate and Cardamom Torte ($128), it’s smaller than we’ve expected but it still tasted good🤣
I’d suggest to sit at the Chef’s counter so you could take a closer look at the cooking and preparation procedures!

以前去過Arcane,感覺好好,特登嚟試吓呢間,朋友係食素,所以呢度係一個好好嘅選擇,平日中環食晏時間特別忙,早咗幾分鐘到,張枱未準備好,等咗一陣準時入座。呢度嘅環境其實就麻麻,幾迫下,喺行人通道旁,冇乜氣氛可言,坐吧枱對住個廚房可能會好啲,不過期望嘅係佢呢度嘅食物。餐牌選擇唔係話好多,不過對lacto vegetarian就比例上好多選擇。放棄咗set lunch,揀咗a la carte。服務都唔錯,侍應都會不時巡吓,落單等咗一陣頭盤就嚟到,好有賣相,相機食先,味道亦都好好,唔同嘅食材味道好夾,份量亦都剛好,唔會話一啖食完,食材感覺上幾新鮮,唔似普通罐頭雪藏貨。食完頭盤再換刀叉食主菜,主菜同樣有板有眼,賣相吸引,刺激到唔同嘅味蕾,又有唔同嘅texture,唯一麻婆豆腐紅椒太多,豆腐反而就好少,最後嗌咗一個甜品四個人分享,食完唔會話好飽,但係CP值算係合理,食得幾滿足,值得再嚟。
