芒果蛋糕所用芒果不酸,夠甜不膩;

綠茶紅莓醬蛋糕很有特式,綠茶外層脆口、紅莓醬內有果肉,亦不酸,蛋糕層偶爾吃到另一種果肉,挺爽口好吃,但不知是甚麼;


以前吃過有黑松露的菜式,但味道未夠突出,但此店的黑松露Macaron味道很足夠,但不會過份濃烈,好讓我認識黑松露(像菌類)的味道,個人認為不錯。


飲品方面,凍朱古力感到帶點黑朱古力的味道,但不算濃,綜合而言濃淡適中;

大吉嶺為西式紅茶,比一般西式紅茶淡一些,但茶包浸久了會感到苦味,所以此店提供了糖包,茶味尚算有特色的。

由於此店的佈局有點特殊,它的位置其實在酒店大堂旁邊,但座位是開放式的,酒店客人或來訪者可自由坐下。如要在此店堂食,可能先要找到座位,以便慢慢舒適地享用。

綜合而言,甜品及飲品有質素,服務員態度很好,耐心地向我們介紹甜品,以及上菜及提供餐具時間得宜,非常高質素。

姊姊在The Lounge & Bar吃過high tea,食物質素麻麻。看來我今迴雖是外賣食物,但遠勝過負出二百多元的層層碟啊

Average- but only as far as presentation is concerned. Not worth a deliberate trip from anywhere further than ICC.Enjoyment of food is as much about presentation as it is about taste and smell. When a food item looks interesting (like the cakes from Pastry Gems), you would have expectations for its taste. Environment:
Don't like the openness. Or should I say, lack of enclosure. This 'eatery' has no defined space, only a few lounge chairs and tables scattered around the lobby - our table was directly across the main entrance, which left me feeling exposed and insecure (heh!). Not relaxing, felt more like a grab-and-go place. Perhaps they don't expect patrons to stay for long. In any event the venue is not ideal for tea. Too exposed, noisy, much human traffic, busy.


Food:
Display shelf is slightly foggy. Cakes looked really nice. But they don't taste too good.

This cake looks really nice. I appreciate the perfectly-glazed surface and the thin leaf of chocolate adornment. I cut through the soft mousse effortlessly with a knife. In other words there isn't much to chew on. Texture- homogeneous. You might think hey there's a bit of sponge at the bottom! Yeah but it's drenched in some kind of liquor. A slightly bitter one too. Bitter liquor + mango + sponge = bad. Also, too soft and watery. One drawback of putting cakes in a fridge for too long is that they sweat upon contact with warm air - well, another geographical disadvantage of eating at the lobby right across the main entrance - an abundance of dust and exhaust and warm air. Mango not too sweet. Poor matching of flavours.

I have nothing against the appearance of this creation. It reminds me of moss, and rolling greens. Nothing against nature. My company thought otherwise. Heh. So I hoped that the cake's quality would silence them. Sadly it didn't. Green tea - yes, strong, but texture very poor. Again, soggy. It literally FELT like eating moss. Or a part of an edible soaked towel. 'Mouldy' would be a harsh but nonetheless apt description. The raspberry 'pate' filling was too sour. The bit of cake at the bottom did not enhance the cake at all. Variation in texture must be for a good cause. Thumbs down.

The best choice among the 4 cakes we ordered. Thanks, J. The chocolate was dark - therefore not too sweet, but somehow it stuck at the back of the throat and you gotta drink water. You know that feeling? The base was crunchy - like cornflakes - tasty. The only criticism is the middle passion fruit layer being too sour. I think this chocolate, being bitter, would be better paired with something sweet. I had the macaron. Could've done without it.

Again, disappointment. The chestnut cream was very grainy and slightly bland. I'm not a big fan of chestnut but would've preferred a stronger chestnut flavour if it calls itself mont blanc! You can see that there's a small chestnut half perched on top of the chestnut cream - not a very appetizing sight - perhaps putting it INSIDE the shell would be better, at least it's not visible. Chestnut halves don't look very good. Plus you can see gaps in the cone. You can see how it topples when sliced in half- sort of collapses in the middle because there isn't enough cream to support its weight. The tart/pastry is bland, stale and dry.

J ordered this. The cup is as large as a soup bowl. Value for money. But then you really don't need such a large capp. You can't finish it. And then the last few sips may yield negative marginal utility. =/

Conclusion:
Will not be back.

這個 Green Tea Raspberry 是小妹指定目標,外表包上一層由噴槍噴成薄薄的綠茶粉,
很精彩,純吃一囗綠茶粉,洽如其份,很薄,入口即溶,沒有苦澀味。
綠茶蛋糕濕潤可囗,cream 幼滑,配合中間清新的紅梅醬和果肉同吃, 絕配。
Mango Delight 好好好吃,芒果 mousse 幼滑香甜不造作,芒果肉新鮮不過熟,一囗接一囗,

喜歡這個玻璃樽仔,就揀了 Pot Creme Brulee。
裏面的朱古刀布甸很滑,與香濃甜美的朱古力槳同吃,好好味!

Choco Passion ,中間的熱情果啫喱中和了朱古力,薄薄的脆底,好吃。
那個似是 passion macaron 就不須多提了 !

這餐好吃得現在也回味,塞翁失馬,焉知非福!
不過我倆仍有征服 102 的決心!

至於飲品方面,我就叫o左caramel macchiato, 而我朋友仔因為唔飲咖啡,所以就叫o左iced chocolate。 我o個杯幾好飲,不過朋友仔o個杯就話唔夠Starbucks濃,佢寧願飲返Starbucks咁話。不過整體來說,都叫滿足o左口腹之慾啦!久唔久來一個咁o既聚會,都算人生一大享受~

平凡的日子裡,如何找尋樂趣?飯是每天都要開的,雖然不是每天大吃大喝,可是,當很想很想吃某樣東西的時候,再遠再貴都捨得,這就是平凡人不平凡的樂趣! 我把openrice.com設定為首頁,每天看看有沒有真正吸引到我的東西,找不到就在家裡吃波仔,下水餃燙青菜。最近Ritz Carlton Hotel新開的 Pastry Gem 那個綠茶蛋糕就是從圖片看到非吃不可的東西啦!圓方商場我挺熟的,因為常常來這裡看電影。知道新開幕的天際100跟Ritz Carlton酒店都位於ICC (International Commerce Centre),怪就怪在三個地方的入口處都不相同,我問了好幾個詢問台才找到這家在酒店lobby的餅店。要了一杯double espresso 來配蛋糕。 咖啡酸酸苦苦的,是我很不喜歡的味道,我喜愛的是苦中帶甘;蛋糕吃起來很有層次感有蘊底我很滿意!最外層是綠茶糖粉,酥酥脆脆跟下層的慕司都是入口即溶,不會太甜,中間紅紅的raspberry醬像果凍般酸酸甜甜,偶爾還能吃到清香的乾果肉。這些乾果肉,感覺應該是覆盆子,但吃起來口感跟味道都像葡萄乾。店裡的小姐說是覆盆子,但看起來還

圓方商場我挺熟的,因為常常來這裡看電影。知道新開幕的天際100跟Ritz Carlton酒店都位於ICC (International Commerce Centre),怪就怪在三個地方的入口處都不相同,我問了好幾個詢問台才找到這家在酒店lobby的餅店。

要了一杯double espresso 來配蛋糕。 咖啡酸酸苦苦的,是我很不喜歡的味道,我喜愛的是苦中帶甘;蛋糕吃起來很有層次感有蘊底我很滿意!

最外層是綠茶糖粉,酥酥脆脆跟下層的慕司都是入口即溶,不會太甜,中間紅紅的raspberry醬像果凍般酸酸甜甜,偶爾還能吃到清香的乾果肉。這些乾果肉,感覺應該是覆盆子,但吃起來口感跟味道都像葡萄乾。店裡的小姐說是覆盆子,但看起來還是像葡萄乾。。。最底層的蛋糕帶有些許濕度,也是入口即溶,總而言之,這個甜點於我而言算是很精緻的了,吃在嘴裡笑在心裡,我給它滿分!
如此難得的好東西,當然不能空手而回啦!挑了半打,兩個綠茶,兩個芒果,一個桃,一個是passion fruit.
回到家,第一個想吃的是“桃罐”。
“桃罐”附贈的牙膏狀杏桃醬用來擠在最頂層,直接吃也不錯! 罐子打開是香滑的牛奶巧克力慕司,巧克力慕司裡還暗藏著一顆顆脆脆濃度很高苦苦的高級黑巧克力小珠珠,最底層是較濃稠酸酸香香的杏桃凍。簡簡單單創意無限!

晚上,跟老公一起分享,他吃的是綠茶,我挑了芒果。 毫無意外的綠茶蛋糕贏得了他的贊許!我的芒果蛋糕是撲鼻的芒果乳酪香,裡層有碎碎的果仁,搭上濕濕甜甜蛋糕底。這個配著我從巴黎帶回來的果茶喝感覺相當美好!
唯獨那個百香果,我試了一口就不碰了,沒辦法!巧克力我不是很愛就是不碰,還好有老公把它解決掉!

最後是精心挑選的
Fruit cumble danish($20),超欣賞這件酥餅同時有著香脆crumble粒,以及酥香鬆化的danish雙重口感,甜度合宜並有著香口牛油味,美味令人滿足。不過餅店不設返熱服務,是日所吃的出品已經攤凍;如果將這件酥餅外賣回家,焗熱再吃,滋味相信更會加倍!

有什麼好吃呢?
1. Cherry Macaroon $20
問了waitress她的推介是什麼,就她本人口味而言,就是這個Cherry的比較特別。都同意,其他什麼chocolate﹑pistachio外面的都有,這個味就實是少見。食落口又不太覺Cherry的味道特出,不過要讚好的是比Paul Lafayet好幾倍,因為外脆餡軟夠新鮮,相比Paul Lafayet就少了點誠意。

2. Greentea and Raspberry $38
先切開一半,wow!又紅又綠靚到不得了!內裏的raspberry味道最令人拍手,新鮮莓香酸配綠茶粉微甘香一絕。值得加許的是,海棉蛋糕濕度剛好而面層噴上去的雪入口即溶,好過癮!還有,mousse內有rum raisin,食到睇唔到,得意!

3. Mango Delight $38
Hey!不得不試!面層的水晶層發著亮,聞起來芒果味濃郁,一點都不造假,Mousse一吃就將你味蕾包圍。

4. Banana Cacao $38
一向都討厭蕉,不過師傅將蕉蓉 + 香滑朱古力mousse =係人都不會抗拒啦!可惜倒轉頭朱古力有點蓋過了香蕉,一下子竟沒有了蕉香。

5. Choc Passion $38
強調Passion fruit不是我心水味道╴但今次投降!外表已經引死人,頂放了一粒mini mscaroon,而熱情果真的很熱情,酸到單眼。不過同朱古力加上底層的hazelnut脆脆,即刻中和各味帶出層次。

6. White coffee choclate $38
Tirumisu外表,不得了!由上至下:white chocolate - coffee mousse - brownie(不太肯定是否brownie,但肯定不是sponge〉,咖啡濃香似expresso,唔知以為有人煲緊咖啡,用詞絕無浮誇。10個讚有10個!

7. Jivara Apricot $38
三個願望一次過實現:好玩‧好食‧好睇
相信沒有見到牙膏裝的鮮apricot paste擠落去吃吧?整樽構造好看極,有milk choclate mousse又另加了朱古力脆珠,樽底有apricot果凍。四者混合甜酸平均。

8. Pot de Cacao $38
特別最尾才享用,吃得出用高濃度可可甘苦味,超幼滑的mousse還有面層滴出來的朱古力醬,滑到有點不可相信,所有朱古力人有可能每星期來這裡坐就是因為它!

9. Earl Grey tea $45
堅持一壺一杯,要多一隻杯都不能。用原葉茶包浸泡不過不失。飲到尾升發現有一小昆蟲,waitress肯給我們換個一壺

可惜waitress的服務就一個熱情另一個冷靜無表情,可能多了點客人吧,只有兩個人服務,感覺他們都辛苦。

五款甜品中,要數造型最特別,一定是這玻璃樽裝的Jivara apricot,因同上的牙膏太過觸目了! 由我來主持「吱牙膏」儀式,其實中間是微酸的杏脯醬,配上底層輕柔微甜的朱古力慕絲,形成一酸一甜的對比。然而才在上面吃過超難食的黃梅杏脯朱古力,對這個組合心有餘悸,個人是只吃了一口就停手。可以說,是玩味大於食味的一項。

Pot de cacao因是食友心水推介,故特別有期待,吃來也果然沒有失望:慕絲口感如絲柔滑,同時朱古力味極香且濃,餘韻纏繞口腔;同意太公所言,這比起樓上103的任何一件出品,都更朱古力更有代表性呢!

最後試
Chocolate Passion,發覺它與樓上Chocolate Library中最叫好的朱古力拿破侖結構相似,都是有著很吸引的脆底;而這件餅則多一層酸甜的熱情果夾心,口味對比頗鮮明,也很得甜魔歡心!

* 2次都喺嚟邪惡早餐,因怕tea time附近時間要排長龍,又會有sold out嘅機會............這裡服務又窩心(主動幫忙將樽仔洗乾淨,又斟暖水..........又唔收+1喎,真喺難得呀

於chocolate library吃了個不太盡興的下午茶, 對ritz carlton 的甜品有點卻步, 本來興趣勃勃還想掃埋9/F的Pastry Gems, 也有一點卻步.....不過, 猶幸, 我們堅持繼續下場因為這兒的甜品, 比樓上的, 精彩得多.最引人注目的是"牙膏", 是的, 看來看去, 怎麼有一款甜品蓋上頂著一支"牙膏"啊? 大家看看像不像? 其實這是Jivara Apricot, "牙膏"唧出來的也是杏脯醬, 可調較分量, 喜歡酸和果味的可多唧一點; 配上中層的輕盈朱古力醬, 整體感覺輕怡清新, 屬開胃小品, 第一道試這個, 剛好!既然開了第一個蓋, 也順手開埋第二個, pot de cacao; 與Jivara Apricot的清新輕怡剛好相反, 甫入口, 濃烈的朱古力味襲來, 而且朱古力mousse很幼滑, 對朱古力迷來說, 很刺激很吸引的一款, 令人一試愛上, 將剛才在chocolate library的任何一道都比下去....banana cacao也很吸引, 黑朱和香甜的香蕉味道很搭配, 也是濃厚的味道, 但香濃得來帶著甜美蕉香, 與pot de caca

banana cacao也很吸引, 黑朱和香甜的香蕉味道很搭配, 也是濃厚的味道, 但香濃得來帶著甜美蕉香, 與pot de cacao 各有千秋.

chocolate passion 酸酸的熱情果與黑朱古力的濃厚朱古力味道相輝映, 沒有突兀, 反而多了一份平衡感, 吃了兩款勁香甜濃厚的, 這道也可令人清新一點, 吃上去很舒服, 而且底部脆脆的, 與上層滑溜的果醬及餡料配上, 豐富了口感.

Praline Nougat 相對來說比較弱一點, 太甜而朱古力味淡, 我個人不太喜歡

值得一讚是這兒的服務 - 我們一行人佔了這麼大地方才吃5個甜品 - 老實說, 也有點不好意思, 不過也沒被嫌棄, 侍應還體貼的奉上清水, 窩心呢!! 而且, 當我們告訴外藉女侍應 (貌似經理) 說, 這兒的甜品比樓上choc. lib的好吃, 她還會開玩笑地說: "我不會告訴他們, 怕他們妒忌..." 哈哈哈~~!! 令人很有和鄰居說笑談天的感覺, 很自在輕鬆呢!!
侍應還細心地奉上水, 讚!!

不過老老實實, 9個甜魔, 為何只吃5個甜品呢? 實在不夠喉啊!! (就算之前已在choc. lib掃完一輪 - 鬼叫佢地果D唔好味令人唔滿足咩!!) - 是的, 最初見到餅櫃有齊7款, 還以為可以來個一掃光, 興奮莫名, 豈料原來餅櫃內全都是display不可食用, 實情是, 綠茶和芒果兩款已售罄了, 嗚嗚嗚~~~~ 不過, 這兒實在又美味又抵食, 又令人感覺舒服, 一定要再來盡情狂掃多次!!
個餅櫃呃咗我....

原意要品嚐102/F的朱古力圖書館, 早上嘗試打電話訂位, 回覆下午茶時間不設訂座; 於是便兩點多來到酒店, 看見入口大堂的電梯前人頭湧湧, 細問之下, 原來很多朝聖人士很早已經來到等候入座, 明白今天是登高無望了, 唯有選擇了在大堂的Pastry Gems先試吃了一頓簡單下午茶.這裡是分為堂食和外賣兩個價錢, 一場來到當然是選擇堂食; 餐廳座位不算很多, 我們坐離開西餅櫃較遠的座位; 兔有她的堅持, 要到102/F才願意試吃, 於是我一個人點了cappuccino 和 chocolate muffin 來慰藉一下心情低落的舌頭便算了...坐在樓底特高的大堂, 享受著四面落地玻璃引入的自然光, 感覺恬靜悠閒; 其間不停有客人到達酒店, 希望能享受高人一等的下午茶, 但大都失望而回, 有些堅持要等候的, 便在大堂找個位置靜侯佳音. 等食期間再次確認了下午茶時間不設訂位, 於是便改訂了同樣位於102/F的意大利餐廳Tosca, 因為要選擇假期日子, booking也要排到月底了... 也難怪的, 要到這裡的觀景層也要花一百多一個人, 吃頓飯祇不過多花二, 三百, 那樣划算, 自己想想吧 胡

胡思亂想期間, 咖啡和鬆餅都同時送上了; cappuccino 大大杯, 泡沫面沒有拉花, 氣泡的細密度祇屬一般, 咖啡香味可以, 味道不算突出, 以酒店的咖啡水準來評還算合格.

反而朱古力鬆餅有意料之外的驚喜, 外層夠脆, 裡面夠鬆軟, 而且口感帶一點濕潤, 不會是乾巴巴的, 能吃到濃郁的朱古力味, 個人很喜歡的口味; 推介給朱古力達人兔品嚐一口, 吃過後回答兩個字 "普通", 噢... 可能還沒有轉回好心情吧...

整體來說若能夠上102/F, 當然不會在這裡下午茶, 但純粹想找個地方歇腳的話, Pastry Gems 還是一個不錯的選擇.
這次可以當作是Ritz-Carlton 重開的一個序幕, 期待月底試吃的意大利菜, 雖然已經不可能嚐到昔日Toscana 的味道, 但現在的主廚Vittorio 是南意大利料理的大師, 應該會有不一樣的驚喜吧!!
