Fine Dining 就食得多,但泰國菜的 Fine Dining 我還是第一次試,今日晚餐就同朋友來了位於中環擺花街的「Plaa」。餐廳裝潢華麗,以綠色為主調,感覺得好時尚又舒服。🔸前菜Crab Kra Thong Thong蟹肉撻造型非常精緻,蟹肉帶少許微辣,配上脆脆的撻皮,既惹味又開胃🤤🔸主菜Nam Prik Kapi 豬肉茄子甜菜根,豬肉表面煎到有少少焦香,豬肉本身帶有甜味,熟度剛剛好,粉嫩粉嫩,配上茄子和甜菜根一起吃,味道更加提升Gaeng Keow Wan 鮑魚肝和鮑魚配上甜甜辣辣的泰式綠咖哩,口味好特別,鮑魚肉質爽口鮮嫩,完全不會被綠咖哩蓋過它的鮮甜味。 另外,附上的Brioche 帶冬陰口味的餐包也很特別,味道帶微辣再搽上牛油一齊食,喜歡食剌激的朋友一定會愛上🔸甜品Lam Yai 椰子雪糕配上龍眼糕,表面淋上了威士忌味的焦糖,這口味是第一次食到,好好味。

It was absolutely amazing! ❤️The fish was perfectly cooked and had a beautiful texture. ☺️The coconut milk-based sauce was rich and velvety, complementing the fish well. 🥰

Great mix of flavors and textures. 😝The chicken wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The plum sauce was the perfect accompaniment, with its tangy and slightly sweet taste. 🙌🏻Highly recommended!

🔸Japanese shima Aji marinated with Thai soy sauce and sake, served with pickled celtuce and gooseberries , finished by Thai green chilli dressing with grape seed oil. It was a nice depth of flavor🤩

😋 The grilled green chilli mixed with Thai herb and spinach , prepared like a Thai pesto sauce cooked with capellini pasta come with razor clam and bottarga from Taiwan😀

The shrimp dish was a true delight! ✔️ The shrimp were cooked to perfection and had a nice crunch to them, while the pomelo salad added a refreshing touch. The betel leaf was a nice addition.😋😋

The brioche was simply heavenly! It was perfectly flaky and had a nice buttery flavor. A must-try for bread lovers!🥮

🔸Coconut panna cotta with pandan ice cream🍨
The coconut panna cotta was creamy and had a nice coconut flavor that wasn't overpowering. The pandan ice cream was a nice complement, with its subtle but distinct flavor. The combination of the two was simply divine! 🥰🥰

Thai green curry is mixed with abalone liver , then topped with stewed South Africa abalone and zucchini gratinated with Thai herbs butterIt is great👍

Plaa is a rare fine dining restaurant offering Thai cuisine. Named after “fish” in Thai, Plaa presents a modern interpretation of Thai cuisine highlighting both local and regional seafood and produce.

I was lucky to try their dinner tasting menu featuring fresh and seasonal ingredients with herbs, spices and sauces .

The MENU goes as the follows:

🔸Kanom Krok
- A sweet and savory street snack with creamy coconut filling.
- It had strong truffle aroma and I liked it!

🔸Nam Prik Goong Dip
- It looks like Chinese spring roll , so crispy yet tender inside !

🔸Yum
- If you think it is one kind of soup , then you are wrong
- “Yum” means mixed in Thai and it is a spicy and sour salad.
- The sauce is well balanced in which you wouldn’t find it too hot or sour.

🔸Larb
- It is a meat salad that mainly sold in Northern part of Thailand
- I like the Hokkaido scallop, it was so fresh and went unexpectedly well in Thai sauces

🔸Neua massaman
- The waygu meat and morels went well with the curry sauce!

🔸Jang Lon
- The shape of the dish is so cute, like a lollipop!

The two dessert featured almond panna cotta and Longan perfectly ended the night


It’s definitely a very creative yet delicious attempt of mixing contemporary and traditional Thai cuisine ;) worth a try

— 鱈魚非常肥美,味道而且非常濃郁。鱈魚先用泰國發酵倒像醃製兩小時,然後烘烤。魚配上椰子泡沫味道好特別,外邊好少見。椰子香味而帶上小小的甜味簡直是意想不到的配搭。
