和男朋友一齊搵韓國燒烤,結果無訂位去到佢話要等到成個鐘頭,結果就誤打誤撞去左呢間,第一次在這間食,外貌好似好老舊的店,沒有menu在門口,待應說要等一等,咁就等左20幾分鐘,入到去坐底個感覺真係好似去左韓國咁,最鐘意個環境既感覺。打開menu,其實都算貴,有個我地二個人食的套餐A都算OK,佢有幾款你揀,咁我揀左有五花肉,辣海鮮湯,炒年糕,坐在裡面的雙人位,個枱面都放滿晒,等左無耐佢就專人幫我燒肉,D野好快到齊,其實都食得好急,因為佢地係咁幫我地燒,後來D湯同年糕都凍左,如果下次有再黎我會分開叫,等D食物無咁快凍晒,總括黎講好有韓式味道。

慕名前來金巴利街吃韓國菜,知道無電話訂枱,擔心星期日無位,一早六點前來到,入座後,餐廳裝修一股,得兩張二人枱,商議好叫$500元套餐 , 等候食物期間,食客人流漸多,約六時半右陸續一窩蜂上菜,期間韓籍女侍應為我們燒五花腩,牛舌,草菇,最初覺得服務殷勤,但漸漸發覺她不斷地燒及分菜,目的是像催促我們快點吃完,由於上菜太快,之前已上的炒年糕及海鮮湯,在未吃得切的情況涼了,連生果都上埋,之前致電查詢答覆是沒限時交枱,但短短完成燒烤過程,服務員已為我們收去燒烤鐵板,看得我目瞪口呆,在短短40分鐘(已包括上厠所), 完成這個套餐!本想再坐一會,已發覺服務員的眼神不太對勁。味道除了前菜小碟好吃外,燒烤之五花腩及牛舌,在催迫下,侍應會把燒好的肉類放在爐邊,導致焊乾水份,失去肉味!涼了的炒年糕之味道更覺辛辣!一句到尾,本想慢慢享用之晚餐,在沒想到之情況下完成!六時二十五分開始進食,七時十分結賬離開,雖然我是六時入座,相信我不會再光顧此等韓式快餐!

跟一位常要到韓國拿貨的朋友吃飯, 當然要吃韓國料理。本來想到旁邊的店吃, 但實在太多追韓分子, 我們只好選擇2nd choice。700元的應該夠吃吧, 馬上就點了個B餐。這裡的格局非常似大排檔, 但我喜歡他們的服務, 因為我們等位的時候有兩位小姐已經吃完很久, 還在玩愛風, 那位侍應生在我們等位的時候不時出來說對不起, 還不斷問那兩位客人需不需要加食物, 她們很快就走了。讚! =)前菜很多, 但可惜香港的韓燒還是沒有free refill那些小食, 有點失望, 因為我們夾到半路已經不夠kim chi及辣蘿蔔, 不過無論如何, 服務還是蠻體貼的, 而且前菜很好吃而且很多樣化, 加分。等了不用兩分鐘, 他們應該想儘快回臺所以就上了牛扒, 嘩﹗好大塊! 脂肪還脂肪, 瘦肉還熟肉, 應該不會很好吃吧? 侍應生加了蒜片跟洋蔥, 很快我們就可以開餐了, 生菜夾上紫蘇, 泡菜跟牛肉就成了朋友口中傳統的自制牛肉卷, 一咬下就出了點問題: 牛肉質素問題, 硬得很, 這麼一來便咬不開牛肉, 菜還菜, 牛肉還牛肉不能一齊食, 失望。我決定全放入口再算﹐味道還不錯的, 牛肉非常靱, 紫蘇味道不會搶, 並沒蓋

我們兩位男士叫了韓國啤, 我個人覺得是沒味道的啤酒, 清得不知道在喝啤酒, 非常適合不能喝酒的女士們。
這裡雖然有點不乾淨, 而且吵得很, 但食物卻算可以, 我不懂去分什麼正宗不正宗, 反正就是值得一試的平價韓燒。

朋友生日,壽星女話要食韓式,我們就來了尖沙咀韓國街尋找生日飯之旅,經過多間好選擇,就來了清溪川,我們坐了門口側面的大枱,坐得舒舒服服,點完菜,就好快有十小碟前菜放在眼前,冷麵…今日咁熱點少得它,酸酸甜甜,冰涼透心,麵質煙「un」,仲有半隻蛋蛋食,薯仔薄餅…賣相吸引,軟林林,點汁會好味d,泡菜炒飯…去親韓店都會叫,間間炒得不一樣,份量多,幸好我們人多,食得哂,泡菜無平時咁陰濕,尼個我第一口辣得一陣,打後都唔覺辣,煎蛋麻麻,餃子年糕…無咩特別,不吃都無損失。食尼餐飯,我好口渴,可以放壺茶俾我就好喇,費事次次叫人來添。

兩年前去過一次都食到一肚氣,今晚同朋友去食,諗住有改善。點知都係咁不知所謂!!啲肉燶唒又唔理,食落又冇肉味。個湯就係得個辣字,一啲海鲜味都冇,辣都冇唒味。個年糕又甜又辣,又係辣都食唔落。最好笑係呢間野,叫佢小辣係唔得囖。我地要求小辣,個個服務員答我”唔得喎”,問佢點解又扮唔識聽囉。食到尾,我朋友啤酒都未飲完,就要求我地埋單,重指一指話出面好多人等位。食物又差,服務態度又差,又吹客埋單,不過令我更嬲既係個價錢,3個人食,埋單8xx。我本人就一定唔會再去,因為實在太難食了!差差差!!!!

有10小碟小吃已經不錯,外面多數以人頭計, 喜歡小吃冷盤海帶, 很新鮮爽脆,燒豬腩肉- 燒出來很香口,不過豬腩肉比較薄身,沒有啖啖肉感覺, 正宗韓式應該配合生菜包著會比較好燒牛肋骨- 正, 好juicy ~~~~~,肉質算厚新, 平時喜歡吃偏生牛肉, 不過這牛肋骨燒至6-7成比較合適, 點了韓式地道麻油海鹽,真係很配合燒好既牛肉海鮮辣湯- 超正, 超正係因為好辣但好甜, 甜係因為好多好多蘿蔔, 2cm2cm &脆肉瓜, 大約有6隻蜆, 2隻蝦, 份量好足,成個湯有飲完好溫暖~~

6月25日(星期六)晚,M小姐約了內子和P小姐試婚紗。前陣子我們結婚的時候,M小姐和P小姐都是內子的姊妹,這趙新娘子換了是M小姐,姊妹陣容亦決定以原班的女子組籌備她的婚禮。女孩子的試衫活動實在沒興趣參與,所以預計她們差不多試完衫,才出去和她們吃晚飯。不過內子告訴我P小姐竟然想在婚紗街附近有「小韓國」之稱、金巴利街內其中一間的韓國餐廳吃,實在有點出乎意料,難得P小姐有如此雅興,當然樂意奉陪。我們來到金巴利街後,發覺餐廳大多坐滿,在隨意選擇一間等候期間,我留意到這裡剛好有張可坐六人的空檯,問過店員能否容納七人,外籍侍應說可以加位就決定在這裡吃,“主席位”就由小弟坐罷!雖然我倆和食友西打兄一樣,素來不喜愛點套餐,惟這次人多,點套餐再多加其他食物會較方便點菜,所以我們七人點了套餐B,再加韓式炒粉絲和韓式炒年糕各一份。其實套餐B和套餐A的分別,祇是可多點一款肉類和一份菜肴,肉類分別選了雞肉和牛肋骨肉,其餘選了海鮮豆腐湯、海鮮煎薄餅和石頭鍋飯。點了菜後,前菜隨即送上,因人多共有九小碟,除了鐵膽主角泡菜、銀魚仔、大豆芽和菠菜外,還有薯仔、茄子、西蘭花、黑豆等。這裡始終是正宗的韓國餐館,泡菜醃得正宗,

一直認為韓式燒烤的肉類優勝之處是重其醃製之方法,所以雞肉和牛肋骨肉都很入味,不用醮醬油吃也可以,然而我們這夜談得太開心,往往把肉類燒得過熟,未能對其肉質作出評價;

接著送上來便是烤肉,想不到,除了烤肉外還有兩份驚喜。一是包肉的生菜,在香港,很多菜館也要額外點一份菜。第二個驚喜是還附上了辣味噌醬,這個醬真的是韓式烤肉的精粹。

烤肉送上來後,店員便開始幫忙烤肉。牛肋骨肉不算厚,在烤爐上烤個幾十秒便差不多可以送入口。一貫韓式味道,肉質鬆軟帶甜,要挑剔是牛肋骨肉太薄,失卻了豐厚的感覺。
要正宗嚐到韓式食法,當然要用生菜包烤肉。挑一片菜,挾一塊肉,加上味噌醬和蒜片,包好,原塊送入口。吃的不單是豪邁風味,清爽生菜搭上濃味的醬汁和烤肉,其中滋味和享受,實在難易形容。

韓式辣豆腐也是那一句,泡菜好吃,該店的鍋物類食品也一定好吃!
熱呼呼的送上來,連忙舀一塊豆腐,連著湯汁送入口。又辣又酸的快感立時傳遍全身,豆腐不是絹豆腐,相對比較硬實一點。不過吃盡充滿泡菜味的湯汁,用來配飯,確實是妙品。

最初對這道菜不太感興趣,免為其難的吃一口,想不到充滿驚喜。粉絲雖然比較細碎,但入口味道濃郁,同時充滿著麻油香,配上不同的菜蔬和肉類,豐富了味道的層次。作為全餐的結尾,真的適合不過。
後記:
跟大家說一下,清溪川這店在本地韓國菜館中,雖然沒有太多宣傳活動,但經過不同食家介紹和推薦後,也是薄有名氣。不過最叫西打印像深刻的是那個跟首爾名勝相同的名字:清溪川。
味道,勾起了回憶,
一幕幕清溪川的畫面在眼波上流過。

今次韓國街經驗無想像中咁好,以為可以食到韓國地道驚喜,但味道仲係掙一 dd,唔可以話唔好食,但唔可以話好好,應該有改良既空間,希望下次有驚喜啦!

環境:店面唔算大,但卡位極為寛闊、客人可以都可以坐得舒舒服服。亦無金壁輝煌,只係和階既韓式裝修。

服務:當晚只有兩位年青既男侍應,都以英文與客人溝通,起初都以為佢地係韓國人,後黎我請佢地幫忙睇一d韓文字,先知佢地原來係尼泊爾人,但一 d 都唔似。但佢地都好幫忙讓厨房既同事翻譯。响點菜既時候,侍應都有提醒我地叫既份量可能過多,幾體貼呀!整個食飯過程亦都有不停加茶、加水,服務有禮唔錯呀!

A sudden crave of Korean food, I brought my family to the renowned Korean street in Kimberly Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. I picked Tsing Kei Chuen at random. I walked in and made a reservation. The waiter who served me, seemingly a Korean, did not understand Canton so speak English when you were in the restaurant. There were also waiters who could speak Canton, so watch your luck if you don't want to speak English.

Decoration - When I came back at 7.35, there were a few people queuing outside the restaurant. I was glad that I made the reservation. The restaurant is décor in simple brown and white. The restaurant is pretty small but the seating is spacious with a large rectangular BBQ tables surrounded by mostly block seating, no wonder people had to queue up outside. The ventilation system seemed functioning efficiently as I did not smell a strong scent when I stepped into the restaurant.

Originally I was not planning to have Korean BBQ but dishes, yet my parents had already ordered Set A ($400 for 2-3 ppl). We chose Beef Rib Barbeque, On Tongue, Mixed Seafood Pot Stewed, Spicy Fried Rice Cake and two cans of beer from the set and an additional order of Korean Pork Belly and Mix House Pancakes.

Side Dishes - There were 11 side dishes that came right after we made our order. The kimchi was average, not particularly spicy. The colour was lightly red, seemingly not fermented enough. The bean sprouts were fresh, savory and delicious. Potatoes were sweet and soft, but not mushy. Noodles were delicious yet slightly on the soft side.

1) Beef Rib Barbeque/ Ox Tongue/ Squid
When the raw meat arrived, the waiter helped us to cook the meat immediately. Very nice service, but I would not mind barbequing the food myself. The Beef Rib Barbeque came with 2 large bones along with several meats. The beef were nicely seasoned and tender. The beef attached to the bones were fatter and juicier. I personally like the have the bones more. The Ox Tongue was nice but was not savory enough so saucing was essential. I did not have the squid, my dad had it all.

2) Spicy Fried Rice Cakes
Spicy Rice Cakes is my favourite dish at all times, but Tsing Kei Chuen’s was not something I like. The sauce was not spicy enough and was more on the sweet side. The rice cakes were chewy but some were undercooked, where part of them were soft and part of them were hard. On the other hand, the other ingredients e.g. veggies seemed to have over-stewed, which were soft and lacked of texture. My sister and I felt very disappointed at the dish. A good comment about the dish was that it came smoking hot. (Literally heaps of smoke)

3) Mixed Seafood Pot Stewed
The soup tasted very nice! There were lots of ingredients within the pot, several medium sized shrimps, squids, onion, peppers, tofu etc. The taste of seafood permeated the soup and was perfected by the mild spiciness. Although the portion was small, I managed to squeeze two small bowls out of the pot. Delicious!

4) Mixed House Pancakes $180
Upon ordering, the waiter told me the preparation time of the dish was 30 minutes. As I ordered the dish right at the start of the dinner, I did not really mind waiting. The whole reason I ordered the house pancakes was because I was indifference between their ranges of flavour available on the menu. So I picked the most expensive one as it seemed to have included everything. When the pancakes arrived, I was in shock. First the plate was huge. Secondly the pancakes were not pancakes at all, but were lots of assorted fried food and a few pieces of kimchi pancakes at the side. No wonder it was called the mixed house pancakes.

All of the elements on the dish were meticulously prepared, and I love the colour combination. Most of the pieces were fried food like 煎饟三寶 which were topped with fish paste. I particularly love the green pepper. The green pepper was fat, very fresh with lots of juice, soft centered but crispy at the skin and was a great pair with the fish paste. Despite the green pepper, mushroom and the shrimp, it was difficult to tell what the food is by its outlook. The dish was generally good and definitely worth trying out.

To conclude, I think Tsing Kei Chuen has adapted too much local adaptation. Saying that, I mean the dishes they provide were not totally a genuine Korean taste, as most were not spicy at all. If you go to Korea and visit any store in random, I could assure you whatever you order it would be hell spicy(but nice).

Furthermore, I was not satisfied with the sauces too. Most of the sauces tasted like they were diluted, from soy sauce, salt mixture (for pork belly) to the soya paste that came along with the lettuce. I felt most discontented with the soya paste, it was extremely diluted which did not give a paste texture anymore, not to mention it was not savory enough. I understand this street is renowned for Korea food but I wonder whether the food quality were up to the hype and myth.
