I haven't been to watami for a long time. We were looking for a place to eat and they had lots of empty seats so without thinking, we went inside because everywhere else needs to wait. The beef udon in hot pot came first, I guess this was quite easy to make as they just need to put udon and beef in a hot pot. There were not enough soup after it started to boil because the udon absob all the soup. Once it started to boil, we added the egg and mixed it together. At the end, the soup was quite beef
The beef udon in hot pot came first, I guess this was quite easy to make as they just need to put udon and beef in a hot pot. There were not enough soup after it started to boil because the udon absob all the soup. Once it started to boil, we added the egg and mixed it together. At the end, the soup was quite beefy. The beef was very hard to tear off and chew. The udon was quite stretchy. The grilled scallop with butter were all burnt! The presentation wasn't that good and I think they use too much butter because you can squeeze out butter in every bite. The scallop tasted like rubber. The assorted skewers came, there were chicken, chicken cartilage, chicken wing, meat ball and tomato wrap with bacon. The chicken was alright, it was tender. The chicken cartilage was the best, it was easy to chew and full of flavour. The chicken wing was over seasoned, it was so salty. The meat ball was scary, it was so meaty and when you bit it, the mince fell apart. It was just so messy. The tomato with bacon was alright but the bacon was very hard to tear off. There were nothing special with the egg sushi and ell irodori sushi. The ell sushi was over seasoned; there was just too much sauce which you can't taste the fish at all. Lastly, the cold soba with tempura came. I always love cold soba but this one is just horrible. The soba was all cut up in pieces so every time I lift some up, a lot of them dropped off. The tempuras were hot and crunchy.
