又是獨個兒與小友搏鬥的日子....揍過他下課後大家肚子都餓了,於是馬上跳上過海巴士,到了金鐘灣仔一帶找吃....沒有特別的地方想吃,那就隨心的求其挑一間吧....在太古廣場三期那邊下了車,附近正是日月星街一帶的食肆,選擇自然不會少。不過拖着小友比較"論盡",帶着他團團轉去找食店是既費事又失時的,故此一下車後抬頭便看見的"囍宴甜藝",不由細想便衝了進去....小友一向最愛食蛋,那就叫一份挪威三文魚籽伴桂花燻蛋。賣相是極美的,蛋黃看似嬌艷欲滴,流心程度屬No.1;三文魚籽十分新鮮,用口一咬底下一股鹹鮮之味便馬上湧了出來;不過缺點是煙燻味及顏色是不太夠,而且桂花香亦不算濃郁....記得上次到圓方分店時也嚐過這裡頗有名的陳皮骨。嚴格來說實應稱之為"炸陳皮肉粒"才對,吃遍了一整碟也找不到一件骨頭來。份量算是十分的多,對只有我和小友來說當然是頗費力才吃得完;陳皮香不是特別的突出,反而只是嚐出一口甜味來,想這味道應是來自陳皮的吧....不過對個人而言這就真的是太甜了;可取之處是肉炸得外酥內軟,是軟熟得沒咬得一口渣的,最重要是入口是既乾身又不太油膩....阿婆牛肉麵亦是上趟曾吃過的,不過今次由都有小友

記得上次到圓方分店時也嚐過這裡頗有名的陳皮骨。嚴格來說實應稱之為"炸陳皮肉粒"才對,吃遍了一整碟也找不到一件骨頭來。份量算是十分的多,對只有我和小友來說當然是頗費力才吃得完;陳皮香不是特別的突出,反而只是嚐出一口甜味來,想這味道應是來自陳皮的吧....不過對個人而言這就真的是太甜了;可取之處是肉炸得外酥內軟,是軟熟得沒咬得一口渣的,最重要是入口是既乾身又不太油膩....

阿婆牛肉麵亦是上趟曾吃過的,不過今次由都有小友在所以叫的是非辣版本。麵條只是普通的白麵,嚼落不太夠韌勁這一點倒讓人有點失望;牛肉是切成片的位,入口軟淰無渣;湯底是跟平常喝到的擔擔麵湯並無兩樣,是以花生蔴醬為主,質地甚見稠且濃,很不錯....

LAST一餐FAREWELL LUNCH,拖咗咁耐先寫,真係唔好意思......一行五人一點就去到,但十二點檔既人仲未走,間舖又唔係大,餐廳設計既玄關實在太細,唔夠咁多人企,同埋個日仲要落雨,等位等到去人地枱邊,好似美食廣場等位咁.....終於等到有位啦,叫咗個四人餐+SET LUNCH,結果超多野食:干煸四季豆偏鹹偏油,欖菜味倒是不錯,撈飯還好。芥末海蜇有點辣,但混了麻醬,很香。魚籽桂花燻蛋味道雖淡(吃不出桂花味),但蛋黃橙紅得來自然得一股蛋香,入口滑溜,正!梅子汁拌炸魚:我覺得全場最好味係呢個!魚柳體積較小但冇骨,炸得外脆內嫩,而且冇諗過梅子汁入饌原來如此美味,酸酸甜甜剛好中和了炸物的油膩感,又沒有外國炸魚配檸檬的酸度,不錯不錯!梅子花雕雞翼:酒味甚濃,但難得雞翼比較瘦有嚼頭,當作前菜或小吃也可以秘製鎮江骨:菜式偏甜,反而不夠酸,太遷就了香港人的口味。鹹蛋黃煮豆腐:撈飯一流,鹹蛋黃夠足料又夠香口,不過食咁多鹹蛋黃,偶一為之好啦。謝謝各位前同事請食飯,名餐廳來說,價錢也不算太貴,用料雖非名貴但注重細節,大廚功夫足,如果某些菜式的味道能再調節一下就好了。順帶提提真的要訂位,下次來吃晚飯

Spoon relish onto one of the 6 thin slices of toasted baguette and voila. This was pretty much all there was to it, which seemed overly simple, like something fixed quickly at home. Perhaps the baguette slices could be slightly buttered, if only for more a more attractive goldenness, or perhaps some salad leaves as well – to reduce the self-made quality.

Again, I felt that this was quite an original recipe, and it was also quite nicely done, such that the edges of the pancake were crispy and there was plentiful plump turnips as well as mushroom and dried shrimp. However, although there was a right amount of batter, it was slightly too mushy and doughy.

This was an interesting twist to the traditional version, which is worth a try, but in the end I’m still more of a fan of the latter. I find that this lacked peanut sauce and peanut crumbs. The noodles were very al dente, which is a sign of good quality ramen, but personally, I prefer the type of noodles used in the traditional version, which somehow for me, matches the intensity of the sauce more.

DESSERTS
I was most eager to try the desserts, since this is the Sweets branch afterall. Unfortunately, the whole array of durian desserts were not available since it’s not the right season.

I’ve heard most about this dessert and decided it had to be good. But… the glutinous rice layer, though not too thick, was completely soft and mushy and totally lacked any chewiness whatsoever. I’m not sure that is deliberate, and if it is, this take on glutinous rice balls is really not my cup of tea.

Home-made ice-cream: another must-try item. Sadly, I was rather let down again. It lacked tofu taste and smoothness. It was more akin to sorbet rather than ice-cream. The wine sauce also lacked intensity, and the pears seemed to not have been cooked for long enough.

The pairing of glutinous rice and ice-cream together is incredibly enjoyable, shame about the taste. To me, caramel and banana is itself a mouth-watering combination, but sadly, the tastes of both were hardly detectable. It was really just sweet - if one didn’t know what flavour the ice-cream was, it would have been pretty difficult to tell.

For $220 per head for the above 6 dishes and 3 desserts, it’s not expensive at all. I just didn’t feel it was worth it.

跟好同事吃的開年飯 (慘,四月才寫到一月末的吃),選址在金鐘的囍宴。其他人對這店的評價相當極端,有人說真材實料,也有人說又貴又唔好食,所以知道 jacky yu 這名字很久,但一直就是沒動力去吃。難得這次有同事選了這地方,終於有原因/機會來了!地方較小,訂了 12:45pm,但去到餐廳還要等上十五分鐘才有桌。午餐的餐單多是小菜,另可加配小吃,這天我們四個,就要了四份主菜 + 三份小吃呀。先來的是芥茉胡麻醬小黃瓜海哲絲,相片拍得不好 (那時我應該已經餓到手震…),但食味相當不錯,海哲本身沒甚麼味道,伴上濃味的胡麻醬就很配,入口爽身,小黃瓜也新鮮,沒出水的情況,但就稍稍被醬掩過了味道,而最驚喜的是芥茉的分量下得剛好,讓人吃得到 wasabi 的存在,但又不會嗆得人淚流滿面,反而讓整個小吃都清爽起來,很稱職的一道前菜!之後上的是話梅花雕醉雞翼,剛好可以每人一隻,雞翼沒雪味,話梅也讓雞翼去掉了酒的少許苦味,入口帶一絲甘甜,反倒是這碟雞翼擱在雪櫃太久,變得有點乾身,雖然酒味甚香但吃下口還是有點柴皮感覺。主菜之一是這個中華冷麵,值得一讚的是這冷麵真的很夠冷 (?),而且碟底沒半點水漬,證明擱麵的功

先來的是芥茉胡麻醬小黃瓜海哲絲,相片拍得不好 (那時我應該已經餓到手震…),但食味相當不錯,海哲本身沒甚麼味道,伴上濃味的胡麻醬就很配,入口爽身,小黃瓜也新鮮,沒出水的情況,但就稍稍被醬掩過了味道,而最驚喜的是芥茉的分量下得剛好,讓人吃得到 wasabi 的存在,但又不會嗆得人淚流滿面,反而讓整個小吃都清爽起來,很稱職的一道前菜!

主菜之一是這個中華冷麵,值得一讚的是這冷麵真的很夠冷 (?),而且碟底沒半點水漬,證明擱麵的功夫做得相當不錯,這也是做菜有沒有用心的小例證呀。麵灼得爽滑,上面的材料對我來說有點像配角,有雞絲 / 青瓜 / 紅蘿蔔 / 芽菜等爽口之物,吃起來完全不膩,配上的醬汁很和風,也大概是胡麻醬 + 醋的混合,我們四個都很喜歡這冷麵呀。

另外的主菜是西芹雞柳一類 (對不起這菜連網上的餐牌也找不到…),賣相有點頹但其實是吃了一半才影 XD 廚師下了點 xo 醬來炒,讓本身平凡的菜都惹味起來,雞柳沒雪味,西芹沒煮得過熟,吃起來還是我喜愛的爽口,也是在水準之上。

我選了這個私房足料魚湯泡飯,足料該是指魚湯方面,因為魚湯味道非常濃郁,喝得出真下了不少魚來煲;相反呢其實除了白飯以外,這主菜的配料不多,也是蔥菜 / 莞茜一類,但店家聰明的下了不少脆炸銀魚在湯內,銀魚浸過湯後可帶出少許鮮味,而更重要的是讓整個泡飯增添了好些口感,不像吃白粥般單調。簡單的材料但做出來的確很好吃。

沒上鏡的主菜還有一碗海鮮喇沙,很遲才來,老實說沒甚麼亮點,湯頭再濃一點的話會更好。

最後一道小吃皮蛋肉鬆豆腐,直到我們差不多吃完主菜才來,而且也應該是在廚房擱了很久才拿出來,肉鬆已被豆腐出的水弄得有點黏糊,碟底的醬汁也有點被弄淡,但說來味道其實不錯,面頭配料的味道本身濃郁,跟味淡的豆腐很相配。

吃罷主菜,我們都有點意猶未盡,最後就多點了三個甜品…咳咳難怪我越吃越肥。

這個沖繩黑糖雪糕伴咖啡凍一上桌就很吸引人眼球,拳頭般大的黑糖雪糕,吃下口不如想像般甜 (不過鄙人是相當吃得甜的說),帶有淡淡的黑糖香氣,入口細滑,沒碎冰混在入面,餐牌上說是自家製的,那倒是很有水準;咖啡凍相對地沒甚麼味道,入口只有些微咖啡香,伴著黑糖雪糕吃味道更淡,也許是我把注意力都放在雪糕上面了吧?

另外兩份甜品就是這裏的手打湯丸,私房手搓黃金湯圓 & 手搓綠茶芝麻流沙湯圓,黃金湯圓的外皮較厚,入面是椰絲 & 花水餡,這碗湯丸最喜愛旳地方竟然是配菜的蕃薯糖水,蕃薯軟綿,本身也帶有甜味,質素不錯;另外的綠茶芝麻流沙湯圓,丸如其名,芝麻餡流沙得很,難得的是吃著濃味的芝麻餡,也能吃得出外皮有著綠茶味,而且兩者也配合得不錯,所以也偏愛這款多一點。

侍應的服務勤快,食物質素也令我很有驚喜,也令我有點想試這裏的晚飯。買單約 $600,以質素來說完全不貴 (有時在灣仔食個難吃的 lunch 也差不多 $100),人少少可以再來覆桌!又,特別鳴謝囍宴的 official website 讓我找回這堆 official 菜名…

As there were only two of us, we could only order 3 dishes and a noodle to share:
1) Fried pork ribs with aged tangerine peel (香酥九製陳皮骨);
2) Fish cutlet slices with preserved plum sauce (梅子汁拌炸魚);
3) Fried duck slices with glutinous rice (香酥糯米鴨); and
4) a dan-dan noodle (招牌擔擔拉麵).

Yes, the 3 main dishes were all fried as they seemed like the most appetising choices on the menu. We note that there were patrons sitting nearby who ordered steamed fish and other tofu dishes, but these did not look very appetising (though I cannot vouch for the taste).

In spite of its name - 香酥九製陳皮骨 - the meat was actually boneless. The fried pork pieces with aged tangerine peel consisted of pork pieces fried in a thin batter till golden brown, and then sprinkled over with what we deduced to be aged tangerine peel that was ground into a powder. The batter was light and crispy, and the meat was not overcooked. There was a mild taste of the peel with each bite, though it would have been nice if they were a little more generous with it. Nonetheless, a delicious dish that would have been great with a beer!


My friend fell in love with the fish cutlet slices that was drizzled over with preserved plum sauce (梅子汁). The fish itself was ordinary, not overcooked. But the essence of the dish lay in the sauce, that was just the right touch of sweetness balanced with a bit of tartness. We enjoyed the sauce so much that we used it as dressing for the shredded red cabbage garnish in the other dishes. It was a great combination too as it took the bitter edge off the cabbage.


The last main dish we ordered, 香酥糯米鴨, consisted of thick duck slices placed atop a thin cake of glutinous rice and then fried. We suppose this was the fusion version of the traditional Chinese fried duck with mashed taro, but it turned out to be the disappointment of the evening.
This seemed to be a popular dish as we saw it at quite a few tables, but the fried glutionous rice was more hard than crispy and the duck, while not overcooked, had lost most of its flavor.

I usually buy the instant DIY version of the dan-dan noodles from XiYan to eat at home or in the office, but the one at the restaurant is always better. We ordered the dry version that had a little minced pork, peanuts and their special sauce with ramen. Good!


We were very full after all that food, but given the wide selection of desserts available, we just could not end the meal without having any, so we decided to share the lychee ice cream with osmanthus wine 桂花酒釀荔枝雪糕. The osmanthus in the wine complemented the lychee flavor of the ice cream very well, but for non-drinkers, be forewarned as the wine packs quite a punch.


All in all, a perfect end to an enjoyable dinner!

芝麻餡也是爆餡的衝出來,黏稠度適中,芝麻味非常之強,當中也不太感覺到芝麻微粒,令人口感很順暢,不過無論怎吃也好,也是不及福元的滑身及香,原因也許很簡單,人家用了豬油,那當然會有如此差別,不過以健康的角度去想,沒有豬油也有如此的芝麻濃香,其實已經很是不錯的了。

鹹魚白菜,各有所好,人人口味不同,不過最重要都是取個意頭,期望大家在這個團年夜,可以和家人聚在一起,團團圓圓。

My dessert came garnished with a slice of candied orange. Dried fruit lovers may enjoy this, but I found it too sweet for my liking. Also, I didn't particularly like the chewiness of the fruit in combination with the rich and smooth ice cream. However, I couldn't really taste the chocolate ice cream as the Ferrero Rocher sauce overpowered it. Not that I minded. When I ate the ice cream together with the sauce, it really was just like eating the Ferrero Rocher chocolate, only creamier and colder.

The only chocolate dessert on the menu, Rocker Chocolate Ice Cream is a must-try for fans of Ferrero Rocher.

煲滾水, 放入麵條約煮1-2分鐘

麵質彈牙, 醬料調味很好, 酸味, 麻醬味加上稍微偏辣的味道..很平均..不會覺得咸..
如果加少少花生碎仲好...
整體唔錯..唯價錢唔算便宜, 始終得1人份量..

到了結婚紀念日,去哪處慶祝好呢?想起了這條永豐街。回想二十二年前,我們的第一個愛巢就在這裏,今晚,攜手回到這條街懷緬一番。如今,這一帶已面目全非,士多、五金舖都不見了,給商廈,酒吧和食肆取代。今晚我選了這爿小店來慶祝,別具意義,店名叫「囍宴」,令我們想起廿二年前我們的囍宴,而最特別的是當年新築的愛巢就在這店樓上,雖是一個斗室,但歡欣滿載,琴瑟和諧。「囍宴」,雖是吃中菜,地方似 coffee shop 多於似中菜館,燈光和壁畫都配襯得令人舒服,這晚的人客不少,差不多有七成滿。菜牌有很多彩圖,印刷精美,而墊檯紙上更印有在電視飲食節目見過的嘉賓,才知這店是他主理的。為了想試多幾款,我們點了信用卡優惠的雙人春日囍宴:話梅花雕醉雞翼 雞翼是普通急凍貨色,但味道有酒香之餘,還有話梅之甘甜,幾得意。香糟毛豆油菜花 也是冷盤,油菜花,加了毛豆和百葉絲,清涼開胃。「零味精」私房靚湯 每人一盅清補涼湯,雖是普通材料,但味道烹調得非常濃郁,而且的確零味精,整晚也無口渴。秘製鎮江骨 是我們常點的食物,酸酸甜甜,醋和糖的比例恰當,不過甜,雖然個人較喜歡偏甜,肉質鬆化入味。囍宴沙爹XO醬炒蝦球 西芹和蔥段

香糟毛豆油菜花 也是冷盤,油菜花,加了毛豆和百葉絲,清涼開胃。
「零味精」私房靚湯 每人一盅清補涼湯,雖是普通材料,但味道烹調得非常濃郁,而且的確零味精,整晚也無口渴。

囍宴沙爹XO醬炒蝦球 西芹和蔥段等炒蝦球,蝦球肉較實,不太新鮮,沙爹XO醬微辣,好味。
上湯雙翠 溫室豆苗炒得有鍋氣,減輕了草青味,爽口,墊底的一大片冬瓜肉,吸收了上湯的味道,也可送飯。
隔離飯香 是加了芝麻的白飯,只是較 gimmicky,並不會隔離都聞到香。
自家製芒果雪糕 一球雪糕加了兩粒新鮮芒果肉,自家製的芒果雪糕,富奶味,甜和香都不過份,讚!

這是一間有誠意的小店,日後也會和太座多些來試其他特別的菜式和懷緬這一帶的昔日情懷。
