Dinner organised by Whisky KOL. Whisky KOL said this kind of dinner gatherings are reserved by Kuen Gor for the closest and dearest patrons. As she is not a first timer, she requested for a menu that is different from the usual one which I appreciated. 芥末海鮮黃金卷 To start. Beautifully deep fried with a tinge of mustard in the filling, lifting up the entire flavour profile. 黑松露玻璃蝦球 Another highlight for me. Prawn had a nice bouncy texture and the black truffle sauce had a bit of shrimp paste added to the mix to bring out the umami in the prawn.
大斑兩味 fair execution. Nothing particularly noteworthy.
京城醬燒骨 Nicely marinated
薑蔥鮑魚腸粉煲 Another highlight for me. Abalone properly tenderised. Balanced flavours and wok hei packed.

Overall, the meal started strong but not so much as the meal progressed. Would revisit if a regular invites me.
