Food quality and taste is acceptable as one would expect from this price level menu. On price to value is a different story. A so called Locanda Tiramisu is presented in a standard plain white coffee cup charges $158 is a rip off, no other way to describe. A huge rift versus previous post… no tumbler glass and no coffee ice. Do not sit along the three tables next to the open kitchen unless you want to be walking kitchen fragrance.

Michelin Guide Recommended Restaurant

Locanda dell’Angelo’s brunch is too underrated! Not only it’s good for value, the quality is top notch too! Although they don’t do unlimited refills for their appetizers any more, it’s still a very filling menu.

From the 5 appetizers we had to share amongst 3 of us, we enjoyed the burrata salad and the pesto green beans crouton salad the most. The prawns on the beetroot salad are very fresh too. The grilled zucchini and cold cut was a huge board to share. Honestly the appetizers alone already filled us up.

But the mains were so good that we cleared all the plates. It’s worth every penny to add on for the red prawn linguine. Perfect al dante and the red prawn 🫶🏻 Their Pappardelle Bolognese was so good. Their pasta is faulty proof. Their chicken is an add on option but the price is fair as well.

Dessert wise, a warm apple tart and tiramisu just gave the perfect end to the meal.

With HK$200, you can have unlimited alcohol as well! Love that they only charge HK$20 per person for sparkling water! Seriously give their brunch a try! I left with a really satisfied 🤰🏻

Good to hear Locanda is doing weekend brunch. One more spot for boozy brunch on my list now! A very good deal for the brunch package. $450 for food. There are two free flow packages. $200 and $350. Both including bubbles (Prosecco/ champagne), red wine, white wine, soft drinks, beer, water and coffee/tea. How good is that? After serving bread basket, few starters were served for sharing. Grilled Squid Salad, Basil Pesto, Green Beans
Love this salad as well! Basil pesto is so fresh and it goes really well with the squid and the potato.


There’s also a hot starter grilled Toscana Salsiccia, with Roma tomato sauce
The Italian sausages were served in small hot casserole in a rich tomato sauce. My friends said the dish made them missing home



Each of us can choose one dish for main course. We all pick a pasta dish.

“Gentile” Tubetti, with eggplant, tomato, ricotta cheese.
Tubetti is al dente! Sauce is so rich! Always a great combination with tomato, basil and ricotta. Can’t never go wrong!

“Gentile” Linguine, Gambero Rosso, Spring Vegetable Sauce (+$250)
This is the high light of my brunch! Red prawn from Sicily. So fresh and I was surprised it was in a pretty decent size! The sauce is so rich of seafood flavour. Pasta is al dente as usual! Feel like heaven!

A good tiramisu and coffee to finish lovely brunch!


Locanda is always one of my favourite restaurants for some great Italian food. More people should know this place and visit them. Try out their food and you won’t regret!

有次同朋友一起去食,環境比較清淨,食物質素也算不錯,畢竟係義大利菜,而且評論小有名氣。但有個瘦瘦細細粒女仔,服務極度唔夠專業,手勢,方方面面,叫都唔應。呢個價錢的服務真係唔抵,餐廳好似無負責人管理呢個女仔一樣,唔會去第二次啦。希望餐廳可以好好教育她,如果唔係私人高級餐廳咁樣D服務邊鬼個會返食?而且價錢都唔算平啦,真系不知所謂。希望下次有朋友見到自己做好心理準備,唔好比她影響到你的晚餐心情呀,盡量唔好搵她服務嘍

繼而是招牌菜-海膽意大利飯,見到個樣已經知道得,飯粒飽滿吸汁力強,硬硬地 el dente 的口感,海膽甘香新鮮,非常合拍。

原來尚有一小秘訣,大廚刻意加了些日式芥末,有助帶出海膽之鮮甜。

黑毛豬頸肉,肉質鮮嫩細緻至極,口感竟然似在吃牛舌,燒汁滋味,蘸一些,錦上添花。

旁邊特別配了三條帶苦的菊花菜,原來甘苦之味有助減膩,與肉同吃非常匹配,Chef 真有心得。

一款是今日特色,我忘記了叫什麼名字,鬆軟嘅蛋糕質地,吸收了白酒香,雖然配料有忌廉,口感依然輕盈清新。

Was so impressed by the pasta last time! Looking forward what dishes I will have this time! And heard they have a new dish roasted local yellow chicken! Already very excited before arriving Locanda! We had ham platter to start. Then the first starter is Asparagus, slow cooked egg, celtuse and ham on top, serve with a sauce made with asparagus.
This is a plate with all my favourite food! Asparagus is super well cooked. The egg add a silky smooth texture. And celtuse! I love this veg and happy to see more and more western restaurants using celtuse.

Still remember I was so overwhelming (in a good way) by the seafood pasta last time. This pasta is cooked with local clams, Japanese Tuatua, with parsley potato sauce. Pasta is al denté!!!! Clams are so sweet and fresh! I think i can have another plate of this! Pasta here never let me down!

Was talking to my friends about the French Toast at LPM and… surprise!! Didn’t expect chef will prepare french toast for us. Warm toast, crispy outside. And they must have soaked the toast in the egg for sufficient time. This dessert makes me happy

I don’t really go to Happy Valley often and definitely not familiar with the area. A friend invited me to this cute little italian restaurant for Saturday lunch. Came back for their dinner tasting menu after the change of the head chef. Based on my experience that night, I think the quality still maintains and we had a great night.

The three of us ordered a variety of starters and mains to share. The ossetia caviar adds the right amount of saltiness to the tooth fish and the crispy bits added texture. The fassone tartare was well complimented by the additional uni. The key is that they didn’t just throw expensive ingredients together but the flavor profiles do work!

The red prawn tagliatelle maintains its standard as one of the best in town. The blue lobster and veal loin were cooked to perfection. The truffle mashed potato with the veal was plate licking good 👅

As for dessert, thanks to the manager Mandy’s recommendation, we had the melon panna cotta. Silky smooth yet refreshing. Just perfect after a very filling menu.

Special mention to the lemon meringue in the petite four. The lemon custard was sooo good! Hopefully they can change it to an official dessert soon!

Overall, still recommend this place for celebrations!

Weekend free flow at this lovely Italian restaurant located in Happy Valley. Overall, food & wine were nice for the price! Good services as well👍We took the Brunch menu including UNLIMITED cold cut// Tapas// salad, 3 kinds of pasta , 1 Main and Desserts. 今次試食的餐廳位於跑馬地源遠街,店面雖小,卻有很多店員裝潢時尚、整潔、有品味乍看之下,就會覺得是一家對出品有要求的小店🌸小吃 Tapas蜆 Calms /w nduja, herbs肉厚而鮮美,份量適中24個月黑毛豬火腿火腿是現切的,質素十分高:雖然只有24個月,但脂肪厚、橡果味濃,是肉質非常好的黑毛豬火腿🌸前菜 AppetizerGillardeau生蠔配上熟油甘魚粒、魚子,及牛油果醬,味道配搭和諧,還有高級日餐常見的可食草海草墊底生牛肉他他並非常見用來做牛肉他他的品種,肉味較濃,但也很美味,配菜的味道也很配🌸麪包盤店員自動給了我們兩盤,應該可以任添。麪包本身已有小蕃茄及香草調味,雖然有給我們配上油醋,但個人認為麪包及脆片本來的味道已經很濃了,不需要再額外調味。話然如此,友人仍然為我點了牛油不過送來的卻是植物牛油🧈,並不是我喜歡的動物牛油🧈🌸可樂有驚喜!竟然用上可以增加可樂汽體活躍度的可樂專用杯!可惜夏天的可樂就是充滿鐵銹味(始終夏天的可樂,在運輸途中難以避免會經過暴曬⋯⋯)🌸藍龍蝦🦞意大利麪這邊竟然有招待,到處都缺貨的法國藍龍蝦!已經幾個月沒有吃過了。果然藍龍蝦的肉質就是鮮甜、滑嫩

並非常見用來做牛肉他他的品種,肉味較濃,但也很美味,配菜的味道也很配

店員自動給了我們兩盤,應該可以任添。
麪包本身已有小蕃茄及香草調味,雖然有給我們配上油醋,但個人認為麪包及脆片本來的味道已經很濃了,不需要再額外調味。
話然如此,友人仍然為我點了牛油[偷笑R]不過送來的卻是植物牛油🧈,並不是我喜歡的動物牛油🧈

可樂有驚喜!竟然用上可以增加可樂汽體活躍度的可樂專用杯!可惜夏天的可樂就是充滿鐵銹味(始終夏天的可樂,在運輸途中難以避免會經過暴曬⋯⋯)

藍龍蝦🦞意大利麪
這邊竟然有招待,到處都缺貨的法國藍龍蝦!已經幾個月沒有吃過了。果然藍龍蝦的肉質就是鮮甜、滑嫩!配上的意大利麪煮得剛好,Al dente,醬汁很濃,充滿龍蝦味。

鵝肝釀鵪鶉腿
廚師毫不吝嗇,竟然把原來小小的鵪鶉腿給釀得膨脹非常,配菜的德國椰菜也煮得很美味。調味適中,食材配搭融洽。

和牛(三成熟)
明顯的Overcooked,看樣子應該最少四成熟了。調味太濃,掩蓋肉味,配上的西蘭花🥦苗也煮得不好👎

甜品🍮的味道實在是不敢恭維
贈送的曲奇🍪雖然賣相一般,卻是十分鬆脆、充滿牛油🧈味

環境乾淨整潔、時尚浪漫,
廁所🚽雖然狹小,但也十分乾淨,而且五臟俱全:有消毒廁板液、自動感應垃圾桶

整體除了甜品及和牛之外,
其實食物質素都十分高,
而且環境優雅恬靜,是約會的好地方

Situated in a quiet lane of Happy Valley, this small Italian restaurant looked very simple in appearance, but their food tasted phenomenal 

This modern and unpretentious place had an open kitchen with black walls and pictures of Sicily to signify the seafood-influenced menu and where the chef was from.

We came on a Friday night and the entire place was full. Booking is highly advised. 

We ordered one 4-course Tasting Menu (HK$1,080) and one 5-course Tasting Menu (HK$ 1,380). There was an extensive list of options to select from. You could choose your own tapas, appetizer, pasta, main course and dessert.  There was also an Italian-heavy wine list. We shared a bottle of red wine 🍷

For tapas, we ordered Cuttlefish Pappardelle and Pan Fried Baby Squid. Too hungry I forgot to take photos of them. But I remember we preferred the Baby Squid

For appetizer, we had the New Zealand Scampi 🦐 with caviar. Super interesting combo with strings of sweet cantaloupe. It worked! 


For pasta, we both chose the Linguine Mancini which was Brittany blue lobster pasta 🍝 and one of their signatures. Wow it was sensational!!

As for mains, we ate Japanese Fukuoka Amadai and Aveyron Lamb Rack. My fish was cooked to perfection! Just look at that beautiful skin 
 Delicious pure with it too. The lamb was very succulent and tasty as well.

This place was truly amazing and unique in flavors. The only downside was their seats and tables were not spacious, as it was a small restaurant. Our waiter was walking closely pass us to serve other tables the whole night as we sat in the middle section like at a corridor. Don't expect comfortable fine-dine seating for a fine-dining price. The price is reflected in the high quality of food instead of the environment.

Overall, what an underrated hidden gem for fine authentic Italian cuisine! 
 Highly recommend it if you don't mind splurging a little bit

意粉有三款,黑松露risotto有好濃嘅芝士味,但我最欣賞嘅係佢嘅墨汁意粉。墨汁鋪喺底,非常鮮甜,而且仲加咗pesto去煮,都算係我最鍾意嘅墨汁意粉之一!
