After a 30 min wait, we finally got a parking. There are a few restaurants serving brunch in that area. But we finally picked Jaspas. And we chose the outdoor seating. Looking around, a lot of people brought along their dogs to enjoy brunch here
Ordered two breakfast sets. Each set comes with toasts and 2 drinks. Yea, 2 drinks. You can have different drinks, like a juice and a coffee. Or you can have the same drink twice, like 2 juices.
I ordered the scramble egg and avocado sandwich. And my hubby chose the Egg Benedict with ham and spinach.
Orange Juices were served first. It's fresh OJ, where there's a lot of pulps! It's served chilled, which is perfect for the hot day. Yummy!
About 15 - 20 min later, our breakfasts were brought in. By the way, it's a popular restaurant. So it's expected that it takes a little longer to prepare the food.
The sandwich that I ordered was the Turkish bread, which was a little chewy. It's not easy to cut with the knife provided. It came with a pretty large portion. The avocado was completely covered by the eggs! And interestingly, Hollandaise sauce was also served in a side dish.
I tried the first bite without the sauce to see how it tasted. Um, the egg was prepared nicely and not overcooked. Avocado was ripe. The combination was almost perfect. Why not perfect? It should have been salted a bit more. Maybe that's why they are offering the Hollandaise sauce as well.
The baby asparagus served on the side was very tender and fresh, which made a very good protein, vitamin and fiber balance.
My hubby enjoyed the Egg Benedict as well. I just tried a little. The egg was soft. The ham was just standard. Hollandaise sauce was served on the side as well.
We enjoyed the sun shine so much that we spent almost an hour to finish our dishes. We finally ordered our second drink. I tried cranberry juice. Then I realized OJ was so much better. My hubby ordered an iced cappuccino. I didn't try. But he said it's ok.
What a relaxed Sunday morning! Jaspas is surely on our Sai Kung dining list.
題外話/補充資料:
It's very hard to find a parking in the area. We got there before 9:30 am on Sunday (thought that we were early) but still took us at least 30 min to get a parking. So be patient :P

I've been going to Jaspa's in Sai Kung since I first arrived in HK in 2003, and boy was I sad to see how low it fell yesterday!
We (my wife, 3-year old kid, father, and I) arrived there at 10:45 yesterday morning, for what we hoped would be a relaxed Sunday brunch. The restaurant was full as it usually is, but there was a table for us. We ordered quickly (i.e., well before 11). Nothing fancy -- French toast with bacon on the side, Eggs Marianne (i.e., Benedict), a kiddie serving of pancakes, and what the menu describes as "Mexican crepes -- chicken and peppers in a spicy tomato sauce".
After a few minutes, the waiter brought one piece of toast sliced into two triangles. My daughter and father shared it between themselves. The waiter immediately cleared the table, so we thought the food was coming.
Were we wrong. At 11:15, another waiter, walking by, surprised me by patting me on my shoulder and saying, "Your food will be here soon." At 11:20, my kid started saying she's hungry, so we flagged the same waiter and asked him if we could have some bread while we waited. At 11:25, we flagged another waiter - our original guy - and asked *him* for some bread. After two minutes, he brought us another single slice, with six-eight packets of butter. By this time my father was scooping butter out of the packet and eating it as is. At 11:30, the older guy brought us a basket with six small buns, which we shared.
Finally, at 11:40, almost an hour after we had ordered, our food arrived. Well, almost -- my "Mexican crepes with chicken" had no chicken. There was a mound of mushrooms in brown mushroom sauce. So I flagged the older guy down again, and told him I wanted *Mexican* crepes, not "mushroom" crepes. He took my plate away and brought it back within a minute, untouched and unaltered, saying: "This is chicken", and walked off. Incredulously, I dug deep into the pile of mushrooms... and finally located two stringy pieces of chicken. (No peppers, no tomato sauce.) I waved the guy down again as he was walking by and raised my plate in his path, and said -- "There is no chicken in this. I wanted the *Mexican* crepes." he took the plate away again.
I went back to waiting. I was too angry to look at my phone again to note the time -- let's just say I had to wait long enough that the others at my table had nearly finished their food by the time my crepes came back. Guess what -- same brown mushroom sauce, just a lot more chicken mixed in. I quietly put my head down and ate my relaxing brunch. Meanwhile we could hear tables around us grumbling, "It's been an hour", "We had three orders".... Sorry, Jaspa's -- it was good while it lasted, but never again.
Coda: While I was signing the check, the older guy came and apologized. I said I've been coming here nine years, never had such a bad experience. He said, "You're a good guy. I'll buy you a drink next time." Oh well.
除了a la carte之外,還有All Day Breakfast及午餐供應,午餐其實大多是三文治、多士及不同的包類,由於All Day Breakfast中最大份那四款,亦即最貴的那四款,都包兩杯飲品,所以最後包括吸引了六人之中有三人選了All Day Breakfast,最湊巧的是大家都是點了Egg Benedicts,另外的分別點了兩份Steak Sandwich及一份Ham with Pineapple Chunks Toasted Fingers。

My partner and I went to celebrate her birthday in Sai Kung. I had already planned on a certain place, but when we got there it did not look as appealing as it did on Openrice. We ordered a half loaf of Jaspas Toasted Super Sub with Cajun chicken (55) and a smoked salmon pita with salad (90). For drinks we ordered an iced cappucino (25) and an iced mochaccino (25).
The Cajun chicken sub came with a small dish of salsa. Half loaf just means a six inch sub, whereas full loaf would be a foot long. The chicken was flavorful and tender. However, the bun was cold (wasn't it supposed to be toasted?) and the cheese was not melted. If not for the issues I just mentioned, this would have been excellent.
The smoked salmon pita came with a side salad. Each pita half was stuffed with some lettuce, one large slice of smoked salmon, some mayonaise, etc. I guess my digestive system is not so strong because I found the mayonaise a bit difficult to digest afterwards. At the time of consumption, this tasted pretty good though.
The iced cappucino and iced mochaccino was topped with sweetened whipped cream. Presentation was good, but flavor wise they seemed a little bit on the plain side. Not much taste or sweetness. Not really ok.
They also provide cold or warm water with a lemon slice. Throughout the meal they would keep your water refilled, so the service is definitely very good. The staff are well trained, smiled, and well mannered.
We were too full to try any dessert, but we got a glimpse of the desserts at neighboring tables and they looked enticing.
While I'm not too happy about the iced coffees, the ambience is great. Jaspas is the sort of place you would chill with buddies over some drinks on a Sunday afternoon. Glanced at their wine list and it is heavy on the southern hemisphere wines, which suits me just fine. Would like to try al fresco here some time when the weather's nice.
