15:40 Ordered a 2-Course Brunch. Steak tartare to start with and lobster benedict was the entree.
15:50 Steak tartare came and it was surprisingly delicious. I have not had this before and was amazed with the texture; though the beef was curated, it does not taste raw instead I liked the presentation. I am pleased the chef made this so delightfully tasty for my first steak tartare tastebuds.
16:00 Having eaten the first dish I had good impression on the next one; lobster benedict which needed to add $25 for this entree. But baby loves benedict with the egg yolk lava. Baby had a few bites and continue sipping more milky egg yolk with some spinanch and some asparagus on the side. This was again very tasty. Finally, I am so glad that I have made a right decision today to try the Hawk & Aster for the first time. Happy Father's Day! Baby and I were full with hapoy stomachs. Oh yeah! I will come back again to try more great French fusion concept dishes.

我在星期日下午兩點半至四點間打咗六次電話去訂位,從來無人聽,錄音叫我留言,一日後都無人覆,咁都得?綱上訂枱都幫唔到手,二月全月都話午飯時間無枱,真係咁好生意所以對客人唔秋唔彩?

I came to eat here a few weeks ago, the food was ok however halfway through I realised there was a hair in my food. I immediately told the waiter but was received with a unfriendly demeanour. The food was sent back and only half the portion was given back. There was no proper apology, I paid the full bill. There was just an abrupt and rude behaviour from the same waiter throughout the service. I contacted them a few times after and no response. This encounter has made it feel as if they don’t ca

本來是想去Shangri-La嘆個下午茶,但2時15分去到,都話冇位要排隊。那樣便排吧,在太古廣場,行來行去便入了這家,Shangri La, 等到4:05pm 才到,太遲。入了這間The Hawk and Aster 的店,看下去個名好似好掂,原來只是Elephant and Grounds 的。我們想飲杯咖啡和食件餅,但選擇非常少,得一兩件餅可選擇,但價錢竟然是一百三十蚊左右。。。。還貴過文華酒店的餅???咖啡只是30蚊,加埋10%也只是33蚊, 非常平。但真是一分錢一分貨,平所以唔好飲,得個顏色,薄薄的一些咖啡味都冇,非常差!!!我覺得這一間so called cafe,算是我試過的最差一間!非常失望!

— Loved the simplistic plating for this! The Boston lobster was pretty fresh with a firm texture. I really enjoyed the light and slightly chewy texture of the English muffin which went really well with all of the other elements of on the plate. Personally thought the hollandaise sauce could’ve done with a lot more flavour and also lacked acidity to it. The spinach was also really gritty.

— My eyes lit up when I saw this on the menu and knew I had to get it 😍 Definitely something that needs to be shared as it’s a massive slice and pretty dense. The sponge itself was super moist and had a rich chocolate flavour, the valrhona ganache was simply to die for as it was so smooth and decadent without being overly sweet. The cake is finished with a generous shaving of milk chocolate for that extra boost of chocolatey goodness.

— Might be one of the best fish burgers I’ve had in HK…and tops the famous fish burger at Lobster Bar at Island Shangri-la 😮 As the saying goes, two is better than one, and double-decker fish fillet burger definitely delivered. The fillets were lightly coated in their tasty batter and deep fried perfectly. The melted aged cheddar on top really added to the rich flavours, and their house-made tartar sauce had the perfect level of acidity to help balance out the greasiness from the burger. Their brioche bun was also very light and fluffy! Fries were a bit disappointing though, quite hard and seemed a bit stale.

— Really rich lobster bisque that was packed with flavour and a generous amount of lobster meat. Also comes with a massive cheese twist on the side which is thoughtful but way too oily and oddly chewy (might’ve been better had it been hot).

見到OpenRice 衣間新野,見都大部分好評,於是去試試,餐廳環境ok, 食物比預期有d失望。。我地食dinner , 所以落完單,佢就上左2塊法包比我地,個包暖暖地同脆,都ok,冇咩特別。個龍蝦湯一上台幾香,有龍蝦肉係入邊,跟湯個包幾好食,不過唔知點解個湯愈飲愈咸咁🤔我地小食叫左個魚子醬薯寶,好似好特別,但係唔知係未口味問題,個人覺得完全係gimmicks , 魚子醬冇口感又冇味,個沙律醬都係,忍唔住問佢拎個番茄醬,成件事終於岩返哂🤣🤣個主菜封門柳配薯條係最正,個牛味好濃,薯條係脆,個意粉味道唔差,但個人覺得個粉,口感偏硬左少少。signature cocktail, white negroni, 入口偏dry, 但慢慢會有花香味滲出,我覺得調返冇咁dry,會比較match … 總結,若果想試下,應該食lunch , 晚餐以咁既價錢,可以有更好既選擇

最後嘅甜品我選擇咗:雲呢拿雪糕配雜莓醬。雲呢拿雪糕係用香草籽製成,香草味非常濃郁口感豐富奶滑。我心知可以見到一粒粒嘅香草籽。雜莓醬中有好多生果,酸酸甜甜既口感好消滯。

最後嗰壺茶係餐廳獨有,我以為佢係會一杯咁樣上。點知佢係用茶壺去裝,旁邊仲有個玻璃杯比客人自己去斟茶。飲完呢一壺茶,成個晚餐就完美落幕。埋單包埋加一服務費:盛惠$605。算係個唔錯嘅法式大餐。

This visit happened when I missed my morning yoga last week and suddenly i got 2 hours to kill. What did I do? A long breakfast to make my day right again. Avocado toast with poached egg, add on homemade smoked salmon (add on $60)See the thick cut of the smoked salmon? I was so glad i made the decision to add the salmon. Love the ikura on top. Such a beautiful and delicious dish! My Oat milk latte is great! So happy this breakfast made my day right again!

Avocado toast with poached egg, add on homemade smoked salmon (add on $60)

See the thick cut of the smoked salmon? I was so glad i made the decision to add the salmon. Love the ikura on top. Such a beautiful and delicious dish!

My Oat milk latte is great! So happy this breakfast made my day right again!

I think everything was pretty good, I especially loved this huge fish burger, it was sooo good! The portion was really generous, there were two slices of filet, the filet was crispy outside and tender inside, topped with great amount of cheese! And the brioche bun was so buttery and soft, which I liked a lot!
The tater tots paired with dill sour cream and caviar, a very photogenic dish, taste very good as well!
Beef tartare and steak & fries were ok, up to standard..

I would say the Hawk & Aster is a slightly fancier version of @elephantgrounds
Food was not bad at an affordable price, portions were generous .. I enjoyed my lunch there a lot, I would come back for the fish burger for sure.
