I like Italian cuisine. Roman Holiday is one of my favorite film. Last Sunday I enjoyed lunch at AMA Ristorante by Amatricianist (AMA) on 25/F of 208, Johnston at Wan Chai. I am happy with the authentic Italian dining experience.

If you like old traditional flavours and authentic ingredients of quality, AMA is an ideal place where you can enjoy classic dishes from Rome and its surrounding areas. It is a great place for social gathering.

As a starter, I took fegatini di pollo (香草白蘭地雞肝配烤多士). It is chicken liver on toast crostini bread with herbs and brandy. This traditional Italian dish originating from Tuscany is tasty. It is low in calories and rich in vitamins and iron. The perfectly cooked chicken livers are creamy and tender. It is best to spread the chunky chicken livers on the crunchy toast crostini bread and enjoy.

For pasta, I opted for sganassoni co la pajata (牛腸大水管麵), another very good classic dish of the Roman cuisine. This wide pasta with veal intestine sauce is unique and delicious. The sauce of the pasta is cheesy and rich. It is worth trying.

Though I am almost full finishing the pasta, I cannot resist the temptation of a tiramisu (提拉米蘇). The tiramisu is creamy and rich, a perfect ending to this meal.

AMA provides a lively and cheerful ambience in which you feel like enjoying a holiday in Italy. Service is very good. The uniquely authentic Italian dining experience is worth the money.

Weekend嚟左呢間食意大利菜午餐。落完食物後先上一籃麵包,簡單點啲意大利醋同橄欖油已經好好味。前菜叫左AMA焗布拉塔乳酪(Ama La Burrata),係布拉塔乳酪加左蕃茄去焗,配住啲麵包食好夾。另外叫左羅馬式燉牛肚 (Trippa Alla Trasteverina),燉牛肚炆到好軟冧,仲放左芝士。主菜叫左AMA特製番茄醬豬頰肉通心粉(Maccheroni Amatriciana),一個大平底鐵鑊咁上菜,保持住熱度。豬頰肉煎得香口,咸咸地,通心粉幾煙韌。另外係牛尾湯千層麵(Lasagnetta With Coda A La Vaccinara),外觀嚟講好似一隻長形雲吞,入面包左啲牛尾肉,汁底都係牛尾湯。最後加多個芒果意式奶凍(Pannacotta)做ending,奶凍creamy同滑。整體食物唔錯,環境開揚。

工人姐姐放假,跟老公去了灣仔食午飯。得知一間意大利餐廳,位於商業大廈高層,環境應該不錯。果然有開揚城市景色,令人眼前一亮。AMA La Burrata AMA焗布拉塔乳酪吃了一口,非常軟滑又帶一點點韌性,奶香味非常濃郁。芝士我不喜歡味道濃郁的硬芝士,就是喜歡這款只有奶香的軟芝士。令人滿足得說不出話來。Lasagnetta with Coda a la Vaccinara牛尾湯千層麵賣相好掂,吸引。千層麵有少少厚度,有嚼勁,有蛋香,應該是自家品牌。餡料嘅牛尾又香又濃,軟腍有口感。Pinsa Alla Amatriciana豬頰肉番茄薄餅餡料十足,層次非常豐富。採用兩種芝士,拉絲沒有難度。軟熟嘅豬頰肉,脆口嘅煙肉,還有番茄醬,有口感又富足。

吃了一口,非常軟滑又帶一點點韌性,奶香味非常濃郁。芝士我不喜歡味道濃郁的硬芝士,就是喜歡這款只有奶香的軟芝士。令人滿足得說不出話來。
