Dinner with the Chiu Chow fans. Apparently they have been fans of the chef since his time in Sham Shui Po.Restaurant had 2 levels. We were seated on the ground floor. Maybe cos of the low ceilings- had to speak extra loud for ppl on our table to hear me.Here’s what we had. 金沙魚皮生醃螄蚶- needed to preorder. 九龍城除咗泰國菜館多,我相信第二多嘅就係潮州菜館,除咗一啲老舖,其實都有啲新晉嘅潮州菜館值得一試,今日我就去咗位於福佬村道嘅潮薈館。一坐低首先就有一碟前菜,呢碟酸菜集鹹、甜、酸於一身,令人相當開胃。食潮州菜又點少得滷水鵝片,呢碟鵝片份量相當多,足兩層厚,而且每片餓肉都相對地厚身,絕對係抵食。而喺底層仲有滷水豆腐,入味得嚟口感仍然嫩滑。除咗滷水鵝片,蠔餅都係必點菜式。汕頭蠔仔洛充滿淡淡的蛋香。蠔仔份量相當多,而且每隻都咁肥美飽滿。蝦棗同蟹棗可以雙拼,酥炸蝦蟹棗都唔需要額外加錢。蝦棗口感彈牙。而蟹棗更多一份鮮味。椒鹽鮮魷嘅炸漿唔算太厚,魷魚彈牙。潮州芋泥口感綿滑,甜度適中,更加能夠襯托出芋頭嘅香味,鋪面嘅白果口感變得煙韌,食完感覺甜絲絲。

九龍城係其中一個滿載回憶既地方呢個地方除左泰國菜, 仲有好多不同款式既菜系今日去呢間餐廳裝潢非常古典中式牆上面到杯碟都有山水畫潮州菜最出名滷水鵝, 仲有D豆腐墊底鵝片同豆腐都沾上左滷水汁既五香味好食既滷水汁要唔鹹但又要夠味,真係唔易做凍食烏頭魚都幾大條魚肉無泥味配埋黃豆醬, 簡單又好食椒鹽白鱔片脆漿厚度適中, 白鱔片好新鮮咬落去帶皮既部分超肥美欖菜肉鬆四季豆份量超多, 好抵食欖菜切得好細絲, 而且比例亦都控制得好好 清心丸綠豆爽略嫌清心丸太細粒無咬口, 綠豆爽再甜少少比較好

之前去過長沙灣個間食過都唔錯,知道佢九龍城開左分店,附近有馬鐵站,去依度食飯又更方便。 滷水三寶:滷水味香濃 , 鵝片嫩滑、墨魚鮮味、鵝干豐味多汁入口軟化。胡椒咸菜豬肚湯:湯底濃,加上咸菜同胡椒味好出,酸酸辣辣好醒胃,豬肚都好夠淋。豉椒蒸大鱔: 豉椒汁稠濃,鱔肉好肥味,份量都好多,幾抵食。酥炸蝦蟹棗:蝦肉好鮮甜彈牙,亦炸都好酥脆。蟹棗應該係蟹肉加豆付搓成, 有蟹肉味之餘仲有豆香味, 有個甜酸汁配合,味道幾好。裝修同擺設都好有特色,服務有禮周到。
