這陣子的心情一直都是處於Blue Blue的狀況,幸好好友們早前相約到中環放鬆一下,聊天一整晚以後,心情舒暢多了~餐廳內的氣氛以悠閒輕鬆為主,看著這個環境,很想立即就點杯酒跟知己一起暢聚~Young & Beautiful ($140)先來點一杯雞尾酒來放鬆一下心情。這杯雞尾酒的賣相一流啦,上面放著雪條,下面就是雞尾酒。先來介紹一下:雪條芒果味的,當中加入了伏特加、芒果跟薑,味道很清新的芒果味,酒味並不算濃,但後勁十足,落到喉嚨以後就慢慢有陣淡淡的伏特加味;杯裡的雞尾酒中加入了伏特加、鮮芒果汁、老薑、柚子汁、芒果糖漿。吃的時候要把雪條放在酒裡面拌一拌,再放入口,令雪條沾上酒的濃郁味道,吃的時候的確透心涼,而且很甜的,女生們一定喜歡。店員說這個雪條是跟NICE POPS合作而做的,名叫Boozesicles,果然是「本地薑」,做出來的也蠻好食的丫~!!!卷葉芥蘭石榴凱撒沙律 ($98)以新鮮的法國卷葉芥蘭跟清甜的石榴作為主要的材料,加入脆脆麵包粒、煙肉粒、巴馬臣芝士,放上凱撒沙律醬後,整個沙律酸酸甜甜的,加上石榴清甜脆身有口感,令整道沙律的口感大大提升~!!!味道很搭配,且十分開胃呢~!

Young & Beautiful ($140)

先來點一杯雞尾酒來放鬆一下心情。這杯雞尾酒的賣相一流啦,上面放著雪條,下面就是雞尾酒。先來介紹一下:雪條芒果味的,當中加入了伏特加、芒果跟薑,味道很清新的芒果味,酒味並不算濃,但後勁十足,落到喉嚨以後就慢慢有陣淡淡的伏特加味;杯裡的雞尾酒中加入了伏特加、鮮芒果汁、老薑、柚子汁、芒果糖漿。吃的時候要把雪條放在酒裡面拌一拌,再放入口,令雪條沾上酒的濃郁味道,吃的時候的確透心涼,而且很甜的,女生們一定喜歡。

店員說這個雪條是跟NICE POPS合作而做的,名叫Boozesicles,果然是「本地薑」,做出來的也蠻好食的丫~!!!

以新鮮的法國卷葉芥蘭跟清甜的石榴作為主要的材料,加入脆脆麵包粒、煙肉粒、巴馬臣芝士,放上凱撒沙律醬後,整個沙律酸酸甜甜的,加上石榴清甜脆身有口感,令整道沙律的口感大大提升~!!!味道很搭配,且十分開胃呢~!!作為前菜就是一流啦~

炸鱈魚丸 ($108)

這個炸鱈魚丸金黃香脆,咬落去先是脆卜卜的外層,再吃就是嚐到香氣撲鼻且口感豐富的鱈魚,當中還有蕃薯的味道,就是有種很「鬆化」的感覺。喔,店員說還有墨西哥青辣椒的丫,難怪有點點甜,又帶點辛的味道。以前都沒想過「甜」跟「辛」這兩個味道可以放在一起的,但今次試過以後,覺得這個味道濃郁可口,真的是味力沒法檔~

焦烤茄子 ($98)

這個茄子真的很大個,香炸至帶點點焦的茄子配合白芝麻醬、蒜粒、青檸汁及芫荽作為醬料,再加點濃郁的車打芝士汁。整道菜對我來說就是很「新鮮」,因為..我還沒有接觸過這樣子的茄子啦(<-果然是大鄉里...)=3=

這個茄子微辣卻惹味,對我來說是停不了口...因為這個味道刺激著每一個味蕾,但這個刺激一點也無損味蕾品嚐其味道,反而令刺激味覺,令食慾大震啦~!!

墨魚汁西班牙海鮮飯 ($138)

其實我一直都很喜歡吃墨魚汁的飯跟意粉,喜歡它的味道夠鹹香又易入口。這個如是,鹹香味夠,又帶點咬口的,海鮮又夠爽口,熟度剛好。加上點點不同顏色的裝飾跟撲鼻的香氣,叫人食指大動~!!

龍蝦濃汁芝士通粉 ($128)

賣相十分棒的。芝士味十分香濃,但又不會蓋過龍蝦應有的鮮味,而且龍蝦很厚肉。另一方面,通粉煮得煙煙韌韌的,粒粒分明,芝士通粉味十分濃郁,口感一流呢~!!!

桑莓芝士蛋糕 ($68)

這個芝士蛋糕很soft的,吃跟看完全是兩個模樣。這個看上去很甜,但吃落卻甜而不漏,帶著濃郁的芝士香味,但這個味道絕對沒有奪去桑莓的清新感覺。當芝士味跟桑莓混合在一起,在口腔中就產生了很強的化學作用,十分配搭,又十分討好的~

棗蓉布甸 ($78)

外表如Brownie一樣啦,但其實這是以棗蓉製成的,相對真正的Brownie輕盈多了,甜度適中。暖暖的棗蓉布甸加上甜美可口的雲呢拿雪糕,本來賣相跟味道就是剛好。當雪糕在布甸上面溶化時,入口的感覺就是先吃到香滑甜美的雲呢拿雪糕,再品嚐到甜度剛好的棗蓉布甸,慢慢在口中溶化。這個感覺實在是非筆墨所能形容得到的丫~!!作為喜歡甜品但又怕肥的女生來說(是在說我自己啦=3=)...也不禁要多吃幾口呢~!!!
Other Info. : 這個地方悠閒舒適,我們幾位女生在這個地方暢談了一整晚,就算早上在公司有多忙有多累,在這個地方好像可以忘掉煩惱的,讓人十分投入在這個氣氛當中。當晚更有食客在搞派對呢,氣氛比想像中的更棒~!!下班在這邊吃晚飯也不錯呢~!!

現在才是戲肉, 店員將火槍燃點在小酒杯內, 再往下倒在雪糕球表面, 雪糕球在燃燒, 雖然看得眼不轉晴, 但不少得『相機先食』的時刻。最後淋上紅桑莓醬替雪糕球降降溫。燒了差不多2分鐘及加上紅桑莓醬, 外層的炸皮顯得很腍身, 不過內裡芳香的雲呢拿雪糕一點沒有溶化, 味道甜甜的又透心涼!

整體環境、味道方面很有水準, 飲品、食物的款式頗新穎, 如雞尾酒雪條Boozesicles、炸巨型雪糕球等, 值得推介給朋友一試。

  本想說要健康點不碰酒,嗯,兩天滴酒不沾。聽到Common Room有Boozesicle酒味雪條,忍不住爆發小宇宙。原來以前都有賣過Boozesicle,大受歡迎,這次是載譽歸來,背後大概要發光了。Chocolate Factory、Young & Beautiful、Aperol Spitzer、Whiskey Snapper及Crimson Sweet,五款雞尾酒均搭一條細版的Nicepops雪條,另有大版的單支出售。

  我選的Young & Beautiful內含伏特加、鮮芒果汁、老薑、柚子汁及芒果糖漿。質感稠稠滑滑,有點像鮮芒果汁的濃度,再稍加稀釋。芒果雪條用到伏特加、芒果及薑,單價 $60。芒果味道不多說一定是中心,甜香,熟透的芒果那種,不酸澀。薑味清香想不到竟頗突出,不嗆辣,但那香氣沁人心脾。

  以凱撒沙律作基本概念再加以變化的一道清新菜式。用到大熱的Superfood--羽衣甘藍,補充維他命及礦物質等,更有抗氧化作用。店方指所用的羽衣甘藍來自法國,新鮮爽脆而青味都不過火。配上紅石榴,頓時讓我想起在地中海及希臘菜中常見紅石榴沙律。酸甜果香增添清新感,配上鹹香得當的巴馬臣芝士及脆而不膩的煙肉及麵包粒。還不能忘掉那濃郁酸滑的凱撒沙律醬,大概是天使菜式了。

  最近對於蕃薯條十分注意,香脆綿甜集於一身又怎能不愛呢?這邊的竟然是粗薯條,難得地不如常見的幼身,灑上點點香草添色。本就橙黃,炸香後再多鍍上一層薄薄的金黃。甜味不重,反而是蕃薯香氣突圍而出,剛炸好熱辣辣,沒有油溢味或是油膩感。沾點自家製的Chipotle Buttermilk Aioli醬汁,甜酸之間帶有微微辣度。比起坊間大多的蕃茄醬奉桌要用心得多,味道上配搭也襯得多。

  有吃過甜的Croquettes嗎?將平常用的薯仔換成清甜的蕃薯入饌。炸得香脆又不油,每件均是金黃飽滿的,沒有油淋淋的外表,叫人安心些少。鱈魚碎混入蕃薯及墨西哥青辣椒,香味之中帶甜帶辣,卻不嗆且順口。不覺魚腥或是雪味,沾著帶酸甜辣的濃稠自家製沾醬同食就更為惹味。

以小多士的形態奉桌,不說不知這內藏蠔肉。件件疊得精美,跟平常的酒吧食物完全兩個感覺。蠔肉香稔綿滑,鮮美不韌不老,亦沒什麼腥味還是雪藏味之類。荷蘭汁滲有橙香,不會單有濃濃牛油味,同時有小蔥的清味幫忙,膩感大降。底下的多士烤得頗算香脆,香酥感重的Brioche麵包果然不俗,少甜。

  邪惡大使當之無愧,誘人的相貌讓席間嚷著要減肥的友人為之動容。澆上的不是燒汁,竟是自家製的蘋果楓糖醬,新意十足。豬腩肉肥騰騰,有如燒肉的外表,入口卻是甜香得很。皮層脂肪油香豐潤,味甘得要直接吃下不多加猶豫。肉質不算嫩口,幸好不算太韌,豬肉還是完全熟透安全點。

  Common Room供應兩款小漢堡,一葷一素,這個組合就可以一次嚐齊。一碟兩件小漢堡,別看那個頭小小的,足料得很。一人吃完兩個其實都頗佔胃納的,尤其是肉的一款。雖然比素食漢堡細件點,但味道豐富浸浴味蕾這點就教人滿足了。

  Wagyu Foie Gras Slider又是邪惡代表,鵝肝油香再加和牛油香就是幾級跳的加成了。和牛漢堡不會太老,中心嫩色粉紅證明一切,香氣濃郁不膩。只是有點鬆散,一切開就快要碎粒掉落的樣子,不多移動它快手拍一張就罷。鵝肝味厚香濃,不會過油帶腥,那輕輕焦香添加一層香氣。炒香的洋蔥甜綿可口,也有點點芝麻葉及醋醬,解膩醒胃。

  Portobello Mushroom Slider那件大蘑菇非常吸睛,一整個就是氣勢啊。蘑菇水份滿溢,濕潤爽口,毫不韌柴,清清菇香突出。中間夾有牛油果,那份清新滋潤實則不錯,也未會過膩。Gruyère芝士香味平易近人,略帶鹹香但不過濃,低調提香。同時有炒焦的洋蔥,焦香加上自然甜味當然讓小漢堡愈為香惹。

  雖說Common Room是Gastropub,但也沒想到會有Paella的出現。而且價錢如此便宜,跟動輒三四百的Paella似乎有點出入,不禁有點擔心其出品。莫非又是那些掛羊頭賣狗肉,煮個Risotto變成煮粥的店家?結果出爐,賣相不俗的墨魚汁西班牙炒飯色彩繽紛,並非單字一個「黑」。表面更盛上不少海鮮料及彩椒絲,似乎也跟足料,份量就當然不同幾百元的大鑊飯啦。

  圓潤飽滿的飯粒確是意大利米,Arborio短身又吸汁,裹上黝黑的墨魚汁還透白。彈性嚼勁滿滿,加入墨魚汁未算太油,並添上點點鮮香。且有西班牙辣肉腸坐陣,不會過份膩口,若再乾爽少許更佳。蜆肉、藍青口及魷魚三味海鮮料佔量不少,爽口無腥味,跟墨魚汁的鮮香很搭。濃味?膩滯?來點清甜的椒絲,中和一下,緩緩味蕾負擔,準備再戰。

  夏日熱辣辣,還熱到要起火,最後的甜品環節來個藍藍火焰球醒醒神先。上桌之時記緊要準備好相機,就算是小小低溫火都不可以燒太久啦。店員為炸球淋上白蘭地,點燃,炸球隨即被亮亮火光包圍。以前吃的火焰甜品大多只有數秒曇花一現的效果,這次店員分兩三次淋注,時間延長了,不過小心別烤太焦燶,本末倒置。

  澆上火紅的桑莓醬令藍火熄滅,同時添上自然莓果色澤。不要就此置之於一旁,要趁熱……不!要趁凍食啊。因為一切開就可見裏頭是一大個雪糕球,以炸皮包起。雲尼拿雪糕帶有點點細碎雲尼拿籽,甜香味道溫和可人,冰感不重,頗為細滑。炸皮厚厚一層,軟軟韌韌的略帶甜香,一下刀的時候有點如麻糬的感覺。綿彈不死實,配上那清新酸甜的莓果醬同食可去膩。

  很像心太軟吧?實際上是軟心蛋糕,不是流心那款。切開之後只見中心濕潤亮光,還在想是不是失敗出品。要不是翻看餐牌都以為這是Lava Cake,差點錯怪店方了。朱古力香氣突出,當然啦由糕身由溶心,甚至外頭的淋醬點綴均為朱古力。有著莓果裝飾,覺得太甜膩的話可以用來解一解,方便就手。可惜的是蛋糕底部太焦了點,不是苦燶,但焦味很重。

  之前才說過什麼芝士蛋糕太膩滯不想吃,這時點個加入新鮮酸甜莓果不就在逼人推翻自己所言嗎?桑莓不愧為主調,果香不單在面頭的莓果自身體現,也滲入芝士層間。淡忌廉味道不會過份厚實,比較輕盈的奶香細滑,且有莓果果味搭救。餅底厚身頗硬脆,Oreo細碎頗甜,芝士層甜度不高正正就平衡得到。
  想不到一家我們以為只是隨便喝個酒就轉場的Gastropub可以留我們整晚。來的時候還想著之後要去那裏吃正餐好,此時就可以省卻一大麻煩。由前菜、小食、主菜、甜品到飲品一應俱全,環境服務也不錯,價位亦是合理範圍。怪不得當晚都有不少客人,還以為沒多少人會留意到這藏身於和安里深深處的店子呢。果然要細心了解身邊周圍,那就可以找到潛藏的點點美好。

waitor recommend me to try wagyu foie gras burger and on top of that i also ordered my all time favourite pork belly. the wagyu foie gras burger was so cute, two mini burger on the plate, both wagyu and foie gras worked together perfectly, well cooked and melted in my month. the flavour was so rich that no extra sauce is needed. two mini burgers were surprisingly filling.

Read post of author 'shosvveet510', I just realise that 9% increment (frm 138 to be 150) on the price of semi-buffet in 2 months. Is it rental inflation or too popular for semi-buffet ? 


If you come, you will expect to have Spanish food at lunch. But no exactly, it 's no doubt that below foodie says "truly common" in title.

If i come again, I may choose to try dinner but not lunch. OR Chef thinks something new to change the menu to the real Spanish style lunch that is much better!Don't waste such easy-approaching location and good ambience.

After my first savouring of Chicken live Pate at Salon 10 (Link for my review on Salon 10), I fell in love. Common Room's pate was pretty nice too. The pate here was tangy with a silky and creamy texture. One downside is that they only served 5 thin slices of toast which was definitely not enough for the pate. However if you ask for more toast, they charge you HKD38! Meh...P.S. They don't even serve house bread.

Quite disappointingly this lobster roll is served cold as well. What's the point of serving a cold toasted bun? Anyway, the filling was nicely seasoned with paprika and lemon juice, and had chunks of lobster meat to chew on.

Portabello Mushroom & Foie Gras Sliders
Finally a hot dish was served tonight. The slider duo is a cute dish to serve for girls but a you-are-joking dish for the boys. The sliders were pretty much bite size. Both of the buns were nicely toasted and gave a crispy texture. The portobello mushroom was juicy and sweet. Originally I thought the foie gras burger only has a piece of foie gras for filling but there was actually a beef patty in it. The beef patty was juicy and tender but the foie gras was pretty bland in taste. All in all I don think the portion justify the price.

Molten Chocolate Cake
The molten chocolate cake was quite nice for dessert as it was not too sweet. The chocolate lava was not too melted in the middle but had more a rich and creamy texture to it.

Strawberry Panna Cotta
The panna cotta was very nice if the roe on top is removed as I did't think their texture compliments each other. The panna cotta was smooth and bouncy but I just wish there were more fruits.

從前以「餐廳」的角度去評論「Common Room」,當晚再一次踏進這「Common Room」,感覺卻有所不同,再經過試食的環節後,我的焦點瞬間由「餐廳」切換到如酒吧和居酒屋的層次上,應該是一間擁有多款佐酒小食和各式各樣酒品的「共享酒吧間」才對。

好,喺開始這晚的《美食之旅》前,先每人點番杯飲品。由於筆者對酒精類飲品向來興趣不濃,所以就揀了這杯以鮮西柚汁、青檸汁、雪碧等打製而成的 Lemon Lime Bitters ($70),入口冰涼酸爽,非常之  refreshing,如果當晚天氣再熱一點的話,喝起來應該會更覺醒胃提神。

The name is a term often used in colleges to represent a shared area where people can go and hang out. True to its name, the restaurants aims to do exactly that - which is to provide a casual and unpretentious lounge for people to relax with their friends, drink cocktails and enjoy food that is perfect for sharing.
Even though it is located on the 1/F, the entrance on the street level was anything but common with a cute stairway leading up to the restaurant. The cozy communal atmosphere was obvious immediately with the use of brown wooden furnishings and warm lighting. The main bar is a whopping 31 foot long with a vast glass and cast iron liquor library. I was invited by the restaurant for a tasting event with a few other people, so we got to sample a variety of dishes on their menu.

Cloxas ($155) - with three top cocktail mixologists at the helm, I was told that the cocktails here were splendid and I was not disappointed! The first drink I tried was the Cloxas with sake, citron vodka, honey, lime, passion fruit, and champagne. The cocktail was light and refreshing to drink with a lovely acidic tinge from the passion fruit. It was not too sweet or too strong - perfect to drink by itself or along with food. [5/5]

Kiss from a Rose ($110) - next, I tried one of its classic - the Kiss from a Rose with vodka, lychee, lemon juice, and homemade rose foam. I was very impressed by the rose foam, which was unlike anything I've had before in a drink. The foam was thick, fragrant, and simply delicious to sip on! The cocktail itself was delectable to drink as well with a sweeter and fruitier flavor compared to Cloxas. [5/5]

Charred Sweet Corn Salad ($58) - on to the food! With basil, tomatoes, onions, and deep-fried Tortilla chips, the corn salad was perfect as a starter with light and appetizer flavors. I love the sweetness of the charred corn and the spiciness of the Tortilla chips! [4/5]

Pulled Pork Poutine ($98) - ooh poutine! Who can resist melted chedder cheese and BBQ sauce on pulled pork and fries! The fries were very flavorful and crispy while I found the pulled pork to be a tad salty. The sauce could be stronger as well. [3.5/5]

Chicken Lollipops ($88) - what a cute name! The chicken drumstick was curiously round with a crispy exterior and moist center. Two sauces were available for dipping with maple syrup and spicy mayo. The chicken was not as flavorful as I'd thought it would be while neither of the sauces went well with the dish. [3/5]

Classic Mac + Cheese ($98) - this dish is for the cheese lovers! Packed with many different types of cheese like Buffalo Mozzarella, Gruyere, Parmesan and Gouda, the mac and cheese was scrumptious to eat with rich and cheesy flavors. I especially adore the baked cheese crisp! Nom nom nom. [5/5]

Wagyu Foie Gras Sliders ($108) - the first of 2 sliders we tried was the wagyu foie gras sliders with caramelized onions, argula and balsamic reduction. To be honest, you just cannot go wrong with the combination of wagyu and foie gras as these were simply delicious to devour! Just wished there was more of it. [5/5]

Portebello Mushroom Sliders ($98) - vegetarians are not left out with the portebello mushroom sliders! I actually liked these sliders more with gruyere, caramelized onions and avocados. The mushrooms were unexpectedly very flavorful while the avocado sauce complimented the sliders really well. [5/5]

Lobster Linguine ($178) - we also tried the lobster linguine with fresh half lobster in spicy tomato sauce. While I usually love spicy food, I found the linguine to be a bit too spicy as the delicate flavors of the seafood were easily overpowered. [3/5]

Lobster Risotto ($178) - the dish came with a generous amount of lobster while the risotto was simmered in cream, garlic and white wine. Both the lobster and risotto were cooked perfectly with the right balance in flavors and textures! [4/5]

Overall, I found the the cocktails here to be very impressive while the tapas style is perfect for pairing food with drinks. I would love the try to Lobster Roll next time, an east coast favorite that is not commonly found in HK! Can't wait to go back to try more cocktails!
