天氣炎熱,一於吃泰國菜醒一醒胃。先來一份18巷拼盤($198)。拼盤內有炸春卷,炸蝦餅和豬頸肉等。炸春卷和炸蝦餅也炸得甚有水準,吃著脆卜卜的。至於燒豬頸肉,軟軟的帶肉汁,十分不錯。泰式鮮蝦刺身($148)果然是新鮮貨式,肉質結實,真想吃多幾件。暹羅蝦($288)是浸了在酸辣汁的開邊中蝦。如果先前的泰式鮮蝦刺身是原味版,這個加了大量辣椒和蒜粒的,必定是惹味版。蝦肉肉質厚而爽彈的,伴以酸辣汁,食味提升,愛吃蝦的我甚為滿足。怕靚牛尾($198)即是咖哩牛尾。咖哩不會太辣,牛尾已經煮得軟爛,盡及了咖哩精華,很入味哩,配飯一流。燒雞的雞皮已經被燒得有點焦燶,雞肉啖啖肉的,亦甚嫩滑,沒什麼骨。可是此時大家也飽了,只有能力淺嚐一件半件。最後,甜品是芒果糯米飯。煙韌的糯米,被香氣四溢的椰汁浸淫著,別忘了配著鮮甜芒果一併吃,好吃得不自覺地吃了半碟。

一眾朋友相約來試這家泰國菜館,看見menu已經令人目不暇給,幸得泰國籍女經理為我們作介紹, 先嚟 幾款沙律 和小吃 ,包括荷蓮帶子沙律、 泰式鮮蝦刺身 丶炭燒牛扒沙律和 螞蟻香葉包 。主菜就包括 暹羅蝦、砂鍋泰式燉花膠 和 牛肋骨鍋 。海鮮類就有粉絲蟹煲和原條鹽燒鱸魚 。經理還介紹了一個蒜香炒毛茄 ,全晚每一個小菜包括小吃 都令一眾朋友讚不絕口, 當然來泰國菜餐廳必要試他的甜品,我們一口氣試了他四款甜品,包括香芒椰汁糯米飯、榴槤椰汁糯米飯、泰式千層糕和泰式椰汁西米糕 。通通都轉眼就一掃而空,各人都大快朵頤,原來經理介紹他們是主打泰國東北風味,怪不得較其他傳統泰國菜味道不一樣, 大家都認為必會回頭再試其他菜式。

個人較喜歡不太重味道的泰國菜,所以這間泰北菜館,就是我的至愛。頭盤荷蓮帶子沙律先帶出味蕾清新的口味,然後就是泰式鮮蝦刺身,仍然保持水準。而且份量適中,小吃來一個炭燒牛扒熟度剛好,另一個香辣豬頸肉,在這個無得劏豬劏牛的非常時期,更顯好味。然後就是兩個主菜-暹羅蝦大大隻的蝦球配上不太辣的調味料恰到好處,而那個牛肋骨和味鍋,就真的纯泰東北風味,鍋裏面有不同的調味辣椒、鮮番茄和菇類,真是惹味十足。每次來都必定試他的砂鍋泰式燉花膠,厚厚的花膠,實在色香味俱全,另外我們還柯打了一條鹽燒盧魚,燒得很剛好肉質也沒有被掩蓋。單尾的蟹肉南瓜炒飯,原來南瓜和蟹也可以很夾的。 還有太座最欣賞的甜品上場-包括榴槤椰汁糯米飯和泰式千層糕,每次嚟都能夠令人有驚喜之餘,更保持上誠的水準,難怪他已是我與朋友聚會的指定泰國餐廳。
