坐低後先決定飲品, 我通常都會叫熱茶, 畢竟 tea set 主要是澱粉質, 要熱茶來幫助消化呀. 不消一會, 待應便送上了我與朋友的熱茶, 再來就是期待以久的tea set 了!

樓高三層, 低層住著札實的scone, short bread 和chocolate cake. 還有 strawberry jam 和cream. 先試scone, 入口沒有預期的鬆軟, 還是金鐘香格里拉的比較出色.  short bread 就正常吧, 反而是chocolate cake 有驚喜, 一切開還是流心的呢, 想不到小小的他有如此的內涵, haha 

接著是第二層, 有五款甜品.
開心果cake ---- 一向不是開心果的fan 但都不介意試. 可是這蛋糕的口感也真奇怪, 乾而且偏硬..... 加上開心果的味道怪怪的... 不喜歡
custard cream mousse ----- 不錯, 這mousse 入口滑, 而不會太甜 
栗子 tart ---- 可以, 不太有驚喜
榛子chocolate cake ------ 好味道, 榛子和chocolate 是perfect match, 很少會出事吧
cheese cake ----- 這個cheese cake 的餅底很奇怪..... 我和朋友都覺得不應畫蛇添足, 去掉餅底反而更好呢!

高層是鹹點, 做得如一個個小卷蛋, 有三種顏色, 很可愛. 味道也很不錯. 有salmon, cheese, chicken. 好味道 =]

Other Info. : 就味道而言, 金鐘香格里拉的比較出色, 尤其是其scone, 令人一食難忘, 而 Ritz Carlton 的鹹點就較有心思和味道較好. 不過, Ritz Carlton 的美景都值得到此一遊, 最後送大家一個大鹹蛋黃 =]

My friend made reservation 3 months ago for my birthday celebration.  They take reservation 3 months in advance but the window seats are taken up very fast so you need to make your reservation in on the day they start taking reservation for the date you want to go on.  The weather isn't that good on the day I went so seems some people didn't turn up.The view is quite nice even though it was quite misty.  It would be wonderful to come over during summertime.  The window seats are with large sofa

The savory ones are very special, and I like their sakura cream cheese puff.  Their scones are delicious and I think the texture.  Too bad they are mini ones only.  For the desserts, I tried a few and their apple tart is superb.  However, the chocolate cake and done are too sweet for me.  The overall portion is too much for us so I didn't try the mousse cup and the rasberry cake.

已急不及待要試中層的甜點,應該挑那件先呢?我倆都是朱古力迷,當然選了件長長的朱古力榛子蛋糕,香滑的朱古力外層包著榛子醬和朱古力醬,夾有一層海棉蛋糕和脆脆托底,很有層次感,每層的分佈和味道都配合得恰到好處,不是一般酒店餅房的出品所能媲美。

連續吃了兩款朱古力甜點,接下來應該要點微酸的中和一下,所以挑了紅桑子蛋糕Raspberry cubes,這酸酸甜甜、小小的一件,像是mousse cake,下塗了薄薄一層紅桑子醬,托在一片脆餅上,這組合有點格格不入;我反而欣賞那海鹽焦糖開心果朱古力杯,把焦糖混入開心果仁醬確是個叫人難忘的組合,海鹽味不突出,而另外那迷你蘋果撻和呍呢拿金箔蛋糕, 卻給比了下去...只能說是一般貨色

最後餘下黑森林火腿配麵飽條,和忌廉泡芙。前者的煙火腿還不錯,但那乾硬無味的麵飽條我只吃了一口便放棄了;忌廉泡芙雖然無什麼特別,我們卻沒有浪費,每人一個,總算把整個tea set吃罷,很是滿足。


整體來說,這兒的tea set 無論鹹點戓甜點,都屬有水準的出品,和有心思的安排,雖然未必每一件都合乎自己心意,但他們製作的認真,和侍應們親切友善的服務態度,為我做就了一個歡愉、滿足的星期天下午。

Other Info. : 餐廳為每枱窗口位免費提供望遠鏡一部,供席上客人盡情享用;這天的港島上空雖然被大霧籠罩,但黃昏時份仍清楚看見那遠在西山的日落。相信在天朗氣清的日子來到102樓這裏,鳥瞰維港兩岸景色,品嚐精緻的美點,定是一件賞心樂事。。。

we got reservation for the last seating of 4:30-6:30 pm. we saw the day view, sunset view, dusk view & night view, all in 2 hr time.

1st, the ambiance is grand & outstanding, as expected of ritz carlton style. 2nd, table for 3 is not available right in front of the tall windows. but a little set back is just fine, since we can view the rest of the place & not bewitched by the outside view only. 3rd, service is more like on demand & not pro-active. 4th, food is high quality & excellent. the desserts are delicately made & very special, not what u buy in a generic cake shop.

1. the choices of tea are not that many, which are not i would call exotic either, such as earl grey, english breakfast, or darjeeling. i ordered the darjeeling & had to change to earl grey after i tasted it to be weak & w/o aroma. but the green tea w/ ginger had a strong taste & herbal aroma. personally i think that kind of tea might not pair well w/ the food.

2. top tier of the tray has non-sweet food. there are 4 of each kind per person. since the ingredients are complex, it is not easy to tell what exactly u are tasting (other than the ham, salmon or bread). but believe me, they all have delightful tastes. each kind has its own texture, feel & flavors.

3. the middle tier has 5 sweet stuff, all looked pretty & attractive. again whether it is a tart, mousse, cake or whatnot, each has distinctive flavors & tastes. w/ advice from the server, we were able to consume from the least sweet to the more sweet kind, in order to enjoy the best.

4. the bottom tier has 2 kinds of scone & a semi-sweet "bomb". the scone is good but not great, since it had cooled down & lacked softness. the jam was fruity & aromatic, but the buttery cream tasted quite plain. the bomb was a nice finale if u eat it last, though the interior might have begun to melt.

being a "foodie" & have enjoyed high tea in 4 corners of the world, i cannot but to voice some personal dissatisfaction here. 1st, this place lacks the royal feel of having high tea in the old tradition. there is no special courteous welcome at the door. there is no tea cart to show & tell the different exotic teas available. the tea is not brewed in front of the table. 2nd, the food was brought out w/o fanfare or special attention. i have to summon the staff to request a verbal description of each item on the tray. and then he had to bring along the menu to recite from there! to be honest, high tea is not about, never been about, food & tea only! it should also offer a sense or aura of high society high culture. it is about getting the experience & the knowledge associated w/ the food & tea. well, am i really that old & pitifully nostalgic in this regard?

unfortunately in hk, even the surviving dinosaur (peninsular hotel) from the proud british days cannot deliver the royalty sensation & modern high tea/food at the same seating. where else can i hunt for it?

期待已久,終於等到主角小熊afternoo tea set出場,大家一致大呼“卡哇伊”,真的是太萌太精緻了♡^_^♡!廚師們的巧手讓三層架由下自上都散發出可愛的氣息,視野遠眺180°的無敵海景和夏日夕陽,近在眼前的又有可愛的小熊蛋糕,兩者都讓人心花怒放。

雖然不捨得吃下可愛小熊,但肚餓的大家還是迫不及待要開動啦!最底層是英式下午茶的傳統英式和提子鬆餅,入口還算鬆軟甜度適中;另外還有核桃蛋糕和小熊蝴蝶結餅乾,餅乾鬆脆不算太甜,拍照完畢馬上被我們吃光光。第二層是偶的最愛:小熊馬可龍甜度適中,外層薄而脆,口感好而不硬;cupcake上面有一層小熊朱古力;還有清甜的黃桃啫喱,如此地“味貌雙全”真的很滿意;最高層則有草莓奶油蛋糕,棉花糖和熊仔朱古力棒棒糖,誓將可愛進行到底!

今年的夏天似乎走得有些依依不捨,9月的空氣里還飄著夏日香氣。黃昏時分,夕陽西下,從102樓的高空天際眺望遠處的船隻,港島對岸的迷人景致盡收眼底,加上小熊相伴,幸福感絕對滿分!

Other Info. : Ritz Carlton102F大堂酒廊和置地文華酒店的MO Bar都不時與各時尚品牌合作推出主題下午茶,前者賣點不只是有天際無敵海景,重點是很多需要配合品牌的造型甜點也出品精緻,甜度適宜;反觀文華的主題下午茶相對甜度偏重,只能“近觀而不適合細品焉”~

兩年前曾到德過旅遊,超喜歡吃一款白腸,吃的時候是需要把腸衣撕去才可以吃。雖然在香港沒法找到這款香腸,但今次在The Lounge & Bar的Oktoberfest Menu中也有三款自家製作的香腸,味道都不錯。Traditional Munich White Sausage,served with Sweet Haendel Meier Mustard and Laguen Roll,$148,短小肥胖的白腸肉味比想像中較濃,於熱水煮熟後,再沾上特別從德國運來的芥末醬,不會太鹹,也吃到肉香。

除了香腸,德國烤豬手都不能缺少,Oven-Roasted Pork Knuckle,served with Sour Cabbage,Potatoes and Laugen Bretzel,$228。巨大的豬手皮烤得脆口,咬下聽到脆裂聲,皮下有點脂肪,但吃起來不會很油膩,加上肉質保持嫩而不乾,還有味道不過鹹,很有水準。雖然一隻份量不少,但也被我們吃清。

最後甜品是Black Forest Cake,$98,香濃而稠滑的朱古力慕絲夾著不少櫻桃粒,櫻桃經過酒浸醃,酒味十分濃烈,但質感仍然保持硬實。先吃了一粒放在蛋糕旁的櫻桃,酒香流於口中及喉嚨不散,再吃口濃郁的朱古力蛋糕,味道得以中和。

這裡因為居高臨下,所以出名是觀賞維港景色,但最近天色也不太好,經常下雨,但很早前已經訂了枱,心想這裡那麼難訂枱,既然訂了,即管照去吧,而且訂枱時他們也表示未必可以安排到window seat,就算欣賞不到景色也可享受天倫,一家人嘆下high tea吧!去到餐廳,安排坐位的男經理一直帶領我們走向一個corner 位,那裡有兩張四人枱,兩張也是window seat,心想莫非真的給我們window seat?誰知不單是窗口位,而是corner位那張,即是兩邊都是窗邊!我情不自禁地問:『真係這張?』經理說:『真的是這張,這張是全餐廳景色最靚的一張!』我輕拍了他膊頭幾下以表多謝!幸好坐下後仍可望見香港島及尖沙咀一帶的景色,食食下又被大霧濃罩著什麼也看不見,仿似在雲中享受下午茶,但到黃昏時又可見到太陽伯伯與我們say goodbye!今天的景色真令人喜出望外!講番D食物,Afternoon Tea Set 的食物款式非常豐富,每件細細件,看似份量小小,但結果是吃不完,要打包帶走呢!最高的一層有蕃茄乾忌廉芝士菠菜卷、鵝肝慕絲咖啡瑞士卷(一致通過這層最美味的一款)、酸青瓜忌廉芝士蕃茄卷,軟棉棉的蛋糕

最高的一層有蕃茄乾忌廉芝士菠菜卷、鵝肝慕絲咖啡瑞士卷(一致通過這層最美味的一款)、酸青瓜忌廉芝士蕃茄卷,軟棉棉的蛋糕,是咸點,似是怪怪的,但吃落又感覺良好;中層有香草脆餅(亦是一致通過這層最美味的一款`)、開心果紅桑子蛋糕、蕉糖咖啡慕絲、椰子朱古力脆、脆朱古力蛋糕;低層是英式鬆餅、提子鬆餅配果醬及奶油鬆餅忌廉、荔枝芒果杯。這層全部也非常美味,鬆餅真的非常鬆化,而奶油忌廉,香甜而且軟滑,而size也岩岩好,食下兩個也不會太飽!而荔枝芒果杯更是全個set是好味的,青香的荔枝味加上香甜的芒果味,味道非常匹配!總括來說,所以榚點也做得非法出色,不會太甜太膩!

茶的款式選擇非常之多,太太選了薑味香草茶,太太讚不絕口;兩個小朋友選了蘋果茶,但她們覺得似是香薰味;而我的咖啡只是合格,未算出色!如果茶壺用上一些小火來保溫會更加好一點吧!

總結這裡是值得再來,但下次可能會秋冬季來,避過雨季吧!
