To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

We just had a bad experience in this afternoon. We just had a bad experience in this afternoon. Totally different experience that i had one week ago.
How come their service can be so fluctuated.

When we were in the arrival lobby, the manager (may be) was recording how many customer could have the afternoon tea in the lounge.

However, he didn't realize the seating plan in 102/F wasn't enough for 6 people to sit together (especially today, Mother's Day - family day)
When it was 3pm, the queue was starting moved. And when it was our term (3:20pm), the hostess / waitess told us that they didn't have any table for us at this moment, could we wait? of course we wait, we have already spent 80 mins for queuing.

After 10 mins, she asked us to wait upstairs, and we thought," finally is our term."

When we were in the reception area, i looked around and found out that the house was full, and only bar table was empty. At this moment, the hostess asked us to sit at the bar table if we didn't mind. We asked how long we could have a table instead of bar table. She said she promised to give us table once available, but we were in waiting list since other groups also want to change table. And we said ok.
However, we sat in a L shape, we couldn't talk with each other since the distance was really far, it seems like we were in two groups (one group in 4 & one group in 2).

After 5 mins, one table for 4 left ( i called it A), and we asked to change for that table (we didn't mind to sit close to each other). The waiter need to confirm with the hostess. Meanwhile, the people in other table next to A left also, we thought if the other groups that waited in front of us didn't change the table, those table would be for us. Unlikely, the host gave the tables to other groups (jsut came from the arrival lobby) which my friends realized that they queued behind us in arrival lobby. So we complained the manager (the one who record the no. of people in arrival lobby) why she promised to gave us the table once available but she just didn't.

And she came to told us that she could arrange us to have 2 tables which can each sit for 3 people. For us, there was nothing change to sit like this way. If sitting like this, i just dated 2 friends is ok, why i dated 5 friends. We refused her offer, and she went back to somewhere and gave a call to other restaurant, and she brought us to a table in Tosca which can sit for 6 people. And everything was settled. (but the mood was already be affected)

During 2 hours tea time, the waiter / manager only came to serve us for 3 times and our teapots were always out of tea.

We found some issues for this lounge
1. Seating planning is not flexible - too many fixed fitting: a large bar table, two large oversize lights.
2. No communication between arrival lobby and lounge reception - arrival lobby only calculate for total people, but not share the distribution of groups to the lounge, the lounge cannot arrange the table on time).
3. Not enough seat / area for large group of people - maximum only 4 tables / areas.
4. First come first serve is not really applied.
5. If there is no complain, they assume that you are fine even they promise you something.
See if they can solve / minimize issue or not.

The price is a bit crazy
last week $198 for 1 tea set for 1 people
today become $268 for 1 tea set for 1 people
we don't know it is because of Mother's Day or the price is already uprise to this standard in normal day. But just a week.........35% more.

My wife and I went there on a Saturday afternoon at around 1pm. The moment we got there, we saw two lines in the lobby, and people were busy asking the staff which line is for which. Then we saw people switching lines a few times as they got confusing information from different staff. We finally figured out that one line is for The Lounge & Bar afternoon tea, and the other for the Chocolate Library afternoon tea. We were told that the registration would begin at 2pm and people had to stay in the line standing there waiting till then. The common understanding was that people can leave the line when they make registration and come back at 3pm when the afternoon tea begins. The reality was that you had to stay in the line even after you made the registration, which means you need to stand there for almost 2 hours to be admitted to the restaurant!
Worth it or not, you can tell! If you are going for the view, trust me this is not the only place you can get great view. If you are going for great food or good service, you'll definitely get the opposite! So why spend the money and time???

今日係復活節假期最後一日同媽咪去圓方買完嘢, 稔住去starbucks, 點知冇位媽咪就提議去新開嘅ritz carlton食tea, 雖然我哋之前啱啱食完肥到爆嘅Dan Ryan我未去已經感覺到會冇位, 去到果然chocolate library冇位, 但pastry gems同the lounge and bar竟然有都幾多位service: 去到就有人問去邊, 係lift口仲有好多人係到幫你check樓上嘅restaurants有冇位, 有人帶上去, 仲陪你玀位 餐廳嘅服務都好好 lift口其實就係pastry gems. pastry gems 係就咁擺咗幾張枱櫈同一個蛋糕櫃. 蛋糕櫃同美麗華嘅coco有同一個問題,就係玻璃櫃起霧, 蛋糕睇得唔清楚, 由於pastry gems嘅擺設大失我嘅期望, 所以揀咗去the lounge and barthe lounge and bar 去到已經通知我哋tea set賣晒...咁我哋就決定散叫cakethe lounge and bar嘅設計同好多新派嘅酒店好相似, 好似美麗華, W嗰啲

lift口其實就係pastry gems. pastry gems 係就咁擺咗幾張枱櫈同一個蛋糕櫃. 蛋糕櫃同美麗華嘅coco有同一個問題,
就係玻璃櫃起霧, 蛋糕睇得唔清楚, 由於pastry gems嘅擺設大失我嘅期望, 所以揀咗去the lounge and bar

the lounge and bar 去到已經通知我哋tea set賣晒...咁我哋就決定散叫cake
the lounge and bar嘅設計同好多新派嘅酒店好相似, 好似美麗華, W嗰啲咁, 我個人都係鍾意以前嘅ritz carlton多啲,
依家好似冇咗個份貴氣

係圓方到去ritz carlton都幾崎嶇, design唔好

友人們很久前已經有去 high tea 的念頭, 大家也未試過, 又沒有 idea 往那裡吃, 久久也不成事最近得知在ICC有一間有提供 afternoon tea set 的地方, 麗斯卡爾頓酒店 ( 連名字也不用麗嘉酒店, 轉用大陸譯音了, 唉.....)人生第一次 high tea, 當然要選擇在最HIGH的地方來嘗試, 這間當然是不二之選在此看過其他食家的食評, 雖然3點才有 afternoon tea set, 但又不設預訂服務, 一定要 walk in, 所以與友人一早來到否則不知要等多很長時間才有位給我們, 其實也真的很擔心香港的排隊等位風氣會越來越誇張我們2:15分左右到達酒店大堂, 已見一條長龍, 心想, 不是那麼嚴重吧~!?再問問職員, 這條龍就是排隊上去 The Lounge & Bar 享用afternoon tea的, 見到如此多人, 就問問 The Chocolate Library 的又是否在這裡排原來他們已經分了兩條隊, The Chocolate Library 的只有2 group 人在排隊, 但友人不太好chocolate, 所以我們還是選擇了 T

大約到了2:35分左右, 已見不許再排隊了, 現在才到的人通通也要留電話 (好似), 也就是說他們只可等第二輪了

到大約3點, 終於放人上去了,
可惜的是, 我們坐的是近 reception 的 table, 坐不了窗邊位, 挑望不到遠處景色
但我們已急不及待帶起相機影周圍的裝修擺設

我們雖是4人, 但只order了1個 for 2 + 1 個 for 1 的 high tea set + 一個額外的飲品

食物來到, 有3層
盛載食物的銀盤非常新淨, 可當鏡子用一樣, 令視覺上已有很多食物的錯覺
而食物豐富的色彩 (紅的 strawberry + raspberry, 橙黃的 apricot, 藍黑的 blueberry + blackberry, 淡白的 cheese), 更令手上的相機快門聲不斷

Camembert 味較濃加上而一片的apricot又有一絲絲甜味, love it so much

Berries Almond Tart, Cherry Macaron, Blueberry Cheese Cake, Parline Nougat Choux, Apricot Pizza
Berries Almond Tart 的 tart內藏有吉士, 而一層薄朱古力將吉士及berries分問, 吉士及朱古力的甜與berries的酸可以互相制衡, 但吃不到tart有 almond味, 但其實整個highlight是在一粒berries軟糖上, 好味得很
cherry macaron 我覺得好差,我咬下`一半看看裡面有些甚麼filling, 但一咬之下, 整個碎掉, 太過"脆"了, 加上吃不到cherry味,只有almond味 (奇怪喇, almond tart無almond味, 但cherry macaron 無cherry味, 得almond味?, 唔通係我味覺有錯誤?)
parline nougat choux 是泡芙的口感, 但有一層微脆的表層, 而內裡是almond cream很少, 但味很濃, 吃時還以為是花生味, 回到家看photos先知係杏仁
Apricot Pizza 好好味, 尤其那粒apricot的jelly狀物體, 不知道要將多少apricot才能製出這麼濃縮的味道, 加上入口即溶, 配上chocolate jivara chocolate moose, 簡直是一流
因為沒有吃過blueberry cheese cake, 所以不能作評論

而底層的是Scones, Canneies, Berry Cup
Berry Cup 味道很濃, 杯上的竹簽插上一粒 strawberry 同一粒 jelly, 以為是 almond tart 上的軟糖, 但一入口真想即吐出, 但吐不出來, 因為一入口已即溶, 快速後流入喉嚨中,那股濃烈的藥水味很搶喉. 中間部分的 panna cotta 相對 berries sauce 來說實在太少, 而sauce也很甜, 只看外觀, 此杯真的是滿分的, 但入口就.......)
Scones 做得很好, 面層有少脆面內裡很濕潤, 但又不過份, 配上其 clotted cream 吃簡直一流, 而助食的還有 strawberry jam, 看似不是通街買到的貨, 因為味道偏淡, 不太甜, 而有 strawberry 應該有的味道
因為沒有吃過Canneies所以不能作評論

在座位擺設上, 感覺有點雜亂無章, 而 table 與 table 之間的距離也不算多, 就算樓底有多高, 也其實算是幾嘈的
不過也能夠聽到現場演奏的悠閒音樂, 本來以為會以西方 jazz 為主, 但也有演奏本港的流行曲

在場內的服務真是一流了, 看得出何為以客為先,
第一, 仔們放了很多人在 serve 客人上, 不用一人 serve 很太多 table 而令 service level 降低
第二, 他們並沒有催促落 order
第三, 他們很有耐性的解答客人問題 (我們是問題組)
第四, 多次主動為客人沖茶以及refill 茶壺內的水及茶葉
第五, 經理主動問客人意見, 以看能否改善服務

而在場外, 即lobby那裡, 應該要想想方法了, 因為如此多人在大堂等候, 作為一個住在那裡的客人來說, 這像是一間luxury hotel嗎? 也許hotel 低估人潮了

向高處爬時又會否高處不勝寒?

Hainanese chicken rice, chill, dark soy sauce, ginger and chicken broth 海南雞飯 $205: 7分, 賣相精緻, 用上透明盤去為各個項目預備好指定位置. 先試飯, 幾香, 夠乾身, 不會太油, 是令人滿意的. 至於雞方面, 肉質嫩滑, 不過三色醬不太對辦, 尤其是黑豉油不夠香, 也偏稀. 雞肉點上黑豉油, 也只是淡淡的, 還是專心吃飯好一點. 個湯就幾清湯. 這個海南雞飯, 賣到$205, 當然不便宜, 但也不算太高水準.

Sour cream cheese cake and blueberry compote 酸忌廉芝士蛋糕 $110: 9分, 聰明的把芝士蛋糕同埋藍莓分開, 可以先吃一口純芝士蛋糕, 再吃一口藍莓芝士蛋糕. 這裡的芝士蛋糕質感不是實淨的那一種, 而是偏淋, 芝士香適中, 不會過濃, 跟酸忌廉配合在一起, 幾特別, 再加上旁邊的藍莓, 層次豐富.

It's a monday afternoon, me and my friend finish work at 3 and plan to try the high tea at this tall building

We arrive the hotel lobby at 4pm and the staff said need to wait as the first log of people just fill up the restaurant. she suggest us to go to try the chocolate library, (but their high tea set sold out and just got the a la cart) as we want to try the traditional high tea and my friend got allergy for chocolate, we told the staff that we wait for "the lounge and bar high tea'... so she mark down our details including what we look,
the staff said don't know how long we need to wait, so we in addition gave her my mobile number, so that we can walk around instead of just waiting at the hotel lobby.

after nearly 30 mins, we back and we found out that the staff.. as she already drop down what the people look like,, she can go to the party who are waiting and invite them to take the lift for enter the restaurant,, but she still didn't call us to go yet,, then after a while, I went to the staff and ask how long we still need to wait,, she said don't know and i figure out that the paper she use to drop down the waiting people with a big cross on it..

at 4:50 pm. we finally can go upstair for our waiting high tea...

but what we have is everlasting waiting and anger...

when we go to the lounge and bar,, the staff told us that the high tea are ALL SOLD OUT!!

we need to order a la cart!
i was very angry, as we have wait for nearly an hour,, and the staff downstair already know that we are here for high tea..
if they don'y have one left, why they ask us to go in??? or they can just make sure that the people at downstair waiting will have the high tea set for them when they have the seat!

as reading their a la cart menu, we found it is really so so.. nothing special.. we just want to know whether they can still do anything for us..

they said they can make one tea set for us.. but need to WAIT FOT ONE HOUR!


but we come here to try the high tea, and we thing we will not have another chance have early off duty next time together, so we wait....

at the same time, i figure out that their restaurant is not full with many table no people.. which i guess, the staff downstair forgot to call us to come up....


during the time we waiting, one of the staff ( I call her staff A) said she can free us a drink.. then we look for the menu to see anything good to try.

but when we order,, another staff (I call her staff B) come and I want to confirm whether the drinks are free or not and she said,
"you can order the tea for your high tea set first'
obviously, this restaurant,, no should be this hotel.. NO COORDINATION AMOUNG THE STAFF!!!!!

so we need to find staff A again for the free drink..

although the scenery is good. but the service already ruin our mood.. as the high tea said came .. it is already 6PM!!!!
the staff B is correct,, she said the long waiting high tea is coming finally,, it will be your dinner!!


what a bad staff again...

we also cannot enjoy the high tea,, as my friend need to go for lesson at 7pm at mei foo.. and soon I will have dinner with my husband!!
which finally at that night I cannot eat anything as already too full!!!!!


it is a bad service hotel.....

以下是我兩的對話內容

我: 請問貴酒店 哪一間餐廳有午餐提供?

她: 意大利餐廳 Tosca 和 中餐廳 田龍軒均接受預約

咖啡廳則是先到先得

我: 那我想訂星期六 中午 四位

她: 好的....

我: 請問有免費泊車嗎?

她: 有, 每一檯消費滿五百元可獲兩小時免費泊車

我: 但我們有兩部車.... 消費一千就可以嗎?

她: 不可 每一張檯 無論消費多少 只有一部車可獲優惠

我: 那我分單可以嗎?

她: 不可.... 除非你們分開坐

接線生態度強硬 我沒有跟她糾纏

她: 小姐, 意大利餐廳 Tosca已經全滿 但可把你放在後備名單

我: 那好 請問我是第幾個後備

她: 第十一

我: ❋❋❋ 那我改去中餐廳吧

她: 中餐廳也是後備 情況更差 排在第十八

(那一刻 我以為自己是到了食物銀行)

我: 算了吧 麻煩妳

然後掛了線 告訴友人倒不如往其他不用做後備的餐館

友人堅持 寧願到麗嘉的咖啡廳碰碰運氣

唯有早起 中午十二時正 就將車泊在圓方商場 步行到國際貿易中心

當時不用排隊 更獲安置在落地玻璃旁的四人檯

可以俯瞰整個香港島 大廈 巴士 西隧都變得細少

人卻有點高處不勝寒

自從聽到"ritz carlton"一詞後便很想到該酒店用餐. 自助餐應該冇,但high tea一定有.high tea不設預訂,只可walk in,但在平日食客不太多的日子,只可在大堂等候至3時左右才上樓high tea.high tea 1人餐$198再加一,包一杯茶/啡. 要一杯香檳加$150.待應allocate個window seat俾我,望住海境high tea的感覺很愉快.全set最好味的是bluberry cheese cake(中間層中間的一件) 同canneles (下層最入的一件).唯一稍遜的地方係佢的法式軟芝士黃梅合桃包(上層最入面的一件)好難食,及提供的黃梅醬很酸.咖啡(壺內)雖少,只得兩杯左右,但很香很濃.埋單$218,算抵食.
