First visit to this place upon being recommended by someone. Entire experience was very distasteful, right from the time we arrived. Although we had booked a table for 3, upon arrival we were asked to sit on a two seater table. Although we had booked a table for 3, upon arrival we were asked to sit on a two seater table. When we asked for a better table we were made to wait endlessly. when finally we got tired of waiting and checked with the manager, she had the face to say that since we refused the table we were shown earlier there was nothing she could do. When we argued, we were finally sat on a larger table, but service was pathetic. Our order were taken deliberately late. Finally when the order arrived it was all mixed up. The waiters even had the audacity to leave the plates on our table without even looking at us or caring to explain what dish was being serviced. Finally we had enough and left after paying and feeling completely cheated when handed a $1000 bill. Food quality apart from the dim sums was ok, but nothing what a michelin star restaurant should be serving. And with this quality of service the price tag seems like robbery. I don't think I am going back in there again.


We ordered 6 dishes including 3 types of dimsums which were pretty good. The tofu dish we ordered was mixed up and something else was delivered which was too spicy and the chilli was very overpowering. The chicken dish was similar. The vegetarian fried rice came last when all the other dishes were finished and was served cold so we could not finish it. Overall, for the price charged the quality was not quite up to the mark. But the dimsums were very good. That's the only highlight of the evening.

今日我同hubby要試的是這間米芝蓮一星的四川餐廳。裝修簡㓗西化,有空間感.薑牛:牛肉條脆脆質感,十分香口,雖然點的是微辣,辣中帶香,入口唔辣,但食落去之後,辣味慢慢滲出來,接著有點麻,而微辣中有強烈的麻勁。好味!但好辣!海鮮窩粑:海鮮湯羹有點魚塊同蝦,味道淡淡的,少少咸味,質地少少稀;而窩粑十分脆口,很鬆化,唔油膩。整體食味不錯,服務一流,推介。

作為一個四川人,川菜必然是我的摯愛。為了慶祝在四川媽媽的生日,我和老公選擇了希望有媽媽味道的這間川菜館。前菜:無骨口水雞。雞肉很滑,麻辣程度剛好,所有人應該都能接受,份量兩個人很夠,值得推薦。主菜:1.宮爆蝦,夠麻辣,可惜作為一道兩百的菜,只有四隻蝦而感到可惜,非常不划算;2.回鍋肉,跟宮爆蝦的味道和擺盤都很相似,雖然用的是包菜跟五花肉,還是可以選擇性的試試,通常在四川我們會用蒜苗炒回鍋肉;3.薑牛,口感很不錯,脆脆的,甜甜的,伴著點點生薑的香味,跟麻辣是很好的對比,不過作為超喜歡吃甜食的老公來說,都覺得有點太甜;4.小份水煮魚,這小份可真小份,我們總共就吃了七片魚肉,同樣也是兩百,鍋底的粉絲倒是我一人吃了三碗,辣到讓我很滿足,如果老闆可以大方點,多點魚肉就更正了;5.蔬菜鍋巴,很清淡,但味道超鮮,太多麻辣,來點清淡的也是極好的。我們早到了十五分鐘,是第一桌客人,點了兩杯雞尾酒old fashion 和red dragon, 老公的old fashion很快,我的等了十分鐘。點菜的美眉根本不熟悉菜單,要一個個在菜單上指著跟她說是什麼。喜歡吃川菜的朋友可以去試試,但不要對好服務有太高期望

喜歡吃川菜的朋友可以去試試,但不要對好服務有太高期望,希望他們以後對服務生有跟好的培訓。

環境同服務就ok嘅,但食物就好失望!大部分嘅食物未至於難食但... 唔好食lor! 同埋偏咸。最差係個所謂辣子雞!唔地道不特止得個咸字,係好好好咸,一上枱嗰下已經呆左,似係蒜頭蔥粒爆雞塊我只可以講嘅係。。我唔會再黎!

繼續帶子洪郎的生活, 這天的午餐就來到呇. 由於在家餵小晴晴吃午餐超時了, 來到的時候, 店子已經差不多關門, 還好讓我匆匆落單, 不用再四處走.這裡雖然是吃川菜, 但目標客人應該是外藉人士. 還有室外的地方, 在那邊喝一杯, 吹吹風, 應該很適合他們的. 午市來到, 就來客二道菜午餐.粟米湯: 7分, 湯選來粟米湯, 熱得燙口, 待我吃完主菜時再喝, 仍然是熱辣辣的. 粟米味道不夠濃郁, 而且個湯是偏杰身的.薑牛 $160: 8分, 至於店方的名物薑牛, 質感香脆, 帶點薑的辛辣味, 相當惹味, 亦很好送飯. 當吃到一半的時候, 那份麻而辣的感覺慢慢湧至, 舌頭越見麻痺, 最後真的不能忍受, 剩下了不少薑牛吃不下去.始終吃辣, 還是不能勉強. 呇的薑牛, 除了薑的辛辣味, 還有又麻又辣的感覺, 是惹味的, 但還是留給愛吃辣的朋友挑戰吧. 吃完辣, 又是時候帶小晴晴去玩樂了.

酸辣湯辣度輕微,有點酸味。用料略嫌單調,連基本的竹筍和黑木耳都寥寥無幾,當然不能奢望有豬紅。

The spicy pork dumplings  were again not spicy enough for me and my colleagues. Fortunately, the fillings were fresh and the pork had good umami.

The Ma La Chicken had a lovely flaming icon next to it on the menu. But don't be intimidated by it. It practically had no feeling of "ma" (tingling feeling that the Japanese pepper gives) and the chili taste was barely detectable. To be fair, the chicken chunks (probably chicken breasts) were very tender and succulent. Certainly requires great skill to handle these chicken breasts well. I would say that this was the highlight of the lunch. 

麻辣雞件基乎完全不麻,只有點點辣,但幸好肉質非常嫩滑,份量亦充足,替這店挽回了不小分數,絕對是這餐的亮點。

The Ma Po Tofu was again, not Ma and not spicy. Just the taste of tou ban chang (fermented soy bean). The tofu was very smooth though.  

麻婆豆腐的辣度同樣是小兒科。嚐到的主要是豆瓣醬的鹹味。但豆腐是軟滑的。

My colleagues seem to like the beef a lot but unfortunately I could not comment on it as I do not eat beef.

同事對牛肉則讚不絕口。賣相不錯但我不吃牛所以不能評論。



Conclusion:

The bill came down to about $160 per person. I find the level of spiciness disappointing. However, the ingredients were really fresh. I suggest that they offer different levels of spiciness for different customers.

埋單每人約HK$160在這舒適的地點進餐算合理。提議讓客人調較辣度。

今天至愛的至愛生日,想吃一點辣但至愛郤不嗜辣。最後特意選了有點Fusion 的呇。辣的程度教人容易接受而不辣的也十分出色。其實今次是第三次到訪,環境裝修都好是不容置疑的。早訂座的可要求窗邊梳化位置,開揚且舒服。這次三人行點了六道菜辣辣的水煮魚-少少辣,味道當然不及正宗川菜館惹味但配合環境下是不錯的。魚厚身份量不多是正常吧。幸有水晶粉打,煮得剛好。姜牛-必點菜色,牛柳很軟又入味。不要以為他是普通的辣姜味,非也 - 姜和辣調得特色出色。非辣的醉雞-一般貨色,給不嗜辣的至愛填肚子生菜包-又一填肚推介,不是泰式那種,有點甜的,味道挺吸引。鐵板茄子-有少許油,知道這是正常的。如果可以辣便好了。炸流沙奶黃包-又一必點菜色,不要把它當成甜品(雖然實際上是甜),但不要飽肚之後才吃,這會錯過精彩。怏樂的一餐,食物環境都好,只是服務生不太歡容。

難得的有質素四川菜!星期日和男友去午膳,怎料原來星期日無set lunch,唯有散叫,價錢偏貴,點了口水雞,紅油抄手,招牌ginger beef,豆酥魚。四碟菜都好出色,口水雞鋪滿蒜蓉,醬油偏酸又夠辣,最欣賞雞幾乎去骨,嫩滑且有雞味!紅油抄手皮做得好薄,雲吞肉餡入味,紅油夠香辣水準之作。主菜好香口,魚肉滑溜多汁!意想不到的辣度,越吃越過癮。最驚喜係ginger beef,看menu見到有用黑糖,以為只是略作調味,點知整碟菜色是甜味為主,帶有薑味,牛肉經炸過口感似牛肉乾,有點黏牙甜滋滋,十分討好!整體菜式很有誠意,值得再來!

Went there for business lunch of 4, set lunch between 118- 168 including a starter, main & rice, no drinking including.we order south wonton as starter then spicy chicken, ginger beef, sweet & spicy fish & twice cook pork as our main, we actually share to eat so you can tatse all different meal! Overall we enjoy very much of the lunch, it's nice decoration, and good services, however during this hot summer sit beside the window area couldn't be warm.Will sure go back again try their dinner!

除了愛甜,筆者亦有一班愛辣的朋友,定期會搞些辣局,以川菜為主,讓大家止下心癮。是次飯局選址灣仔的「呇」,一個無乜人識讀的名字,大家也本著一試無妨的心態,食番餐。踏出Lift,目睹四周的環境,以及客人,大概可知這是做鬼佬川菜的地方。但既來之則安之,或許這裡做新派川菜會很出色呢! 大大碗的水煮魚送上,無錯,是很大隻碗,但魚肉成份不多。加之,水煮魚誘人的地方,是香噴噴的氣味。這裡的出品,辣是辣,但不香,有形無神。不過,墊在底下的菜蔬和薯粉,仍是大眾的喜好。

最後,我們有干煸四季豆。吃至此時,已不再抱有任何期望,反而這出品雖煸得不夠乾身惹味,卻已是最正常的了。

約定了,下一局,雲陽!

Think more ‘Kung Pao Chicken’ (which ironically IS on the menu)…however there are definitely some standouts in this place! The menu covers a lot. There’s ‘Mala’, ‘Spicy’, Vegetarian, and Signature choices to choose from. Beware..SPICY Stuff. I’ve never downed soooo much water in one sitting. One great thing- the staff constantly comes to check up to see if you need water!

Braised Beef in Chili Oil Soup |$190 | MALA | This dish was ridiculously BIG. It was huge. But of course a lot of it is just presentation. The chili oil soup took up a lot of space. The beef itself wasn’t the majority of the dish. It was loaded with winter melon, squash, mushrooms, bean sprouts, basil, garlic, chili peppers, along with thick bean curd mung noodles. We hardly had much of it. It was just tooooo spicy and hot. It burns your mouth like crazy. Also, we had to wash it down in hot water because it was just too spicy for us! Hopefully for the spicy adventurous types, you might enjoy this! Oh, and I also got FREE ice cream!! <3 ;) Perfect ending to such a HOT meal.

今晚餐廳充滿外國人裝修設計絕對是他們喜歡的類型枱上的小食美味不過辣得一邊吃一邊要喝很多水幸好熱水及涷水都有提供未齊人先點炸饅頭很奇怪饅頭的面不是脆的但又熱辣辣會否是翻叮呢?不討好鍋貼正正常常辣子雞就奇怪了用上雞胸肉雞胸索不到辣椒的香味而且經油炸後很鞋我們想到是要遷就外國人的口味因為外國人不愛吃骨那就失去辣子雞應有的風味乾煸苦瓜很香很辣很苦酸辣粉辣得噴火粉條出奇的煙韌辣得最後要添加兩個不辣的餸清炒時蔬及肉絲炒麵才可讓舌頭冷靜下來整體食物價錢偏貴

I've been to Qi on one other occassion and came back because the ginger beef was so good the first time. This time around, it did not disappoint - the crispy sugar coated pieces of tender meat covered in sichuan flavour is so delicious, it's very tempting to order another serving. Other dishes we ordered included the sizzling chicken and the double cooked pork, which unfortunately were very ordinary and both lacked any depth of flavour. The bang bang wantons are nice but nothing special. Pan-fried dumplings are pretty good - juicy filling and crispy pastry.

Be warned about the extra $30 charge for the 'appetisers' they bring to your table once you are seated - three little bowls of pickled vegetables. I think it's quite unfair for the restuarant to charge for these, considering they don't even ask if you want them and don't inform you that there is a charge for them. I've heard about this happening at other Sichuan resturants, so I was a bit wary. We had a little taste but didn't find them anything special.

Drinks are also extremely overpriced - $45 for a glass of soft drink
but I guess you are paying for the nice ambience, modern furnishings and fancy crockery. Service was good and efficient, but at then end of the day, I would only come back for another taste of the ginger beef.
