已經很久沒有和朋友來個casual dinner,今夜公關朋友在禮頓道agnès b. le pain grillé,舊址新店,可以重回這地段真好,一來是沒以往在cubus 的拘謹,二來走All Day Menu會比較有彈性和多元化,所以這個晚上大家開懷大笑大吃,最愛這氣氛,我們整整KO了三碗薯條,太好吃了! 而且最後也不錯過agnes b一向拿手的甜餅,無論價錢與質素都比那藝術般的蘿柚好Salad of fresh fig and parma ham [$88] - 簡單的配搭,只要有新鮮的無花果點綴,整道沙律的味道即時提升,鹹鮮的Parma Ham,再吃一口沾滿醬汁的沙律菜,最後吃甜甜無花果,鹹味全消~~終於不用再排大隊在La Creperie吃galette了,這裡的也相當有質素,第一次吃就選了最classic的ham and cheese and egg [$78],出來的成品賣相不錯,餅皮薄脆,切開與蛋汁同吃,是一頓Lite Meal的伙伴,以後會常來吃了~!Mussels in white wine and cream, served with fries [$188] -

Salad of fresh fig and parma ham [$88] - 簡單的配搭,只要有新鮮的無花果點綴,整道沙律的味道即時提升,鹹鮮的Parma Ham,再吃一口沾滿醬汁的沙律菜,最後吃甜甜無花果,鹹味全消~~終於不用再排大隊在La Creperie吃galette了,這裡的也相當有質素,第一次吃就選了最classic的ham and cheese and egg [$78],出來的成品賣相不錯,餅皮薄脆,切開與蛋汁同吃,是一頓Lite Meal的伙伴,以後會常來吃了~!

Mussels in white wine and cream, served with fries [$188] - 不得了不得了,當季的藍青口細隻但肥美, 三兩下就吃完,而且薯條是超級好吃,雖然是幼身的,但連皮且超脆,無論沾茄汁又或者白酒忌廉汁都很配合,如果鹽少dd會更完美;這個mussels我們四人也可以encore多一份,抱歉我超大食 =P

Croque with roasted beef and cheese [$98] - 邪惡的Croque,數年前吃過一次後就深深上癮,因為內內外外都是芝士,焗得超脆,多數會選吃芝士火腿,但既然Galette要了ham,這個就選燒牛肉,同樣精彩~~四個女生,現在才開始吃主菜,這個紙包鱈魚 [$188] 我是滿有期待的,最後沒有失望,魚肉嫩滑,在紙包內可以盡吸收普羅旺斯燉雜菜的味道,紙包得來也很工整,不會呈上一團糟的樣子,所以特別欣賞這個~~~Rib-eye steak burger [$168] - Crazy~這個又有薯條,結果飽撐也按捺不住,又清碟了,而五成熟的肉眼在火侯方面控制得很不錯,加上滿是芝麻的麵包,又香口又豐富,還有牛油果作餡料,好健康的食材~~最後一道主菜是油封鴨扁意粉 [$148] - 油而不膩,也不過鹹,別問我們為何吃到那麼多,總之就是清碟了,凡有蒜片的意粉都是我的大愛

新店的氣氛有點像Gough Street那間,帶點cafe氣氛但又有主餐吃,同時也有三文治、包餅外帶,這裡的地板是一如以往地美觀,雖然每格不同卻沒有紊亂感覺~~五件餅,四件是新出的,第五件就是我的堅持,每次也要吃拿破崙,Amelie像極Rainbow cake,即使有white chocolate cream又不覺甜膩,因為中層有apricot jam,而海綿蛋糕也有Raspberry, chocolate和開心果三款,所以口感層次都很多,但就層於比較乾身的蛋糕 [現時大部份人好像都較愛吃mousse cake]

Valerie 是舊瓶新樽的做法,外觀和用料都同以往有異,很多時會滯的mont blanc,這件沒有這問題,三兩啖就可以完成~~Carla 是芒果與雲呢拿的mousse cake,夏天當造的芒果,不再酸酸,推介清新的一試;而Veanne 雖然外表比較平凡,像普通的雜果蛋糕,不過蛋糕夠細密,生果整齊款式多,也是優勝之處
回歸舊址的agnes b,沒有以往的神秘,晚上反而多了份壯麗感覺

Prelude:I used to know Agnes b only as a French fashion designer.A few years ago, they started to serve coffee and light snacks in their boutiques.Then came the brasseries, le pain grille in CWB, and later in IFC.The IFC has been a hit in town. Prelude:

I used to know Agnes b only as a French fashion designer.

A few years ago, they started to serve coffee and light snacks in their boutiques.

Then came the brasseries, le pain grille in CWB, and later in IFC.

The IFC has been a hit in town. Never tried it. Pricey, don't think it's value for money.


Was passing by the CWB brasserie the other day and noticed that set lunch was offered at $198.

Price was affordable for lunch. So the date with Agnes was set.

It was a Saturday.

Our reservation was for 12:30 pm. There were only a few customers in the place. Half-height glass lined the two sides of the place overlooking Leighton St. The setting was cosy and casual.

We were led to a table by the window. The hostess then brought us the a la carte menu and also explained to us the set lunch menu on a chalkboard. Friendly and casual service

The food was elegantly garnished and tasty.

There was nothing special about the soup but the deep fried cheese filled mushroom was very rich and delicious.

The veal was tender, but the portion (4 slices) was a bit small. The lemon and butter sauce was very refreshing.

The steak was grilled to medium well, charred to a crispy crust outside and tender inside. It was a bit thin though and so not as juicy as I would have liked.

So far so good, and I would pay the $198 for just the above.

The desserts were really great, the sponge cake was moist, and the raspberry filling added wonderfully to the chocolate background.

We spent another couple of hours chatting, desserting and sipping our coffee.

A memorable date with Agnes.

Tres bien. Will come back for an encore.

I was there with two friends yesterday, Jan 22 for afternoon tea. I ordered tea with lemon. Lemon slices were found to be quite dried up. I told the waiter. He replied "our lemons are organic lemons". I asked to change because they really looked unfresh. Waiter said OK. However, he never returned and didn't even come closer to our table.What has "organic" got to do with this? What kind of service is this?

不知所謂的餐廳明明已經打電話book 左24/12/2010既檯, 於電話中已經問得好清楚有沒有booking no., 職員說沒有, 只需要於8:30前還檯便可因當日分2個時段, 一個係6:00pm-8:30pm, 一個係8:30pm 開始, 而該職員亦沒有告知其他事項, (因我地係早一日即23/12/2010打去book的, 而果個聽電話既職員講得好清楚係頭輪時間, 仲問近門位置既介唔介意, 同埋要8:30前還檯, 所以我地一心諗住係無問題, 因今日打去book 第二日既檯, 時間上咁短, 應該唔會有問題),所以我地book 左7:00pm我地6:45pm去到, 搵左好耐都搵唔到我地既booking, 果到既職員問我地有沒有booking no 或e-mail confirmation, 我話無, 之後再問左好多次, 再之後又話一般係要full payment, 我地話無, 再講一次book 檯既過程比佢聽但果到既職員就話我地book 左錯左第二間, 再之後一陣又認話有同事收到我地既電話, 但話我地誤會左, 佢係話第二輪8:30仲有一張檯係waiting list, 總之攪左一輪都

不知所謂的餐廳

第二, 我企左十五分鐘等佢搵, 佢只無不停問有沒有booking no 或e-mail confirmation, 已經答再沒有, 佢仲問左好多次, 而周圍既客都望住我地, 好似我地白撞一樣,
第三, 一時又話我地打錯電話book, 一時又話同事接過我地電話, 話誤會左, 完全係講大話加推卸責任
第四, 完全沒有意圖去解決問題, 問佢地野只係唔講野,同埋最終只係想我地走
一心平安夜book 左檯想好好地食飯, 點知攪成咁, 仲要唔知去邊到食, 果日到到都咁full,

總之對呢間餐廳, 呢個品牌極之失望, 只可以用不知所謂嚟形容

又到同人慶生的時間,由於有人唔得閒食晚飯,咁就同佢tea一tea啦。朋友想食呢間野好耐啦,我地叫左一個tea set同一個puff。個tea set都幾豐富,有4鹹4甜點。甜點首先有朱古力mousse,好香又唔甜,有少少似雪糕;跟住有個cake係baileys味既,超好味,但如果dbaileys再勁d會更好味;一個朱古力mousse蛋糕都ok,另外有個vanilla puff都好食。鹹點方面有兩個係ham pastry,一個三文魚,一個係好似鵪鶉蛋,都唔錯的。至於另叫的puff裡面有自製的vanilla雪糕,好好味呀!絕對唔係買個d咁味。茶方面叫左一個vanilla味既紅茶,但唔夠vanilla味,仲有一個marco polo茶同一杯latte,個杯都幾靚。呢度既裝修好似法國咁,但法國一定冇呢度咁多人同咁嘈,除左paris間amelie cafe之外。佢連個廁所都係寫法文既,不過好彩有公仔解釋!總之呢一餐大家都食得好滿意!

Tonight, I celebrate my love for you ,不知不覺的渡過了一年甜蜜的婚姻生活,這夜老公帶了我來到我最喜愛的品牌餐廳Agnes'b慶祝我們的週年結婚紀念這個牌子的手袋在日本買了不少,餐廳還是第一次的.看著每樣餐具也印上了品牌在上面,忍不住瘋狂的拍照餐廳是帶一點古舊欧陸的味道,以白色以及深色木作為主調,枱上放著小小的一棵跳舞兰,伴著那幾條甘旬青瓜很配合店員都是很有禮貌的年輕人,光潔的外表和温文的談吐,由於我們也不是很有頭緒去點菜,於是便隨意的點了是日的晚餐店員也很細心的為我們解釋每道菜是什麼首先是頭盤Salmon Balik French caviar & champagne jelly煙三文魚味鮮甜,而最好吃的是那塊透明的啫喱酸酸甜甜的好開胃呢個小餐包像紫蕃薯一樣的大小,外皮脆而心軟,還很有內餡,有好多提子同果仁粒粒,店員為我們一再為我哋供應,可惜唔可以買走做早餐OysterKilpatrick 煙火腿海鹽焗蠔,無知的我未有問清楚以為那些海鹽是伴菜放了一匙在口,苦得叫救命,蠔身都好大隻滑滑的帶點海水味好RICH,Black truffle taglio

要特別讚揚這裡的員工,真的很好像叫餐飲這個環節上,
DRINK LIST上有過十款以上的不同茶飲,
他們竟然可以細心逐一介紹給我們解釋
讓我們對每種茶也可略知一二,真是難得
多謝老公的細心安排這一晚真是很難忘

Croque Madame gratine~!因為見隔離枱有人叫來食,好香太吸引之下我地都叫了,不過見人地叫的係有太陽蛋既,我地的係冇太陽蛋,喱個三文治好好味呀,個包好似多士咁,個面脆,內面軟,同包入面夾雜左芝士and蛋碎,加上又熱熱地之下食落好香又有芝士味,個火腿算幾厚,少少咸得來又好味,太正了~!
綜合來講喱間我比好高分呀,因為環境,食物同服務都好好好,環境好華麗又靚,感覺又好優閑寫意,好自在又好relax,食物我推介個三文治,喱個真係好好味呀,驚喜喱~!反而cake比較上普通左少少,雖然都係佢既特色(每件都有塊朱古力招牌),而服務太態度真係好好好!!!d侍應比人既感覺好親切,又細心介紹d食物既特色(雖然細聲左少少),優質既服務呀~!

我隨口說:{不如去Agnes b?}

她:{好呀,講咁耐都未有機會去,就呢間啦.}

記得四年前初開業時,訂位方面頗為緊張,時至今日,即日訂晚市也有位.晚上七點多去到,餐廳內的客人不多.地方不算大,最多可容納四十多人,周圍環境不拘束,很有歐陸的優閒風情,牆上的已走不動古董鐘,增加了一點點vintage的味道.

在此等地方吃法國菜,未必一定死忠要吃五,六道菜,是夜大家的胃口不算特別好,一個頭盤,加一個主菜便夠.剛好有個Promotion menu,內容有蟹肉濃湯,主菜全是French buckwheat crepe,不過配上不同材料,另外還有甜品,三道菜價錢為$360,但如果每一樣散叫,加起上來更平.實在有點奇怪.我對crepe興趣不大,還是散叫算罷.鑑於現今的藍貝未到時候,殼大肉小,唯有推卻店員的美意.

我倆的頭盤同樣是洋荵湯,當一上桌,見到個洋荵湯賣相,大家不約而同地打了一個突:{嘩!乜個洋荵湯賣相咁Hea?}沒有大堆頭的半溶芝士麵包,只有一小片芝士麵包塊,感覺與月前在元朗的雪山,遇上的所謂"家鄉"風味法式洋荵湯一樣地無奈.味道方面,洋荵絲帶點微辛兼甜,湯底尚有牛肉的香,可惜沒有大量芝士陪伴著,總覺得欠缺了一些.

我的主菜是烤威爾斯羊架,配菜有原隻燒蒜頭,沙律菜,薯仔等等,在羊架上層舖滿了金黃的麵包糠.我要是五成熟,當一切開看看,肉質嫣紅,生熟程度較得剛剛好.羊肉質感軟稔,羊味十足,細吃下去更感到有一陣近似大自然的幽香.說回威爾斯羊,身價比大家常吃的澳紐羊高得多,連英國皇室也愛上,變成"英皇御准".難得b仔也有此味供應,二百多塊便能夠品嘗到威爾斯羊之風味,絕對好過味道千篇一律的烤澳紐羊架.

E小姐的主菜是慢煮法式春雞,外層的雞皮烤得脆而不油,雞肉柔軟而有彈性,另外的side dish是黑松露醬手做麵,每一條麵條帶有蛋香,彈牙的口感加上黑松露醬的幽香,有點點搶去燒春雞之風頭,記得此side dish要趁熱吃,否則就差得遠矣.

主菜份量比想像中大,結果大家連甜品也吃不下.吃到此時食客越來越多,聲浪越來越大,與店內的優雅環境有所出入.

兩個人不喝酒,埋單七百多,如非洋荵湯的失手,我會給予此店更高的評價,順帶一提是女店員極為專業,對每一道菜有很深的認識,在一間非五星級高級餐廳,也有如此的女店員,實在值得一讚.

星期六的中午, 想悠閒地享受一頓好味既西餐, 於是同友人黎左呢度。環境優美, 可惜望既係街景。 法式洋蔥湯: 最鍾意塊焗芝士 新鮮 blue mussel 配茄汁長通粉: d mussel 係鮮甜既 甜品件件外形都非常精美

Saturday night and the place is almost full with nice subtle lighting.Table is a nice size but the chairs were from a school sale, small, low and uncomfortable for a western posterior.Starters-snails($108) were well presented but served on a bed of rock salt so that it was impossible to mop up the buttery sauce. Saturday night and the place is almost full with nice subtle lighting.

Mains-fois gras and mushroom pancake($158) was dry and lukewarm with the filling mainly being mushroom with two small pieces fois gras spotted.

The side order of fries($48) were excelant.

Cassoulet($250), one of the great classic bistro meals was a big disappointment

"The best cassoulet is from Toulouse and consists of duck confit, saucisson, pork skin, pork, beans, garlic, onion and bouquet garni, slow-cooked for at least four hours.."

This was not it, but a sad and rather dry plate of beans with an excelant sausage and small piece of duck included.

There as no soul to this cooking, like the chef had never been to France to experience the wonderful food there, and was just cooking by numbers.

By now my posterior was defeated by the unbelievably uncomfortable chair, so pudding was ordered take away to be enjoyed with coffee at home.

Bill-beer $48, 2 house reds $130 and a coke $28 the total was $995 which is very poor value for a meal I could make at home much better at a fraction of the price.

紫色代表浪漫~貴氣~....今日同事拿咗一罐紫色既餅罐出來這隻brand 是 agnes b 既餅呀~原來要係個商場來買滿2000元以上才有的內裏係獨立透明包裝既曲奇餅,蝴蝶餅的曲奇餅好香好脆好好味~蝴蝶餅酥化,好味, 但略味呀~第一次食agnes b既曲奇餅, 真係好新鮮而且個罐亦很美~

原來要係個商場來買滿2000元以上才有的


內裏係獨立透明包裝既曲奇餅,蝴蝶餅的

曲奇餅好香好脆好好味~
蝴蝶餅酥化,好味, 但略味呀~


第一次食agnes b既曲奇餅, 真係好新鮮
而且個罐亦很美~

Pan-fried frog legs in garlic butter and parsley, $178, 這是今晚經理介紹的 special, 上桌時田雞腿浸在牛油中, 有點膩感, 蒜香及香草味不夠濃郁, 田雞肉幾腍, 但整體沒有留下深刻印象!

Roasted duck leg confit, $180, 這個烤鴨腿上桌時感覺甚乾, 但切開時頗容易,質感不似想像中般"嚡"口, 鴨肉,一絲一絲的, 鹹香味濃, 底下墊上一些薯仔片及另上沙律菜, 用以減輕鴨肉的鹹味, 我個人就麻麻啦!


Mini dessert platter, $148, 另一個胃仍未填滿, 又想試多幾種, 於是叫了個併盤, 只有四種 : apple tart, chocolate puff, crème bulee, chococlate truffle cake…大部分也普通, 只是最後的朱古力蛋糕味濃, 很軟滑, 但卻甜了一點點, 可能櫃內的 cut cake 會較好質素!

店內環境佈置不俗, 侍應添水換碟時間很恰當, 環境, 服務比食物更高分!

This restaurant is snobbish, the waiters and waitresses need re-training. My friend and I wanted to have dessert after dinner and we were diverted to a round table, big enough to accomodate 5 ppl and it was right in front of the cake counter with a very bright light . We requested the table for 2 next to the window but were turned down, saying that the window table is reserved for dinner. It was 10 pm and who's coming in for dinner????? So we decided to leave and said we would come back next ti

That male waiter (maybe a Filo guy coz it was quite dark inside and speaks English) said behind our back, "o u cannot choose ur own table" with that snobbish expression!! From the outside it looks really nice, with the half curtains and dim light.When I stepped inside, the cozy atmosphere makes you really wanna stay long, and I couldn't help hoping that the food would be good too.We orderednion soup- Good oneAlaska Crab leg- AvgSteak- Bad. really testing how strong your teeth areMussels- Good, but not really exclusiveDessert- Creme Brulee with lemon bits . Onion soup- Good one
Alaska Crab leg- Avg
Steak- Bad. really testing how strong your teeth are
Mussels- Good, but not really exclusive
Dessert- Creme Brulee with lemon bits . Very Average, not the best

Service: OK
One very odd thing is that the chairs are too low for the table. I need to bend my back the whole evening. Not very comfortable.
Overall- Average
Recommend for those die hard Agnes b fans
Not for those taller than 150cm
