近年走專門路線的扒房愈開愈多,早日就與一班圈內食友到新開的「Le Relais de l'Entrecôte」掃餐牌。「那些年」的老式扒房風格,半新還舊,只能以來形容當時感覺。店沒有主菜餐牌,只獨孤一味賣牛扒及炸薯條,當晚牛沒有吃到,因為胃口真的麻麻,只能「拍薯條」,炸得夠脆又熱辣辣,用來蘸秘製汁醬實在「多多益善」!更令人眼前一亮是豐富的甜品陣,超過十五款「重口味」甜品,一派法國人愛甜的性格,尤其朱古力巨塔及朱古力泡芙都不是說笑的東西。開心的一夜,主菜連甜品每位$288取價公道,未試過的朋友值得一試。

之前去法國次次見到呢間餐廳都一定有好多人排隊等位所以都無去試過,知道佢地係香港開左一路都想去試下睇下係咩一回事星期五晏晝去食唔洗等位就有得入去…坐低之後個待應就解釋俾我知原來只係得一個餐單(沙律…牛扒…甜品)我淨係要諗到底想要幾成熟沙律有少少酸好開胃牛扒唔算好大塊同埋會分兩次上菜…個汁有少少似香草味都幾特別…薯條超新鮮熱辣辣好好味!!!最後上埋個甜品…好滿足!!!!!

牛扒唔算好大塊同埋會分兩次上菜…個汁有少少似香草味都幾特別…薯條超新鮮熱辣辣好好味!!!

早前同事說公司附近新開了間牛排餐廳,一直想去試,但每次放工去到都見到長長的人龍,最討厭排隊的我每次都卻步。上星期五難得外出工作可以直接放工,便決定和同事過來碰碰運氣。怎料,人家餐廳六點半才開門,我們六點二十分去到,門口已經出現長長人龍等候入座。幸好餐廳地方頗大,而且規定要齊人才可以入座,我們才能夠成為第一批入座的食客。早在報章上看到這裏只有西冷牛排套餐,餐牌也就沒什麼好看了。穿傳統黑裙配白圍裙制服的侍應先問我們想要的「牛扒」生熟程度(我選了Rare,而友人選了Medium Rare),繼而在我們的餐紙上寫下R和M以作識別,感覺有趣。在等候食物送上期間,我和友人一直討論餐廳牆上的掛畫海報、餐廳的擺設及裝潢,的確很有法國懷舊小酒館的味道。侍應們的親切感也為晚餐帶來輕鬆愉快的氣氛。先來一份合桃沙律配麵包,新鮮的羅馬生菜配上口感酥脆的合桃,口感不錯還蠻開胃的。吃罷沙律,大家慕名而來的西冷牛排要來了。侍應會在另一邊的餐桌上把牛排及薯條分好,再淋上醬汁,然後放到我們面前。接著我們發現侍應原來會待我們吃罷面前分量的牛排後再為我們添上其餘的牛排,為的是保證牛排的溫度,這一部分的服務很體貼又細心。另一方

吃罷沙律,大家慕名而來的西冷牛排要來了。侍應會在另一邊的餐桌上把牛排及薯條分好,再淋上醬汁,然後放到我們面前。
接著我們發現侍應原來會待我們吃罷面前分量的牛排後再為我們添上其餘的牛排,為的是保證牛排的溫度,這一部分的服務很體貼又細心。另一方面,侍應們都很健談,不時詢問我們的用餐情況。在和侍應交流其間,我們才發現原來餐廳在烹調牛排前會先去除多餘的油脂,難怪吃起來與平常的有所分別。對怕肥膩的人來說,這當然最好不過。另外,其秘製醬汁也與坊間的牛排醬汁顯然不同,但無從考究到底它是什麼醬汁,但用來搭配牛排,味道果然一流。伴碟的薯條新鮮即炸,熱辣辣的也同樣可口。

其實吃罷牛排,我們都已經飽得要命,但看到長長的甜品餐牌,還是忍不住挑了Relais Tulip來試試。其實它是野莓薄脆配雲呢拿雪糕,薄脆出乎意料的富有蛋味,混合野莓及雪糕來吃,酸酸甜甜的,是女孩子會喜歡的一款甜品
聽聞此牛排餐廳在法國名氣頗大,一直很好奇,只賣牛排和薯條的餐廳如何能夠俘虜食客的心呢?原來秘訣在其秘製醬汁之中。為了這個醬汁而排隊,還是覺得很值得的。

Hearded that this famous steak restaurant from Paris was in Hong Kong , I was eager to find sometime to visit. Noted with no reservation but just walk in. From the moments I settle down on my seat, I look around and really feel like I was in Paris. It just kind of the restaurant that you will found on the street of Champs Elysees with Red roof cover and elegant furnishing inside.
The waitress serves us like royalty and with courtesy to please us make us feel at ease and homey.They bring us water than gradually answered every questions I asked. I feel the services even better than we encountered in Paris last time!

We ordered 1 carafe of red house wine year 2011Chateau De Saurs - Contance $208 which was quite young and fruity. Nice wine pairing with the steak.

This french restaurant only sell one kind of food which is steak with it's unique sauce that go with unlimited fries and salad.
The waitress bring us the walnuts salad and French bread. The dressing of the salad is a bit sour with walnuts spreaded on the top which was a quite refreshing appetizer ! I became to get so hungry after finishing the yummy salad and bite vigorous for the French bread. Personally, I love the crusty french bread loaf so much because of their hardness and their strong smell of flour.

Followed by our salad and bread, our main course Steak & French fries with it's unique sauce $288/person arrived. The waitress explained to us that was the first round and the second round will be bring to us after we finished. The beef just done exactly I want as medium rare with pink red tender meat which melting in my mouth with it's special sauce added on it. The other half potion keep warm in siliver plate which prepared to serve to the customers afterwards. 
I was just so happy that we can have refills of the French fries, the fries just so tasty that I could not get enough and I get a second round was also finished promptly.

Lastly, it came to my favourite part which is dessert but unfortunately today the restaurant run out of the lovely Le Vacherin Dete which was quite amazing when I saw it's photo on Internet ! So, I order other 2 signature dessert which is Raspberry Delice $ 88 and Relais Profiteroles $ 88.

Raspberry put aside on the sobert. I love the sobert which is softly melted in my mouth with the fresh summer fruit. The profiterole is a must eat dessert on my list every time I travel to Paris. I like the chocolate sauce added on the puff and the vanilla icecream inside the puff. It just make the profiterole taste so special since usually we eat was custard inside the puff.

After we settled the bills and walking out of the doorway, the staffs warmly saying goodbye to us as we passing by each of them. 

I love this restaurant so much as compare to my favourite Grand Hyatt steak house in town and it's still win my heart with it's unbeatable service , yummy steak and dessert ! Not mention the warm smile and welcoming from the staffs of the La Relais Le Entrecote Hong Hong . You create a wonderful night for me just like one night in Paris !

不要小看賣相樸實無華之cream brûlée
薄薄清甜焦糖,濃濃香草味之燉蛋,口感幼滑,簡單就是最好的。

"Relais" Tulip 一款賣相相當美麗的甜品,造型如同綻放的鬱金香,暖暖的牛油脆片盛著軟滑香草雪糕再加微酸紅桑苺,大滿足了。

我點了 Medium 的熟度,粉嫩的肉色勾起了大家的食慾。牛扒嫩滑,味濃而肉汁豐盛,秘製醬汁有點像略甜的沙茶醬,再加點芥末醬就更好味。配上任意添吃的手切鮮炸薯條,整個感覺很不錯。所以,只要夠專,哪怕獨沽一味?

來到甜品時間,跟朋友點了幾款分享。像一座塔的 le Vacherin d’été 最受歡迎。一層一層,分別有忌廉、紅桑子雪葩、雲呢拿雪糕,再以蛋白脆餅分隔,並灑上酸甜的紅桑子醬汁,十分清新開胃。適合吃完膩膩的牛扒後享用。

Relais” Profiteroles 乍看之下以為是一球球雪糕,實情是藏著雪糕的泡芙,再淋上朱古力醬,很喜歡那味道,也喜歡它豐富的口感層次,令我印象頗深。

以性價比衡量,個人覺得 Le Relais de l'Entrecôte 的水準不俗。在灣仔黃金地段,裝潢不俗的餐廳中,能夠以實惠價錢吃牛扒,是值得考慮的好去處。唯一要留意的是,請朋友不要遲到!

而其餘的另一半份量的牛扒則放在一個銀盤內,以溫火保溫,令牛扒及特製醬汁處於最佳狀態。最好的是薯條是任吃的,侍應會拿著一大盤薯條幫客人添加。薯條無論在味道及香氣都很好,可是有個缺點就是很快便變軟,影響了質感。如感覺醬汁有點膩,加入些芥末便令醬汁變得更有層次,可試。

來到甜品時間,幾個人點了幾款來分享。眾人都對【le Vacherin d’été】的賣相驚嘆,高高的一座,加上紅白相襯,未吃已引人口水長流,甜品分別由忌廉、蛋白脆餅、紅桑子雪葩及雲呢拿雪糕,再淋上紅桑子醬汁,味道清新,而且酸酸甜甜又可幫助消化,好味。

另一個同樣受歡迎的是【”Relais” Profiteroles】,與紅桑子對比很大,這個以幾個小小的泡芙堆成塔型,上面淋有朱古力醬汁,泡芙質感鬆軟,一咬之下,原來內藏雪糕,有驚喜。

再來簡簡單單的【Our Crème Brûlée】,焦糖層薄而脆,燉蛋則香濃幼滑,含有豐富的雲呢拿籽,加上甜度適中,質感更趨向慕絲般輕盈,非常值得一試。

今次的聚會選址這兒絕對值得,才知道原來大家是這麼喜歡牛扒的,加上價錢比起扒房便宜,實在是一個好地方,只是這兒不接受訂座,要來就要排隊等候。

I would not go back again as the food and service were not up to my expectation.  Dont bother.We (2 of us) arrived at about 8.30 pm last Wednesday without booking, the maitre d' showed us 2 seats at the end of a table which was already occupied by a family of 6.   We thought it was too crowded and uncomfortable, he suggested another 2 seats which were squeezed between 2 couples.  Not until we indicated that we would rather come again on another date did he show us a more decent table for 2, whic

We (2 of us) arrived at about 8.30 pm last Wednesday without booking, the maitre d' showed us 2 seats at the end of a table which was already occupied by a family of 6.   We thought it was too crowded and uncomfortable, he suggested another 2 seats which were squeezed between 2 couples.  Not until we indicated that we would rather come again on another date did he show us a more decent table for 2, which was still very small.  

Then came the waitress.  Once we sat down, the question from her was "how do you like your beef done?"  There was no menu!!! no nothing.  Then she impatiently explained that its the same set menu that every customer had....salad, steak with french fries.  The only choice is how well the steak was cooked.  At that point we had no idea how much it was going to cost.  Then came the question about drinks.  No drinks menu ? Oh yes, if you want to see it was the answer.   Thats NOT service.

We ordered 2 set meals.  Very soon there came three cut pieces of baguette with one piece of butter for both of us, but only one piece of baguette was warm.  Upon complaint, the waitress brought us some warm ones.  They were the best of the whole meal.  

The walnut salad was a let down.  The lettuce leaves were not crispy, it did not look and taste like it was freshly done.  

More importantly its the steak.  Its about 8 ounce for each portion.  We were first served half of it with french fries.  The other half was kept warm.  After we finished the first helping, the rest was served.  The butter sauce was OK with some nutty flavour but the steak was way beyond my expectation.  Not only its chewy (done medium rare) it did not have the taste of beef.  The only taste came from the sauce.  I did not even bother to finish the second helping.  

Thats all for the set meal. Coffee and tea cost extra.  

The bill came to $800 for 2 which included 2 set menu, a bottle of water and tea and coffee. Not worth it.

There's no need for a menu as the restaurant only serve one main dish - steak and french fries along with salad for $288 per person. We both ordered our steak to be Medium to which they mark the letter "M" on our table.

The wine list here is pretty extensive with selections from the owner's vineyard as well and we started off the night with a wine by the glass ($78) which turned out to be the La Constance from Chateau de Saurs. Blended with a variety of grapes such as Duras, Brancol, Merlot and Syrah, the wine was easy on the palate with a hint of fruity flavor - perfect as an accompaniment to meat.

A few pieces of baguette came next and they were quite sad actually as they were neither warm or soft. I took a bite out of one and didn't touch the rest.

Our starter of green salad with walnuts was not that impressive either. The greens were limp and not crisp enough while the Dijon mustard dressing could have been mixed better with the rest of the salad.

The dishes come out quite fast and we didn't have to wait long before our steak frites arrived. The trimmed sirloin steak was served with crispy fries and signature secret sauce that was created by the founder of the restaurant more than 50 years ago. Initially, I was shocked at the seemingly small portion but it turns out that they will give you a second serving to ensure their food is served warm. The steak looked promising at first as it was cooked perfectly with a pinkish center but it was far too lean, tough and chewy for me. The only saving grace was the secret sauce which was really tasty and great for dipping the fries as well. If I have to describe it, to me it tasted like the garlicky sauce typically used in escargots à la bourguignonne.

Even though we were pretty full, we couldn't resist sharing one dessert and after much deliberation, we went with the Le Vacherin d'été ($88) - a leaning tower with layers of meringue, raspberry sorbert and vanilla ice cream drizzled with heaps of raspberry sauce! I love the crunchy meringue layers while the raspberry sorbet was refreshing with its tangy flavors and helped to balance out the sweetness of the dessert. I'm satisfied!

Verdict - I've never been to the original in Paris but I wasn't that impressed with the steak frites here. The food just tasted average and looked like cafeteria food to be honest. It pains me to say this but I think that the steak frites at La Vache was actually much better (but with bad service). The service here was definitely better though as all of the staff were really friendly and nice in general.

All comment about this restaurant so far are from the media, or professional writers. After trying once in a business lunch, I cannot see why people would recommend it !First about the service : the waitress don't know what they are doing, or what they are selling. They dont know how to use the fork and spoon to transfer the fries from plate to plate, so I saw one of them using her hands!!!!! Second, the food : the beef is not cooked as ordered, the beef is like rubber and the sauce is totally d

此店最特別的地方是九成客人和十成侍應都是法國人,而且還著得十分高雅。能夠聽著一口法文地進餐也是一種享受。接近收店時間,待應坐了我旁邊的桌子進餐,因為該枱有三位穿了晚禮服的美女客人呢!也叫做見識到法國人的浪漫風格。

As a French people, we are familiar with the concept of "Relais de l'Entrecote" in Paris and London and this restaurant in Wanchai surpasses all of them.First, it has this real luxurious, parisian, brasserie-like athmosphere. As a French people, we are familiar with the concept of "Relais de l'Entrecote" in Paris and London and this restaurant in Wanchai surpasses all of them.

First, it has this real luxurious, parisian, brasserie-like athmosphere. Same coloured tablecloths, glasses, cutlery, plates ...even the little Dijon Moustard pots are the same than the Relais de l'Entrecote in Paris!! The lighting is just right and the athmosphere is great : a pleasure for the eyes. For the aficionados that we are, it was a great way to cure the little "home-sick" feeling you can sometimes get on a sunday night.

And then came the food. This is a set-up menu, salad as a starter then grilled meat and French fries. The salad is served with walnuts and a delicious sauce, just right seasoning with enough vinegar and moustard fo me. Then we had to choose our cooking preference for the meat : I like it medium. The Meat is grilled and served with a sauce which is unique and make this restaurant famous in Paris. I can't tell you how good was this meat, really delicious : tender but not too fat, really tasty. The trio Meat - French fries - Sauce is really exceptional. The quality of the meat is rare, and the taste of the potatoes is unbeatable : nutty and tasty. I couldn' help but asking for more. And I could because the meat and sauce are actually unlimited!
I would also like to mention the bread. This is the best baguette I've ever had in Hong Kong. So don't make the same mistake I did : be carefull not to rush on the bread at the beginning of the dinner, save it for the salad and the sauce.
For the desert we could choose amongst a long list. I had the profiteroles and my husband had the vacherin. Both very good. I am a chocolate person and the sauce of the profiterole was perfect from my view point.
