我生日的一個多月前在網上得知這香格里拉為慶祝四十週年而推出的優惠,我立即登記參加,第一時間訂那間米芝蓮的Petrus,打算生日那天和愛人到那裡用餐,有半價嘛,怎料那arrogant 的法國餐廳一天後 email 回覆我說不能接受我的reservation,叫我訂其他香格里拉餐廳,我立即email問返他們為什麼不能接受我的reservation,畢竟我早了成個月訂枱的,但那arrogant 的Petrus再沒有回覆給我,然後我就訂這間龍蝦吧啦,怎料我在一天後同樣收到他們同一封 email 回覆,說不能接受我的reservation,叫我訂其他香格里拉餐廳,我十分生氣,狂寫email投訴香格里拉,我說這四十週年優惠根本是個騙局,香格里拉都有回覆的,他們當然辯稱這不是騙局,說每間餐廳不能張張枱都給生日半價這優惠喎,blab blab blab,但就不肯說每間餐廳每日可給予幾多quota,我最後都放棄和他們周旋,哈,萬萬估不到這龍蝦吧在我生日前幾天打電話來,又話有枱給我,問我還要不要訂,我立即說要,所以最後又可以和愛人到香格里拉用餐,算順返條氣啦。當天我們十分準時到達餐廳,門口那鬼佬recep

當天我們十分準時到達餐廳,門口那鬼佬reception帶我們入座,我們點了主菜後便開始埋首buffet,我覺得最抵食的是那些煙三文魚和新鮮的raspberry & strawberry,因為超市賣到好貴的嘛,其他都沒有特別,主菜未到,吃buffet都已經飽到反肚,那籃麵包我們都沒有吃,最後"打包"回家呢,哈,那些麵包第二日焗返熱來食,還是很好味,唔錯唔錯!

講下主菜,那香煎Sea Bass十分十分好食,廚師煎到剛剛好熟,所以又滑又香,十分出色,可是,另一主菜雞胸饟鴨肝就勁難食,那雞胸又乾又無味,而我是不吃內臟的,我在不知道的情況下食到那些鴨肝,Yuck! 食食下有位女侍應走來問我們覺得兩道主菜怎麼樣,我愛人很大量的,竟然答她 "OK",我就第一時間補充說那雞胸又乾又無味唔好食,女侍應立即問我們要不要換過碟,我們說不用了,心想我們一早已經飽到反肚,唔食個主菜都無問題的,不過就要讚一讚 D service,竟然好到肯換過碟主菜比我們,很周到呢!

最後,又要講返甜品,因為我們意外收穫,話說2:30左右愛人看到buffet 區在收野,我不相信,行去望望,真係的,buffet 區已經空空如也,我立即問個女侍應為什麼沒有告訴我們會清走buffet,她連忙道歉,說餐廳有份dessert menu可以供我們點,不用額外收費的,哈,張dessert menu上寫住每份dessert 要$118,但現在我們竟然包埋在這lunch set 內,真的抵到不能再抵了,而且我們點的兩款甜品都勁勁勁好味,所以我都不再挑剔香格里拉了。

Other Info. : 我們明明十分準時到達餐廳,而且門口那鬼佬reception又已經帶了我們坐下,怎料15分鐘後餐廳職員打電話來,問我們訂左張枱會幾時到達,吓,我們回答說已經坐底左食緊野喎,餐廳職員便立即收線,愛人說餐廳十分緊張每個reservation,因為前一天已經打過一次電話提我們,不過,這個誤會又未免太離譜吧,算數啦,還有一點,香格里拉不肯說每間餐廳每日可給予幾多個生日quota,但我觀察所見,當日全場滿座,但我覺得只有我們這一枱是用這半價優惠,一個平日的中午都這麼好生意,難怪一開始便email我說不能接受我的reservation。

四十週年優惠至年尾,幸好還可以meet到,以半價嘆五星級食物。原先是吃晚飯,但由於晚上要上學,只好改吃午餐。但當到抵餐廳,覺得吃午餐,也未嚐是件「壞事」。白天下的Lobster Bar,顯得餐廳的主色─藍色,更見典雅。而午餐供應半自助餐,有著不少的appetizers和甜品。吃飽仍有半天的時間消化。簡直是「錯有錯著」。先來一大籃餐前麵包。款式「眾多」。三色椒芝士包、橄欖酥、小長法包、芝士香草薄脆多士,暖暖的奉上。最欣賞是橄欖酥,新意之餘,橄欖份量不少,味道有驚喜!然後出去夾appetizers。煙三文魚鱒魚蓉三文魚籽、凍扁意大利麵蝦肉法色鵝肝多士、泰式青芒牛肉沙律、巴馬火腿哈蜜瓜、芝士、牛面頰卷,各樣質素也絕不馬虎。來得Lobster Bar不吃龍蝦,有點不憤,所以散叫了龍蝦湯。味道是非常鮮的龍蝦味,但我嫌它好像打了泡,使之黏稠了一點。跟餐選了Sea Bass,魚肉滑得可滑入喉,忌廉汁不膩,沒有奪去魚味。散叫的二式上等牛肉慢煮和牛小肋骨及安格斯牛柳配香煎鴨肝蘑菇及紅酒干蔥汁,我不太懂欣賞牛扒,覺得不韌,有肉汁便行。這件都ok既。鴨肝就略羶了。沒有入口即溶效果。急不及待的吃點品。法式冧酒

荔枝芒果焦糖果凍、桑布甸法式檸檬批、暖朱古力玉桂布甸,白蘭地汁、桃子開心果脆餅。我每款東西也吃過了,食味/賣相給80分!
因太飽,餐飲order伯爵茶。隨附上朱古力兩片,嘩!正呀!滑之餘還有脆脆在內,I like it!!

例牌也說一說麵包籃,二人最喜歡的還是芝士脆餅! 另外也有兩款脆餅,也是不錯的。牛油就只有一款選擇... 其實麵包也不太吸引,那個以為是朱古力卷的東東結果是black olive麵包 絕非二人的口味... 雖然小妹最後都口痕吃了不少,但論味道的話就真的很一般貨式... 令我懷念某些餐廳的麵包籃!

來個前菜,是大蝦牛油果沙律(prawn and avocado salad),大蝦有5隻,每隻都開邊且爽身,牛油果是小妹很喜歡的生果之一,雖比較高熱量,但據說很有益處,而且配沙律一流。沙律清新,是隨時的開胃之選。

主菜一同上枱,我們先吃味淡的pan-seared seabass, 是today’s catch. 魚放涼了會變腥,所以更加要先吃。可以選擇連骨或去骨,我們要了後者,方便食用~ 魚新鮮甜美,輕輕的煎過,魚皮該是很香脆的,小妹就沒有吃~ MP就覺得魚是不錯,不過不是stunningly good,這一點我也認同,不過新鮮程度都算是today’s catch的~ 印象中,吃過最難忘的seabass是在已經結業的VQ,那一條在我們面前拆骨的seabass令人沒齒難忘! 至今仍未有其他的經驗可以代替

來到lobster bar, 如果不點一客龍蝦,情況就像去到扒房只吃配菜一樣,浪費了一次的食之體驗。事前看到大家都推介的 traditional thermidor lobster. 傳統的做法,以芝士加小量洋蔥和菌類焗成,味道濃烈香艷! 波士頓龍蝦size不算大隻,一客分成兩邊,其實有點不夠喉~ 調味太濃的關係,沒有真正吃到龍蝦的鮮味。既然是入口貨,也沒有覺得太可惜,而且是各有各特色的食法! 眾食家都推介也不足為奇呢

直至目前為止,小妹其實不太滿意這頓晚餐(雖然主角MP也沒哼一聲不滿~)。除了食物帶不到wow effect外,當二人在拍照時,外藉經理前來禮貌地希望二人不要用閃光燈拍照,說是有其他食客覺得困擾。換著是普通日子,我們絕對樂意關掉閃光燈,但當晚是吃慶生飯呀,心中總會有點不悅,當然二人都沒有用閃光燈,不想讓店方難做。記述這件不太高興的事件後,氣氛一改,讓我來介紹當晚的甜品,也是全晚最精彩的部分,現在壓軸登場!

二人都有胃納每人order一份甜品,盡享甜美的感覺! 店方所有甜品都是$115 each, 我們要了店方推介的coco caramel bar with Bailey’s ice-cream. 很精緻的賣相,MP不斷在思考上層的脆圈圈是如何造成的,但沒有結論~中間的百利酒雪糕營造了冰涼的效果,酒味微微的,單吃或配合下層的蛋糕也一樣誘人! 下層的蛋糕就更精彩,個子不高,但原來分成四層! 底層是消化餅底,推上一層是朱古力海綿蛋糕、第二層擬似是椰子蓉,最頂層就是焦糖mousse!主角焦糖慕絲甜度適中,不是那種甜掉牙的東西~ 而且焦糖與百利酒都很匹配,夾起來吃簡直如像升天一樣美好! 二人都禁不住要搶食!!

另外一個就是這個女孩恩物花花撻,是花生醬朱古力撻~~上層那一朵花的花瓣是黑朱古力造成的,頗厚身的,吃一塊都很滿足了! 不過撻的餡才 “堅”!非常實淨的朱古力餡,中間浸著一點點的花生醬味。撻的外皮也很香脆,做得不錯! 配上咖啡味雪糕。二人都怕雪糕會溶掉所以老早就把雪糕先行吃掉~咖啡味很香,相信配上朱撻吃的話就可在口中自製MOCHA了! 小妹最後沒有能力KO這件撻,也是由MP獨力完成!

扒帶子青蘋果莧菜沙律,粒粒帶子肥大肉厚,作沙律的質素已經如此高,主菜來的一定更豐富美味﹔牛肉沙律,牛肉質感比想像好吃,味道甜甜酸酸﹔吞拿魚沙律青豆配意大利黑醋汁,半生熟厚切的吞拿魚味道濃烈,加上帶酸黑醋汁亦是開胃之選﹔扒雜菜伴意大利芝士,吃太多肉也要點蔬菜來作平衡,還有芝士拼盤及凍扁意大利粉配鮮蝦香草,已經吃得太多,沒有再吃芝士及意粉,怕一吃便很飽肚溜濟。

每款試一點已經來得十分豐富,但主菜還未吃,我已經汁率先吃甜品甜品款式不算太多,有Tiramisu,Mascarpone cheese打得幼滑,甜度也剛好,但中間蛋糕的咖啡酒味偏淡了一點,口感亦不夠濕潤﹔Peach and Pistachio Crumble,酸酸的桃配搭香口的開心果蓉,味道清新,但Crumble及批底不夠脆身﹔黑森林蛋糕,不是正宗做法,中間的朱古力蛋糕味道頗甜,而夾著的櫻桃酒味亦較淡,整體水準一般﹔紅莓布甸,酸度極高,挺合個人口味,但是布甸較為水了一點,質感可以改善﹔法式檸檬撻,酥皮底不鬆化,中間的檸檬餡料偏少,亦不夠酸。

荔枝芒果焦糖果凍,味道有點怪怪的,芒果的酸味完全覆蓋了焦糖的甜味﹔焦糖燉蛋,燉蛋不夠滑身,焦糖面燒得亦不夠脆身,﹔法式Rum甜包,酒味來得極濃烈,味道不太討好﹔暖朱古力玉桂布甸,朱古力味十分濃郁,甜度不高,相反吃不到點點的玉桂味,布甸質感略嫌乾身一點,要伴上朱古力醬吃口感才好。甜品過後,主菜亦已準備好。我的Pan-fried Halibut Fillet,份量不少,魚煎得微微金黃,魚肉鮮嫩,配上蔬菜及魚煮成的醬汁,魚味更突出,更鮮更甜。

最後以一杯咖啡作結尾,真的滿足!有如置身於海洋館的午餐,食物質素不錯,環境舒適極了,真的開心。加上酒店40週年的優惠,二人同行還有50% Off,實在是十分抵吃。

很多年前已經光顧,多年之後再來,水準保持得不錯。The bread is not too tempting. They are a bit cold.The mussels we ordered are way too salty and the white wine sauce is too bland. 除了選擇豐富的主餐牌,這裡也設四道菜的精選晚餐,定價$718/配酒$818,內容相當吸引,是晚也點了一份,另加散點菜式。落單不久,首先送上陣容豐富的麵包籃,麵包除了拌以牛油,又連同牛油果醬同上,後者頗為香滑滋味,與麵包是好拍檔。不同口味的麵包全有外層超脆硬、內鬆化的效果,估計是以超高溫烘製而成,其中老公最鍾情中間的橄欖包,我則至欣賞鬆脆可口的芝士薄脆。

鴨肝龍蝦清湯,此清湯初看感覺稀淡,沒有突出吸引之處;但原來湯底別有底蘊,同時有鴨肝與龍蝦兩款寶物沉歸底! 受到清湯熱力影響,一筆之下鴨肝幾近半融於湯中,令原已頗鮮美的清湯,多添一份馥郁肝香;然後再來一啖鮮甜的龍蝦肉,效果十分美味!

海陸精選,內容是慢煮和牛臉頰配烤焗龍蝦。對這裡的牛肉本不寄以深厚期望,然而這份和牛面頰經慢煮後,原已無根的肉質變得超嫩超滑,幾乎是入口即融的程度,成品又入味,美味令人驚艷! 除了美味和牛,半邊燒龍蝦又是無比的爽甜彈牙,吃的就是龍蝦原有鮮味,果然不負Lobster Bar的盛名! 最後,連配菜的薯蓉、牛肝菌、豆角及紅椰菜花,也一樣美味令人滿意。

Coco Caramel Bar with Baileys Ice-cream,這也是餐廳的招牌推介,看賣相或者不太出眾,但食來真是超級美味:首先面層長條形的Bailey's雪糕,成功營造了冰涼香滑感受,然而中間焦糖慕絲甜度適中,輕柔不膩,加上底層清脆動人的脆底,整個甜品層次豐富,好吃得老公也來搶食! 十分推介!

特別要提餐廳七點半會開始Live Band演奏,令用餐氣氛更顯浪漫悠揚,後來更加入美女即場獻唱,她的歌聲渾厚迷人,與樂隊又滿有默契,整體演出簡直是拍爛全場手掌,亦為這頓生日晚餐更添完滿。

Had a business lunch at Lobster Bar. The environment is typical for a restaurant within a hotel. It's not me paying for the bill and I didn't dare to order too much, just a lobster pasta and a salad.

The salad was definitely normal, pretty much what I can get at a salad bar at Great. Vege is no doubt fresh, but shouldn't the quality and quantity be more rewarding?

The lobster pasta. Well, I think diners always have expectations when they pay a premium. It's LOBSTER bar, so please show me what you got! The pasta, I can only say it's par. I think La Fleur or Al Dente do better. The lobster, no surprise at all but a piece of dead seafood.

It's weekdays evening at around 10pm, very quiet with only a few customers in there, some were sitting outdoors. A fantastic band was playing Jazz to bring me into the mood, having a glass of my Shiraz....later on, the singer sang a few songs and made me totally feel relax...very nice.

Service and interior decoration are great, pricing is reasonable. It's really a good place for someone like live music in somewhere not crowded.

This is the BEST resturant that I have ever tried. We have ordered 2 special drinks (Lychee cocktail & BAY ( a mixture of Lychee juice + some berries + pineapple juice), lobster soup, main course were Grilled Tuna + Goose liver and a grilled Lobster with cheese.The bread basket was nice, many choices...but I love "Make-in-time" bread..so if this can be grilled before on table would be GREAT!The soup was the BEST one I have ever tried! 一個字-「賴」嘢。龍蝦湯酒味過濃, 龍蝦Ravioli嘅皮太厚,味道唔湯唔水。龍蝦意粉都賴嘢,D意粉係「鞋」ga,仲要有D水汪汪,唔掂,打死唔會再去!!!
The only good thing is the bread, well the service is fine too but it should be cos it's in Island Shangri-la.
