This restaurant is basically an uni galore. It has so many unique ways of eating uni, pairing it up with a variety of different ingredients, and making creative dishes out of them. Whilst its storefront can be easy to miss, it's definitely worth searching for it!The interior design may not be much, but it's very reminiscent of local Japanese casual dining restaurants. This sashimi cup has 10 layers of pure goodness inside, including an ample amount of uni, salmon roe, tuna, crab etc. The mixture of all these ingredients creates a freshness and a sense of complexity that is difficult to rival.

A refreshing part of the meal has to be this salad. The creaminess of the sea urchin provides a nice 'dressing' to the salad, and who doesn't love a little avocado thrown in the mix?

One of the most visually surprising dish of the night came when the waitress set the plate on fire, mimicking the searing procedure that the chef used to heat up the top portion of the rolls. The salad dressing provided a sweet taste and I liked the contrast between the soft scallop and sushi roll, compared with the crunchy flying fish roll.

Warning, this is super hot! The cheese came squirting out the moment I bit into it, but it tasted great. The rice cake was chewy and the cheese provided flavour for the otherwise bland rice cake. Wrap it around seaweed, and you've got yourself a nice crunchy exterior.

And whilst I'm normally not a huge fan of oysters, I actually quite enjoyed this because the flavours from the sauce masks some of the 'brimy' taste in the oyster. Of course, with the addition of sea urchin and flying fish roe, the combination of flavours were eclectic.

Remember what I said about unique ways to serve sea urchin? This has to be one of the most unique desserts I've ever had. The chef has incorporated salty uni into sweet ice cream, which is eccentric to say the least. The contrasting flavours complemented each other, and it's worth a try!

有喜歡食海膽的同事,發現了一間位於威靈頓街的S2 Kitchen,專用海膽製作美食,同事說要去試試,請我一同前去,有好嘢食,我當然奉陪!鎮店之寶,由第一位至第十位都寫曬出來,給客人參考。十層海膽杯:位列第一位的,又怎能不試?將食物在杯內砌成十層,有燒白飯魚脆片、黑魚子、北海道紫海膽、冲繩海葡萄、藍鳍吞拿拖羅蓉、三文魚籽、白蝦、松慕蟹肉、鮮海帶碎。海膽新鮮分量不少,入口即溶,味道鮮甜。其他配料鮮味又有口感。芝士年糕:上枱時熱騰騰,表面脆口,內裏煙韌,中間流心的芝士好好味。清酒鮑魚雞翼:雞翼去骨釀入鮑魚,金黃色的雞翼皮香肉嫩,鮑魚彈牙,味道帶酒香。海膽燒岩蠔:用沙律醬去燒的蠔好惹味,加左蟹籽有口感,蠔肉半熟,鮮味又滑溜。S2特色海膽火焰卷:用2隻碟,下面的載住酒,上面的載住海膽火焰卷,侍應用火槍點着酒精做成火焰,十幾秒後就自動熄滅了,卷物用料有:蛋、蟹柳、帆立貝、蟹籽和海膽,口感豐富又美味!雲海板上飄:用乾冰加水做成煙露就是雲海,板上的麵像在雲海上飄泊,用蒟蒻做成的麵條口感很爽,加上了海膽和黑松露,攪拌均勻,有海膽的鮮甜味,黑松露的香味。樂師傅海膽雪糕:用北海道牛乳加入海膽做成,不太甜,有

燒雞翼, 我自細鐘意食, 燒鮑魚雞翼, 就真係人生第一次食. 一見到佢上枱就真係非常興奮喇~!! 雞翼外層燒到微焦金黃, 入面釀 咗一隻細鮑魚仔. 講真我又無諗過雞翼同鮑魚可以夾埋一齊, 雞翼唔知係咪刻意醃咸少少, 配合番清清地嘅鮑魚, 估唔到又唔錯wo!

兩隻為食積, 兩款燒物同一個海膽杯又點夠食, 我哋仲叫咗個飽肚D嘅卷物.

Order咗個火焰卷, 我本身以為只係壽司上面嘅芝士有D火灸, 因此有個咁嘅名, 但原來並唔係咁簡單架! 上枱時侍應幫你會點火架, 我哋即刻拎相機出嚟捕捉, 個侍應仲好nice, 問我哋影唔影到, 影唔到可以再點火多一次! 講番個火焰卷, 雖然壽司餡料係蟹柳同玉子蛋, 唔算好特別, 但又係每一件壽司上面都有份量不少嘅海膽, 再加埋火灸芝士同蟹子, 真係好豐富. 其實我開始懷疑餐廳係咪有辦法入到平靚正嘅海膽, 如果唔係點解每一道菜D海膽都多到唔駛錢咁, 出手好闊綽?!!

最後唔食甜品又點得, 既然成晚都係海膽, 唔差在食埋海膽雪糕. 我都係人生第一次食海膽雪糕, 估唔到又係一堆海膽係雪糕上面! 初頭我以為係雲尼拿雪糕, 點知食落咸咸地嘅?! 細看之下原來海謄都係mix 咗入雪糕入面, 完全融為一體!!! 雖然我估唔到個甜品雪糕係咸咸地, 但感覺都幾特別 !!

When I first visited this place last time was 2 months ago, i loved it.  This time, I am taking my friend, who is a big fan of sea Urchin!  Truly he also liked the place which is cozy with cultural deco Japanese & HK local icon set up.  We tried the signature dish "Sea Urchin Cup" with 10 layers of different tastes, of course lots of Uni, smooth & fresh. Also we tried other very innovative Uni dishes;

One of their another signature dishes is a roll of imitation crab meat slobbered in mayonnaise on a heated platter - it is truly hideous.

Cheese fish cake, there was melty cheese inside. The texture was soft and chewy and stomach-filling. 

Baked oyster with sea urchin, The oyster was juicy with the cheese and sea urchin and fish roe , very delicious.

I loved the scallop with urchin and avocado salad , which is perfect combination of Taste in mouth, very fresh & soft scallop & smooth Uni.

Abalone and chicken wing: This was new to me, the chef stuffed the abalone with the chicken wing. There were two different types of texture;  The flavour was quite different as I could taste chicken flavour while eating the abalone.  Very creative dish!

Dessert: Urchin ice cream:  After eating so many urchin, but we still want urchin again and so ordered sea urchin ice cream for dessert. The ice cream was smooth home-made type  and had bits of urchin crumbs within. Of course a fresh taste of urchin is on the top!
