burgers and steaks, very common dishes: but the taste has brought some surprises.

tender and juicy, a medium well steak is out of my expectation. perhaps it's the good mood affecting my sense
anyway, it worths a try.

Burger is, however, a bit overcooked and the bun is not crispy enough, but the chips are well fried.

wine choices are how my friends usually use as an index to define whether it is a good restaurant. I don't know much about wine but my friends did found a good choice among the menu

美國威士忌味道不太濃烈,但有獨特橡樹香味,加了冰後,初學飲酒的女性飲都可以,加上慢慢在冰上融化的Caramel Snickers。酒的味道更越飲越甜,不錯。

這裡的 Cocktail 享負盛名,如此美景下也來一杯吧。侍者推介的 London Fogcutter ($140) 非常酷!非常別致的容器內,冧酒及軒尼斯VSOP干邑的味道都不明顯,飲下去以熱情果、檸檬及蘋果的果味為主,加上接骨木花的幽香,應該算是近年飲過最喜歡的雞尾酒!香港不像倫敦,沒霧,但藉這杯,向過去十多天沒有幫手的辛勞告別,Cheers!

另一款 Cedar River Beef Tartare ($140) 就很得老公歡心。牛肉他他拌上日式芥末 Aioli,清新得來又帶點攻鼻,很刺激;而同上的吐司改為牛肉乾,除令吃時肉味更濃,也為食客提供新吃法:將牛肉乾搗碎,混進有蛋黃香的牛肉他他,再加點新鮮青檸汁,滋味豐富討好!

去到買一送一的主菜,食肉獸的老公點了 Cedar River Rib Eye Steak Frites ($345)。大大份的肉眼火候不錯,外層微焦脆香口,中間嫣紅嫩滑而不見血水,淨食已經不錯;同上的幼薯條也香脆不油兼滿有薯香,加點香草更吸引,兩口子都吃個不停呢。

至於我,就一心衝著 The Lobster Mac & Cheese ($295) 來。龍蝦與芝士都是我心頭好,通心粉就是囡囡最愛。這由36個月風乾的 Parmesan 大芝士煮熱煮融出產的芝士通心粉,製作過程火光烘烘,效果也香濃美味,這晚就由媽媽代妹妹吃清光,向大廚致敬!

飲品選擇方面從來都是見仁見智,我不喜酒精味道,而這個Killing Me Softly十分易入口,味道偏甜,適合像我這些不太喝酒的人士。這杯飲品由幾款Sherry(雪利酒)調成,入口之際甜甜的,個人認為帶有櫻桃味,慢慢酒味才滲透出來。
杯子是顱骨形狀,飲品味道不太強烈,綜合來看也是挺有”Killing Me Softly”的意味。

Sure, is beef: ) This is Hickory Smoked Wagyu Flank Steak.

Hickory smoked foods are particularly popular in South American, This is my frist time try this cooking manner and the taste is very special. Using the first light farm natural beef, no hormone low fat can good for our health. The blue cheese salad has a strong flavor and is a bit tangy. Finally, I like Caesar Salad more.

Amazing dessert! Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie which is my highly recommend item in the dessert menu. The freshly baked cookie come in the hot pan and the top of cookie with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce. The cookie can keep warm with the hot pan. It gives surprising taste with the chocolate very creamy and cookie was softy. Is the best dish tonight.

A happy birthday dinner must includes laughter & free conversation. This is a perfect place for 9 people to talk freely & laugh freely......because it's quite noisy! The restaurant located at the 5th floor below the bar, the loud music from the bar covered our voice & indirectly concealed our conversationI used openrice to book the table & its convenient. I used openrice to book the table & its convenient. The services of the restaurant were good. Originally we thought the food was typical American but turned out to be sophisticated.

My lobster was just right & the meat remained tender. The sauce was creamy & tasted good.

Overall the atmosphere was nice & relaxing. Price was not exceptionally high for dinning at LKF. Just the bill for Sparkling Water ($540) was a little bit over when compared with one dozen of oyster ($465)! But talked freely with friends & laughed without hesitation was priceless!

服務方面,待應都好殷勤,每食完一轉食物,都換一套餐具,有Fine Dinning 既感覺。店內有情調有設計、地方大、坐得舒服,最欣賞係個Washroom………

Lily and bloom has been placed on my wish list for sometime. I finally decided to go for a try with my friend. Lily & Bloom is located at the heart of Lan Kwai Fong where it occupied the 5th & 6th floors of LKF Tower. Once we entered, restaurant is spacious with high ceiling. London Fogcutter
A nice presentation! The cocktail is contained in a specially designed cup with totem on it and the straw is made to be like a bamboo. Cocktail is a combination of bombay sapphire brugal 1888, hennessy vsop, elderflower, passion fruit, lemon and apple. It tastes mainly lemony with rich taste of fruits as well.

Grilled & Chilled Abalone
Abalones were roasted and cut into slices with cranberry miso, spicy yuzu vinaigrette and shiso. Abalone tastes a little sour and have a bouncy feel. Although abalone is not commonly found on western dishes, it is nicely done this time.

Whole Grilled Market Fish
The fish is bought every morning in the market to ensure freshness of it. It is grilled incense enough and meat is tender. One thing that impresses me is that the bone has already been removed from the fish so that we can eat it more easily. As a whole, it is better than what I expected.

The Lobster Mac & Cheese
This is another seafood dish we ordered. The lobster is placed on the top of the pasta cooked with Macaroni cheese. Pasta have rich tastes of cheese and wine in which I liked very much. Lobster meat are of good flavor.

Brioche Bread Pudding
Lastly, we come to try the dessert. The bread was in a golden brown colour with an ice-cream on it and the portion is just right for two persons. It is creamy and buttery. The ice-cream also added some sweet taste to it.

We have an enjoyable dining experience at Lily & Bloom this night. In additional to the high quality food provided, the service here was very efficient. The staffs are much helpful to us. Obviously, it is a nice place for gathering.

就坐後例牌喵一喵餐牌。以主打喝東西的酒吧餐廳來講,食物選擇已算是多的了....

很好笑的是坐於四周,穿得elegant異常的型男索女正在喝著飲料淡淡定暢談之際,我們這一檯市井到不得了的凡民卻在大吃特吃,滿檯都是食物像在吃快餐般
....

雖說我們來的主要目的是用餐,但來得這一類的餐廳,少下免還是需要來好幾杯的cocktail喝喝....

這裡調的雞尾酒大多是酒含量比果香濃重的,喝多兩口後也禁不住上腦令人飄飄然,話亦因而變得越多心情亦更放鬆。個人是較為喜愛相對上較易入喉,橙味比較濃烈的Rhubarb Smash;相反那杯"三顆葡萄"Three Grapes & a Cup則屬三杯中酒味最強最"cher"的,一呷入口就給人一種很濃苦十分之alcoholic,這可能是其內添加了vsop、celery bitters以及白酒三者混合有關吧;至於最後的London Fogcutter則介乎前兩者之間,喝下去時是能充份感受到熱情果、檸檬及蘋果的果味香之存在,但那苦瀝的aftertaste卻又讓人意識到成人口味的風韻....

只光喝酒的話,恐怕過不了一會就醉倒街頭了。此時若不馬上補充點食物的話,胃就可以受罪啦....

簡簡單單的幾片偏厚身,質地軟熟flatbread,醮醬的配搭以伴有小粒牛油果的羅勒以及sundried蕃茄組成。個人是較愛味帶點點稠而辛辣的後者,塗在包上食是惹味得令人咬個未停....

再來的是小小一份的龍蝦沙律....

用火燒炙過的龍蝦肉身外呈微焦但內仍雪白,肉質軟淰甜度足而鮮微帶糯口。愛彈牙質感的朋友好像對之不太滿意,但對追求鮮而甜度充份的我卻是持相反意見,最後樂於用行動表示的我就毫不客氣食多幾口;沙律方面是偏走向泰式風格的以青木瓜絲作主材料後再灑上花生及莞莤,味道鹹夾帶少少酸咪咪的令人蠻開胃的。此時心想,若然再加添多一點切碎指天椒下去增加惹辣度的話風味自當更佳....

另一道端來的,是風格截然不同,屬變奏版的beef tartare....

生牛肉粒本身非常新鮮,入口全沒帶一絲腥氣色澤艷紅也不見有血水滲出。肉質方面則夠軟嫩而沒見筋也不會食到一口渣令人難堪。墊底的醬汁以wasabi取代常見的法式他他醬。吃下去稍略嫌日式芥茉過份霸道的氣味及辛口有點兒破壞了牛肉的原味及鮮。個人還是覺得以味道相對上較溫和的他他或蛋黃醬最配合;Side dish方面以鹹而香脆的"牛肉乾"bresaola chip代替了常備,味plain得多的切片法包,這個安排就相當的有特色了....

Smoked salmon flatbread是另一味同是用上包類做的送酒前吃....

今次的這個flatbread是用上較薄身的似像在吃克力架片般,可惜的是口感有點偏濕淰了像"翻了潮"令人有點洩氣;三文魚不錯是挺嫩滑但煙燻味則稍覺薄弱。唯一畫龍點睛的一著便是最後灑上面的切粒鮮提子。其甜而多汁的特點可是令三文魚及flatbread本身起著一種提鮮及吊味的化學作用....

最後的這一道以大蘑菇做主角的appetizer,我是認為乃全場其一最佳的....

Portobello既多汁又甜味豐富,配合著香氣迫人的truffle vinaigrette再和置頂的經醬油醃漬過的日本長崎雞蛋黃混合,搗勻之後雖然賣相不佳但味道及口感卻集鹹、鮮、甜及滑於一身,著實是一味既健康又惹味清爽之作....

本來打算只叫三份主菜來給四人分食的,但此刻心想,既然一場來到,若不每人各佔據一份主食的話好像有點說不過去....

是日從市場買回來的像是我們平時經常碰到的馬友。掌勺的非常細心的將魚中間的那條大骨抽起,食起來啖啖肉的令一向不愛𠼱骨的太太邊食邊大讚;肉本身則非常纖細幼滑且有落足了底味,魚肉一點都不柴不韌亦夠晒入味而沒腥氣;醬汁上同樣用了這店慣常愛用的牛油果羅勒莎莎以及那幾片牛肉乾作伴菜,這相對上味道濃惹的配菜及醬和調味清淡簡單的魚肉可算是一對璧人來的....

HK Cioppino查實即乃美式的海鮮濃湯....

蕃茄湯底固之然呈淡紅甜香與鮮味並重滿載了海鮮的精華;至於海鮮的陣容當然也是鼎盛的 ---- 計有甜糯的大蝦、肉雖嬌小玲瓏但味鮮甜得厲害而沒沙的肥美青口及蜆、另外少不了的還有出奇地不見嚡柴仍保持著幼嫩狀態的三文魚。最後出場的則有肉呈一梳梳,鮮美不腥的蟹拑肉。此時將焗得香透的蒜茸芝士吐司浸在湯吃,實為此湯劃上一道完美的休止符....

在座的兩位牛魔王,一喵到接著上桌的這道牛面頰時,眼睛就馬上瞪得老大的....

牛頰肉炊煑得入口即化肉質超軟嫩夾滑溜異常,用刀輕輕一切毫不費力就能將之割斷,入口滿嘴香糯軟滑既沒牛的羶氣亦咬不著半點筋渣,配合旁邊帶些微酸的黑漆漆肉汁來吃可說是深慶得人;墊在牛面頰肉底的則是兩大片略燒炙過的牛舌。其質感同樣的十分軟淰亦沒有牛舌慣常存在的那份膻....不過小弟一向愛吃較爽脆的燒牛舌,故此縱使這大片灸得香噴噴的東西吸引力十足但仍最終未能得到小弟的青睞;另外舖於碟底的黑松露玉米糊也饒有特色,松露的香氣自然奪人心魄,這可是近來我嚐過最矝貴的"糊仔"了....

之前已在前菜嚐到了龍蝦了,料不到現在在主菜中又再與它相遇....

這道是唯一一味堂弄的菜式,其堂弄在於以一個用上三十六月熟成的Parmigiano Reggiano製成的大兜,及後將通粉伴入芝士撈勻後最終灑上干邑後點火上桌。通粉內芝士的香氣及味道自然十分濃郁突出但卻完全掩蓋不了干邑的那股烈苦味,個人認為是真的有些太over了,而且沾滿了芝士的通粉吃時下去也未免太"漏"不能多吃;至於龍蝦的肉質及口感味道都和前述的一般,分別乃在於肉的面層多了帶微微脆口而香氣濃重一點的羅勒麵包糠而已....

甜品若然都是每人一個的話似乎就太勉強了恐怕會製造廚餘。來三份給我們四個人分看來是最合理之選....

一道French crepe with salted caramel ice-cream & nuts,法式"薄撐"質地軟塔塔的邊位處理得未見香口甚平凡;旁邊的焦糖雪糕明符其實鹹得要緊,友人及太太對此都有點不太習慣....

這一杯雪糕新地和我們平時食開的有點不同 ---- 先是有慣常見到的呍呢嗱雪糕,但及後就配上了前面曾亮相過的焦糖雪糕,中間還插入了好像風馬牛不相及,從來沒想過會在新地中出現的香蕉雪芭,最後是灑上相對上濕軟味濃烈的朱古力brownie....整個配搭mix & match無論在口感以至texture上都極具創新多釆....

壓軸的Skillet chocolate chip cookie算是可得到一眾人認可的唯一一道....

將朱古力曲奇弄碎後加上hot budge sauce整成一個像朱古力餅般的物體,味道香濃之餘滲有點點粒粒的咬口,甜度方面可說甚強。配合著冰涼軟滑的雪糕來吃,怪下得轉眼便被搶購一空了....

是無論談以至吃都弄得人很累的一夜....不過這一種累及疲倦,是會讓人開懷不已的....

看上去同pizza沒大分別, 吃入口怎麼不是脆口的? 原來是用flatbread, 所以口感似面包. 而smoked salmon亦很淡口, 不會鹹鹹的, 不錯啊!

Back to Lily & Bloom again!! It's been days to find place to chill with friends and we did spend a great night here. Started with pita bread with dried tomato and avocado sauce, the taste of both were pretty nice, but dried tomato would be a better choice for me cause avocado sauce tasted a bit plain. The portion was quite large for two of us to taste tho the taste was really good. Salmon smoked well with some fresh grapes, four cheese and arugula. This was a simple but refreshing appetizers with flavour-filled flatbread. Smoked Salmon was not too salty while grapes gave a sweet flavour on top of it. Great Balance.

What an amazing combination of taste in this dish. A combination of marinated nagasaki egg yolk, truffle vinaigrette and pecorino gave a fantastic flavour. They matched so perfectly that we wanted to eat bite from bite till last piece. The wonderful smell of the truffle made me an unforgettable sensation.

The steak were quite good, thinly and tender. There was pink inside after sliced tho it was a bit plain. It would be better if some salt were added on top of the steak.

Quite heavy indeed but taste really good! It was a freshly baked cookie with some hot fudge sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The icecream melted quickly because of the remaining temperature of the freshly based cookie. Although the taste was quite sweety in the first bite, we continue to have second, third... bites till finished. It was a attracting and mouth watering dessert. The cookie baked so well that it was not sticked to the pan. Even it was heavy but definitely should try once.

It was a buttery and creamy bite. It had a lighter texture compared with the cookie. The bread was in a golden brown colour and has a quite nice flavoring. Not a dense taste but was quite good indeed.

A fine restaurant is not easy to find, often either too crowded and noisy or too expansive to dine, but here we are surprised to have discovered Lily in Central.Lily and Bloom are actually a restaurant and a bar located at different floors of the hotel. It may be a little bit noisy as the bar is just right above you which there is a big part with no ceilings/floor to saparate them apart. Here comes the starter - Beef Tartar with Jerky. Amazingly nice flavoured beef with a gentle breeze of wasabi from the creamy mustard. The smooth and pasty tartar mixing with some crispy jerky was a very great match.

Main dish is also with beef. The medium well cooked burger steak was covered by thick and strong tasted cheese. Juicy and tasty. The chips were however a little too oily - but acceptable.

We warmed up our palate with Char Broiled Miso Parmesan Oysters ($388). French oyster are so fresh that it shouts loudly itself. The East meet west feast started with the Pan Seared Foie Gras ($188) served with traditional Chinese dried tangerine peel that has lifted the freshness of the whole dish.

For mains, we had Five Spice Baby Back Ribs, with sweet soy ginger glaze,and pickled ginger slaw ($288). It's full of tropical flavour. Rubs are tend to be lean, full of flavours and tropical marinates.

The up coming dish "Grilled Natural Ribeye Lettuce Wrap ($383) has brought us to a tropical country. Scallion and ginger sauce was a highlight of the dish, bringing us amble flavour from the Orient. Pick a piece of lettuce and wrap the beef in perfect pink with some pickled carrots which we couldn't stop salivating over ; simple yet scrumptious.

It’s good to see Lily & Bloom fusion steak with Vietnamese style wrap; but it was not a great thing we were hoping for, when we saw the overly finely cut lettuce in rectangle shape mainly for solely visual enjoyment; the remainings were all gone. Other than that, everything is fine.

We were all surprised by the Local Seafood Carbonara- with fresh uni, lightly grilled abalone and Chinese smoked oyster ($388).That sounds odd in the combination of ingredients, yet each hand made papadelle pasta was perfectly plumped by the seafood broth, embellished with Chinese dried seafood and the fresh urchin. We were impressed!

Our meal concluded with Iberico Pork Wonton in olden Broth ($168) that combined Classic chinese wonton soup with spanish delights. Chicken broth was cooked with Spanish Iberico ham, that exudes a stronger aroma and flavour thanks to the bigger portion of fat while the thin dumpling skin encased juicy pork filling that was a beautiful balance of soft and savoury in every bite.

Our meal concluded with Cream Brulee ($83) topped with mango, pomelo and mandarin orange ($83). Creamy and hot; contrasting with the crispy top and the refreshing fruits on top.
Verdict:
With all these restaurants popping up built on traditional and classic food, it’s refreshing to see one that master fine dining skills yet focuses on creative oriental fusion that you seldom see in Hong Kong. A restaurant that is full of surprise. Worth encore!

Smoked Salmon Flatbread賣相精緻, 食物擺放也十分整齊, 挺公整的. 份量以一個頭盤來講, 是足夠的, 份量剛剛好, 不會說食完已飽. 口感挺特別, 薄麵包配上兩款獨特的醬汁 (千島醬和橄欖油), 感覺新鮮. 味道很好, 以淡味的麵包和偏濃味的醬汁, 有助醒胃.

The Lobster Mac & Cheese賣相挺精緻,通粉放在下面, 而龍蝦則輕放在通粉上面. 味道十分好, 芝士味道濃郁, 配上易上味的通粉, 感覺一流, 而且火候注意得很好, 能夠保持龍蝦的鮮味. 而且很有特色, 廚師會在食客附近煮, 先燒熱一個容器, 再放上芝士鍋上, 令芝士溶化, 放入通粉煮, 讓通粉更入味, 食材主要以風乾36個月的帕爾馬芝士作為醬汁, 半隻波士頓龍蝦, 通粉和其他三款芝士.
整體而言, 雖然價錢較高, 但物超所值, 性價比高, 而且位於中環, 十分方便.
