Lily & Bloom is a two floor American bar and restaurant located in Lan Kwai Fong. We choose to have our dinner on 5th floor. Once we enter Lily, the bar is on the left and we were led to the sofa at the end. The restaurant is not that big, but the ceiling height is high, create a sense of space. As we were not sure what to order, we asked for recommendations. The waitress was so nice that she recommended different signature dishes. At last, we chose a seafood cuisine. We ordered Beef Tartare as appetizer, Lobster Thermidor, HK Cioppino as main course, and a cocktail “Three Grapes And A Cup”. The cocktail was not that strong. There was ginger and white wine. I could accept it even I do not like ginger. It was a great match with the seafood.

We first had the Beef Tartare. I was afraid of raw meat but the delicate dish didn’t look that horrible. I was really impressed by the Beef Tartare. It was not tough and precise. It wasn’t stink and it tasted as fresh as sashimi. It is really a good first experience.

Second, we had the HK Cioppino and the Lobster Thermidor. What I like the most were the cheese toast and the cheese on the lobster. It was cheesy but not greasy. The lobster soup of the HK Cioppino was rich, it was a great match with the cheesy toast. The seafood in the Cioppino was fresh and clean, but the lobster clam was a bit overcooked, it might be suitable for someone who like soft food.

Lastly, the waitress recommend us to have a dessert and I picked the Skillet Chocolate Cookie Chip, served with vanilla ice cream. The cookie was a homemade one which was pretty sweet. Balanced with vanilla ice cream, it tasted just right. It was not that heavy and it was a great end of my dinner.

Overall, I enjoyed a great night in Lily & Bloom. The atmosphere was quiet and private. I felt relax throughout the night. The service was efficient and the waitresses were nice. They helped to refill the glass of water and clean up once we had finish the dish. The food tasted great and the amount was satisfactory. It was a great experience.

一間好特別既多國菜,有朋友係樓下蘭桂芳酒店度返工,所以之前都有黎過呢度,但就冇食過呢間餐廳。黎之前有book枱,到左之後發現原來2層係分左1層係lily;1層係bloom。我地去個層就叫bloom,環境比較昏暗有情調哈哈好彩waitress俾左個比較光既位我地,如果唔係真係好難見到d野食叫完野食之後,店員先送上幾塊餐前包包,有d似印度薄餅咁側邊配左2種醬,橙黃色個隻係mustard,但其實食落冇咩味反而配牛酒果sauce幾green,雖然食緊薄餅但又冇咁飽滯感他他牛係全生,上面有一隻細細粒既蛋黃雖然牛係全生,但食落一d血腥味都冇,而且好軟好soft,口感一流側邊既係風乾左既牛肉,做得好薄。點左醬之後食,原本以為會好乾又硬,點知原來一d都唔覺得乾,而且好脆,可以當係零食咁食野飲終於都到,叫左cocktail,倒出黎好靚,用茶杯飲cocktail黎講都係第一次入面有少少vodka,但酒味都比較淡,有少少橘味,而且入面太多冰,所以好快就飲哂燒鮑魚!側邊擺左好多粒石仔,但作用係…冇燒完既鮑魚可以成粒就咁擺入口,啖啖肉好咬口又惹味290蚊呢條魚,但係就原條好大條,綠色個pat都係牛油果sauce

這條魚相當驚喜,兩旁的醬汁也是自家調配,惹味非常,想說一下這條魚,看似相當完整,由頭連尾,但其他魚的骨已處理掉,基本上夾的每一下都是魚肉,無需要怕吃到魚骨,相當細心,這個價錢可以吃到一條新鮮且已起魚骨的魚相當化算呢,魚肉鮮味,肉質嫩滑,入口便在口慢慢溶化,高質素。

放在鍋上看似熱香餅之類的東西,實是一塊大的曲奇,上面加上Sauce,上枱後加上一大球Vanilla雪糕(是怕先加雪糕會很快溶掉吧),曲奇剛焗起熱食,帶點外脆內軟,配以冷冰冰的雪糕,衝擊很大,冰火交融之際又品嚐到軟心朱古力曲奇的香甜。

Freshly baked cookie with hot fudge sauce, soft and rich chocolate taste. It was so sweet! Ate together with vanilla ice cream, both cold and warm contrast at the same time. Really nice! We believed that it was great if paired with after dinner cocktail. Let's try it next time!

Obviously very nice place to end the evening!

A slice bread baked to crispy with applied some cheeses and then spread the smoked salmon on that. Moreover, there are arugula and fresh sweet grapes on top of smoked salmon. It seems like a pizza and very good taste.

This is a traditional seafood stew with tomato soup and seafood in addition which are shrimp, mussels, large clams and crab claws. The crab claws is very tender and sweet and soup is very fragrant. There is also a crustly cheesy garlic bread which is crispy and delicious due to much of garlic cheese.

Cookie stuff on a frying pan with a vanilla ice-cream on top, taste quite sweet. And there are a lot of chocolate chips in the middle of cookie. Also it baked a bit hard which seem a big chocolate cookie. Taste is delicious and will let you have a wish to reorder.

一般的牛肉他他只是一堆絞碎的生牛肉, 這個多了三塊像肉乾的東西. 據侍應說, 那三塊肉乾是真正的"牛肉乾"! 吃的時候可以先弄碎牛肉乾片, 再與牛肉他他拌勻同吃; 另外也可以將牛肉他他放在肉乾上同吃. 兩種吃法, 各有特色, 俱可品嗜到牛肉他他的嫩滑, 完全沒有生牛肉血淋淋的感覺, 不錯.

這個海鮮湯的賣相挺吸引, 有蟹,三文魚,蜆,青口, 蝦等等,還有一片芝士蒜蓉包! 
麵包入口香脆, 加上溶化的芝士, 即使蒜蓉味不重, 也甚美味.
海鮮湯因為有蝦頭的關係, 所以鮮味很濃但又不太杰; 湯的味道偏辣, 底部有些米飯, 好像中式的湯飯一樣. 海鮮味道大致不俗, 味道鮮甜.

一大塊的朱古力曲奇, 配上雲呢嗱雪糕. 曲奇是美式做法, 較腍身, 像Aunt Stella's 的出品, 味道很甜. 就算有雲呢嗱味道濃郁的雲呢嗱雪糕雪糕同吃, 依然感到很膩滯. 這個對我倆來說太heavy了, 還是脆身的英式曲奇較合口味.

整晚的食物水準大都充滿驚喜, 侍應的服務也算殷勤. 美酒佳餚, 把酒談歡, 人生幾何?

Lily and bloom has always been on my wishlist of restaurants to try. Thank you my love for the great suprise. It was a wonderful night and pleasant experience. As expected, there are no many choices but good enough for us. The dishes they provided are really attractive.I chose the bloom ceaser for appetizer. I chose the bloom ceaser for appetizer. It was totally unexpected delicious . A good meal to try before the main act. The taste of esplette caesar dressing is unique , if u like caesar , u may try it once for a lifetime.Move onto the main act , I mainly focused on the steak frites. I am fans of rib eyes so I did have a expectation on the steak. I was little shocked of the quality of the steak. It delivered well at the exact level of doneness that I requested. You barely need other sauces for the steak since it is enjoyable and delicious enough. For the spiced fries with house daikon sauce , the fries were very aromatic and well- seasoned , the sauce is exactly the perfect match with the fries.Although I was already full when I had finished the steak. The presentation of the dessert , the Ultimate Icecream Sundae, captivated me. The salted caramel ice cream complemented the vanilla Icecream nicely and the chocolate cookie crumble exactly suits my tastebuds.
If anyone want a celebration dinner or anniversary , Lily and Blooms must be a place you won't be disappointed.

到了一星期的中間位置, 往往是最疲累的, 經過數天的拼搏, 但還有兩三天才到週末休假, 人也特別沒精打采, 放工後相約好友來LKF喝一杯, 來傾吐工作的辛酸, 有點餓了, 便找找附近有什麼好吃的, 來填慰一下空虛的心靈。來到LKF TOWER 5樓LILY & BLOOM, 被這燭光及燈光相對的設計震攝, 整個環境很浪漫又很有氣氛。座位是皮SOFA, 加上木製的桌椅, 仿水泥磚砌出的牆身, 彷如置身美國餐館當中。在這大型吊燈下晚餐, 因食客多較豪邁, 說話比較大聲, 所以不如想像般寧靜浪漫。樓底甚高, 令人感到舒適, 有空間感, 上層是酒吧的部分, 也蠻熱鬧的。先來杯青檸味的sparkling water, 有汽的水, 加上一小片青檸, 就是好喝很多, 令不愛喝水的我都喜歡上了。Gilled & Chilled Abalone $145把兩隻鮑魚煮熟切薄片調味, 再放回鮑魚殼裡上菜, 再放上紫蘇葉裝飾。 小片小片的, 適合淑女們斯文的吃, 鮑魚質感煙靭, 調配了曼越莓麵豉麵、柚子醬及醋等, 是從未接觸的味道, 新穎過癮。Smoked Salmon Flatbread $125薄薄的麵包

龍蝦甚具份量, 忘了有多少沒吃這麼大隻的龍蝦, 大廚將龍蝦起肉切開一件件, 再放回龍蝦身上, 可以很方便優雅的吃, 也不擔心會被偷龍轉鳳, 一看就知道此殼配此肉是剛剛好, 而且龍蝦肉質鮮嫩甜美, 是十分新鮮的味道, 海鮮, 就是最不能騙人的了, 一吃就知道新鮮與否。

用上了本地的新鮮海鮮來製作, 包括蟹、大蜆、青口、大蝦等, 配上特大片的芝士蒜蓉麵包, 海鮮全浸在蕃茄湯內, 湯的最底有些珍珠米飯, 就像吃湯飯一般。很欣賞那蕃茄十分鮮甜, 該用了一些海鮮同煮, 及新鮮蕃茄熬製而成。

曲奇餡料放在煎pan上焗成曲奇, 味道頗甜, 放了很多朱古力料在曲奇中心位置, 口感硬脆, 喜歡朱古力的我一試便愛上了。

一頓美味的晚餐, 以甜品作結, 吃完仍有甜絲絲的感覺。吃和喝從來都是放縱, 不僅對身體如是, 對錢包亦是, 但以餐廳的位置及格調, 其價位比我想像中低, 普通的打工仔, 亦偶爾能夠負擔, 每每品嚐到前所未遇的好滋味, 都令人找到生命意義所在。

The Lobster Mac and Cheese。大廚把餐車推出來,直接在客人面前烹調通心粉,再把煮好的通心粉倒進巨型芝士內再攪拌,最後灑點香草和龍蝦肉便成。通心粉的芝士非常濃郁,味道帶酒香,另龍蝦亦鮮味不已,不過一個人吃一份真的有點漏,幾個人分享便剛剛好。

最後兩款甜品的焗麵包布丁和朱古力布朗尼都有水準,布丁軟滑而布朗尼的香味濃郁,雖然大家都已很飽,但也吃了自己的一份才停下。

喜歡這裡的氣氛和環境,不過份嘈吵之中,食物質素亦不錯,又供應不少含酒精的特色飲料,要是來這裡吃晚飯的話,吃罷也不用轉場而繼續留下談天喝點酒,十分寫意。

i have not been to LKF for a very long time.  This time, I have had a gathering with my friend and he has booked a table in Lily & Bloom.  I hoped this dinner will not turn me down.This high-ceiling American style restaurant was classy and relaxed, with wine glasses were hung up as decorations in the center of the restaurant. This high-ceiling American style restaurant was classy and relaxed, with wine glasses were hung up as decorations in the center of the restaurant. Having a dim light and cozy decorations, it made the customers as if in a classic mansion. The relaxing environment in the restaurant provided a nice environment for friends to gather for some small talks after work or school. The restaurant has divided into two parts. The 5th floor is Bloom, which is an American chophouse for dining, while the 6th floor is Lily, which is a bar for drinks.

When we have reached the restaurant, we could clearly see its logo on the wall, which helped customers to note that they have already arrived the restaurant. Also, the dim light in the door front provided customers a sense of romance and mysterious, especially with classy and modern decorations.   The tables in the restaurant was quite spacious that they were not closely packed together. It created great comfort to the customers.

We have chosen the smocked salmon flatbread. When the food was served, we could see the flatbread was covered with a lot of smocked salmon (the salmon nearly covered the whole flatbread) and arugula. Being a salmon lover, the food was appealing in no doubt. The size of the Smocked Salmon Flatbread was suitable for around two to four people. It was of moderate temperature that was neither too hot or cold to be served. When the flatbread was first served, the crispy flatbread undoubtedly was the first to catch your attention. The salmon, on the other hand, was smooth and soft, which helped blend with the crunchy flatbread. The taste of the salmon was fresh and it is just well-smocked. Together with arugula and fresh grapes covered on top of salmon, it made the whole flatbread to become fresher and less meaty. At first, I thought the smocked salmon flatbread would only have a limited amount of salmon on it. However, when the dish was served, it was totally different from what I have imaged that there was a lot of salmon! I was so much impressed indeed.

The dish is a tomato soup that contained a variety of seafood, such as clam, crab, salmon, mussels and shrimp etc. A cheesy garlic bread was served in the dish as well. When the food was served, we can already smell of fragrance of rich tomato sauce, which is very appetizing. The Cioppino was delivered when it was first cooked. So, it was quite hot and it felt especially good when it was in winter.The seafood was well cooked that all of them were not over-cooked. Therefore, it was not too rubbery but tender and smooth.The garlic bread was very rich in cheese, that matched with the taste of garlic a lot. The soup was well seasoned that could help bring the freshness of the seafood. Specifically, I love the crab in the dish, which is not over-cooked and that it tasted sweet, tender and juicy.

Overall speaking, the environment and decoration of the restaurant impressed me most. To be honest, when comparing with other western food, my inclination was never towards the Americans as I thought American food was not as delicate as other western food, such as the French one. However, this restaurant was totally different from what I have believed. With elegant environment, friendly staffs and great variety of mouthwatering cuisines in the restaurant, I believe it would be a good choice for people who would like to have fine dining, especially before chilling with friends in LKF.

The restaurant is located on the 6th floor of the LKF tower. When arriving the tower, it quickly come to our mind that the dinner me and my partner are getting tonight is no fool-around dishes. We entered the building from a high class hotel entrance, and once the lift arrived the restaurant floor, there was this gorgeous marble statue of a saint deer. Turning to the left, there was the restaurant’s entrance. The entrance was dim lighted, giving the guests a mysterious yet luxurious sense, attracting customer to enter.

The restaurant was no ordinary American style restaurant, but one with quite a high class touch on it. From the well placed utensils, to the little candlelight on the tables, to the brilliant interior design of the restaurant, these elements simply help the customers quickly get relaxed to have the finest dinner with their dearest in a wonderful evening.

The overall lighting of the restaurant was not the brightest, if not dim in the sense that we could barely see the food on the table. However, the dim environment was great in the way that it ups the relaxing feel. With little candle on each desks, made the dinner the perfect romantic candlelit dinner ever.

The interior of the restaurant was well designed. The restaurant has two floors, the dining area “Bloom” was on the lower floor and the bar “Lilly” was on the upper floor. The restaurant was quite big and the ceiling height was high, made the space seemed even bigger.

The attendance rate was satisfactory for a high end restaurant. By 8pm, the restaurant was already more than half filled.

Overall speaking, the restaurant gave us a great high class and vintage feeling. The dining environment was pleasant with the foil of the romantic candlelit dinner and the beautiful Central night view. The restaurant attracts people from different walks of life, for instance, office ladies, office men, foreigners or couples. In which I think that the place was really a good relaxing place for a chilling night chat with your dearest mate.

The waiters’ and waitress’ attitude were all quite well. They were kind when asked to do any service. Moreover, they were kind enough to inform us the dishes’ names and how customers were encouraged to eat each dishes. Overall speaking, they are quick to response. In addition, the food serving rate were spot on, making the eating experience great. Waiters often come to the desk and ask the customer about the quality of the food served, making sure the customers are satisfied with the dishes. All waiters and waitress were wearing shirts, making them look professional and smart, which was always great when knowing that your food is in the pro’s hand.

The menu was all in English, in which this could be difficult for non-native English speaker to read and understand. Maybe a spare Chinese menu upon request in the future?

Coming to the food part. The appetizer was Bread and Dip and my drink of the night was Three Grapes and A Cup.

The bread were a bit dry and hard, in addition, it requires a bit of chewing work to do when eating. The two sauce for the bread however were quite nice, the combined taste of the bread and the dip were satisfactory.

The brandy of the 3 Grasp was quite strong, (a bit too much for my partner). However, I think it’s quite the match for a man’s chilling evening dinner. As shown by the name, the bar tender used three different colored grasp for the wine. And the grasps were all fresh and sweet. The wine and the three grasp were all icy cold. I was fascinated by the grasps in particular, in which the sweetness of the grasps in combination with the cold outer layer were an instant delicious hit in my mouth. Amazing.

Overall, the appetizer and drink were all nice. The dip for the bread were well made, and the brandy and grasps were quite a match as well.

For the main course, we ordered the Cedar River Beef Tartare and Portobello Carpaccio.

Fristly, The plating for the dishes were all well done. The dishes looked colorful and attractive. To be honest, I personally felt that the ordered chaos on the two dishes were indeed spot on.

For the Beef Tartare, the beef was raw but very palatable. The meat was very soft and easy the chew. In second layer, seconds after putting the tartare into your mouth, it incidentally melt within your mouth making the taste very remarkable. By mixing wasabi and the egg together with the Tartare, it added a bit more kicks on the meat itself, making the combination of taste a great enjoyment. For the Tartare, the beef was in bright red color, which shown that the meat was very fresh. When it was as fresh as like this, you knew it’s full of protein and energy. This was the first time I have a Beef Tartare, before, I was concerned about the rawness and smell of the uncooked beef. However, I finally made up my mind to try my first Tartare in this restaurant, hoping that it won’t let me down, and thankfully the dish literally blow my mind, easily making it my new favorite dish.

Secondly for the Portobello Carpaccio, the mushrooms were quite raw as well, but its texture were very tender and easy to eat. For the Portobello Carpaccio, the mushrooms were also very fresh and clean.

Finally, coming to dessert, we have the Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookies as the final cloesing dish.

The Chocolate Chip Cookies was very warm when served on. Together with the Vanilla ice-cream, this was like the combination of ice and fire. The Chocolate cookies were very delicious. The cookies were very sweet if not too sweet. The cookies were baked till nearly scorched, which gave the cookies just that little bit more fragrant on it. Together with the Vanilla ice-cream, it made a great finishing touch to this wonderful dinner. Overall speaking, I am quite impressed by this final desert. Although it’s a bit sweeter than what I preferred, but I think the taste is very nice.

In conclusion, this restaurant to me is quite a well-developed high class American restaurant with a great variety of delicious food choices. In addition, I am impressed by the idea of this restaurant bar, and the relaxation it gives to its consumer. Although the price for food here isn’t the friendliest, but given the high quality dishes it provides, I believe it’s more than worthy. If you are a man who would like to impress your girlfriend on a date with your taste of picking up high-end restaurant, this is definitely a go to choice I recommend. Impressive.

This cocktail is a mixture of white wine and VSOP. Besides, ginger is added so it has a stronger taste of alcohol. What makes it special is the three grapes on the top. There are three different of grapes, green, purple(the most common one in the market) and black. The grapes are frozen and if you eat it separately, it is still juicy. By grapes mixing with the cocktail, the taste is a bit sweet and refreshing.

For food, Some of them are quite unique. For example, the Old Fashioned Bloom Berger consists of dry aged wagyu beef patty, aioli, bacon and cheddar. Mixed with some other sauces, the taste of it is good. The beef is not too dry and the taste of beef and other ingredients are perfectly matched.

Also, the fries of this restaurant are tasty. Unlike the usual one, they are all hand cut and not too oily.

It has been a long time I didn’t write review. I start to write because of this special restaurant. In Central, among the high class restaurants, Lily & Bloom can stand out of them.
题外话/补充资料: Valentine's day is coming! I think this restaurant will be a nice place for the couples to have their dinner. However, please make a reservation in advance!
