同相公結婚半週年, 在繁忙的日子裏都要找一晚來浪漫一下.來到這間Lily & Bloom, 分成5 樓及6樓, 5 樓是餐廳而6樓就是酒吧, 雖然我地在5樓吃飯, 但在5 樓見到這個6 樓Balcony 設計頗特別, 所以都上去八卦一下 既然有酒吧, 這裏的酒精類飲品都有特別Signature Drink – 就好似我這個 Pyrat’s Breakfast (HKD140) , 以Pyrat XO,Wray&Nephew, Marmalade, lemon grapefruit, egg white 同Crème brulee 調成的Cocktail, 比較清新, 酒精度不太高 (應該是吧? 最少我不覺得 ) 好有Tropical Rain Forest 的感覺CharcuterieBoard (HKD195), 有黑毛豬, 24月帕爾馬火腿, 及風干牛肉片, 加上意大利綿羊芝士, 風干牛肉片還是帶有濃濃的牛肉味道之餘, 肉質都保持牛肉的肌理質感而乾身; 24月帕爾馬火腿有幾甘甜味, 鹹味適中, 而黑毛豬就相對比較乾身薄切, 而且帶有煙燻的味道FreshUni Toastada

The Lobster Mac & Cheese (HKD295) , 而陣年36個月芝士 Parmigiano Reggiano , 即燒即溶, 其芝士的味道香濃之餘底蘊更可以嘗到年月陳香的味道, 配上干邑, 香料等於這原隻龍蝦通粉, 立刻將龍蝦的味道升價十倍之餘, 也令這個龍蝦通粉變得更為濃香.

L&B made it special by using an assortment of local market seafood. The stew was bursting with flavor and the seafood was so fresh and cooked to perfection! An authentic San Francisco seafood stew. L&B made it special by using an assortment of local market seafood. The stew was bursting with flavor and the seafood was so fresh and cooked to perfection! And I just love that piece of crunchy, cheesy and garlicky bread on the top of the stew, it soaks up all of that goodness!

With strong brandy taste, quite suitable for alcoholic.
If you think the taste of alcohol is too heavy, you can wait until ice melted.

Feeling surprised when waiter served this dish to our table. What we imagined is some salmon put above few piece of flatbread, but the fact is, it's made like a PIZZA!

Flatbread was baked to be crispy, and in normal temperature,neither hot nor cold. it's covered with four type of cheese, smoked salmon, rocket vegetables and grape.
There are few difference tastes, smoked salmon salty with soft texture, the four kinds of cheese with a fragrant taste and grapes are sweet.

We waited for this dessert for about 15-20minutes and it worths!
The cookie was not cripsy, texture like Mrs Fields' soft cookies, very hot.
With chocolate sauce and cameral ice cream on it, felt hot and cold every bite.
However, a little bit over-sweet for this dessert I think.

High recommend Lily & bloom to all couples due to its romantic atmosphere surround.

The first one was a traditional seafood stew with tomato soup using a variety of local market seafood, which includes crab claws, mussels, clams, shrimp, salmon, rice and also a piece of cheesy garlic bread.

When the waiter served the food, we smelled that appetizing fragrance already. All seafood were well-cooked. The crab claws are sweet, smooth and juicy. The large cheesy garlic bread was really very CHEESY that perfect matched with the soup. Mussels was relatively small, but the meat is surprisingly smooth with slightly sweet taste. The soup was of rich tomato sause and a little bit spicy. I appreciate it very much!

This salad contains with an original Boston lobster with shell. It was baked until fry, meat was fresh and elastic. The green papaya salad as raw and crisp taste, which lightly seasoned with tomato sauce. It's appetizing.

High recommend this Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie. The cookie baked on a frying pan, taste quite sweet, crispy outside and soft inside. With chocolate sauce and ice cream on top of it which can balance the sweet of cookie, therefore, it should be eaten together and you will feel it amazing!

After ordering our set dinner dishes, we are served with the bread and dip.
There are two dips, one in green colour and one in orange colour.
The green one is avocado vanilla favour, while the orange one we estimated that should be mixed of carrot or tomato or eggyolk? Both taste good! The bread is soft and chewy, but must be finished before it gets cool, otherwise the texture will become hard.

When having western cuisine, this is a must to order a cocktail, instead of just drinking water or softdrinks. I ordered a featured cocktail called "Rhubarb Smash". It contains zucca, cocchi rosso, cinnamon syrup, lemon, orange and mint. Full of ice top on the cup, taste quite sweet.

Main course for today, we chose Hickory Smoked Wagyu Flank Steak, using the first light farm natural beef, served with blue cheese salad and crispy onions.
For this dishes, I love crispy onions the most, just cannot stop eating it lol.
But for the blue cheese salad, well..after trying one piece of it, I left all to my friend.
With strong favor and a little bit tangy. I prefer some original salad much more.
The beef is cooked in medium well, it's tender and juicy.

Love is a sweet lily which bloom luxuriantly.

或許因為帶着愛,所以這所餐廳,才冠名Lily & Bloom. Lily是上層酒吧閒談的地方,Bloom是下層用餐場所。她亦如其優雅的名字,被蘭桂坊的聚人和我,所喜愛着,正是「紫陌紅塵拂面來,無人不道看花回」,而這花,就是Lily。每個人的心中,我想都有他們所猜度的,Lily and how it blooms.

餐廳的木材裝潢和復古的設計,以蘭桂坊的夜作為主調,用上打通五六層高樓底的優勢吊上氣勢恢宏的大吊燈,昏黃的燈光點綴着每朵百合含苞待放的浪漫,温暖而洋溢着活力,就像老曼哈頓的環境般。映入眼簾中,最觸目的必定是店內由玻璃杯環繞成半圓的沙發座,淡淡的歲月勾劃出來的斑斕,都融化在羅曼蒂克的華麗裡。

Mediterranean Seafood Salad
red snapper, clams, black olive, pimientos, smoked paprika
點好餐,輕量的沙律杯為脾胃掀起序幕。切粒的紅𩶘魚和蜆肉,添加了鮮味和口感,沙律的份量甚至和魚肉和蜆肉同量,餐廳的沙律醬薄薄的一層在面,幾口嘗畢,加上了煙紅椒粉(外國廚師幾乎動不動就用上),令清爽的味道裡帶了點餘韻的辛辣,一抹即逝,令這道沙律的層次表達上更為豐沛。

Ecacille d’ Argent Oyster and Skookum Inlet
令人驚喜的是,這裡的生蠔就是All you can eat而且都不是自助餐上的便宜貨,這晚是來自法國的Ecacille d’ Argent Oyster和美國的Skookum Inlet,都是有品質的蠔種。法國的Gillardeau聽得多,勝在其甜度和海水味的平衡,而這款Ecacille則是08年的法國生蠔金獎,海水味重幾乎在嚥下後才會感受到甜味,餘韻極長;Skookum Inlet則是甜度極高的蠔種,與前者是截然不同的口味,而帶有點清香,礦物味亦較重,體積比較細少而無 Ecacille的飽滿,相片上應詤很容易分出來的。
餐廳先預上了每人三只,但可以再添加,非常新鮮,你不會只吃上三口吧?千萬不要加茄醬,千萬不要,那會破壞整只蠔的味道,最多幾滴檸檬汁,最好還是用口碰上蠔肉表面,把所有一起啜進去。

New Orleans Prawn Cocktail

一提到新奧爾良風,幾乎都缺少不了Creole Seasoning,這是一種混和調味粉,主要用上紅椒粉、牛至、百里香、黑胡椒粒等等不同調味混合而成,非常惹味。再加上多一點Paprika、牛油和蒜頭,煮成這非常出色的蝦杯,香辣濃郁,已經完全是主菜級別的濃度,是晚我幾乎最喜歡的菜式,連手指頭也啜得一乾二淨,不過第一次和第二次添加的蝦肉在調味醬汁的量上完全不同(見上下兩圖),或者在攪拌上餐廳該花多一些心思。

Marinated Mussels

青口卻倒是一般,沒有太出色的調味,只是以一些檸檬紅椒醃製,微微甜酸,鮮度亦相當不俗,最少沒有我小時候印象中的那種硬質化,但彈牙程度上還是差了一點,煮得微微過了點火,味道不算足,這也是我唯一沒有添加的前菜,無甚驚喜。

Old Fashioned Bloomburger

dry aged Wagyu beef, truffle aioli, aged cheddar, bacon and fries
這道漢堡用上了乾式熟成的和牛,本身漢堡仍是平民式的食材,高級餐廳把她放上大雅之堂後,人漸漸對漢堡的要求也越來越高,孰好孰壞,待歷史來見證,我們食貨的人生只管吃。和牛的油脂舉世無雙,但牛肉味始終不如美國的牛種,但這評價實在有點雞蛋裡挑骨頭,這道菜無論是經過微烤而鬆化的外皮、或是車打芝士濃郁的量和質以及醬汁的調配完成度都很高,肉質粉紅透徹。

我不太喜歡漢堡的千變萬化,我崇尚傳統和經典,把最恆久的配搭,每一樣每一樣,推到最高,做到最好。
這裡醮薯條的不是茄汁,是茄汁和一種辣醬的混和,我還嘗不出是什麼,但很是好吃。

Fried Chicken & Waffle

pasture raised chicken, maple and cheddar waffle, honey mustard gravy
Lily&Bloom這道炸雞我就真的不敢苟同了,或許是這裡的廚師不太懂炸法,整件炸雞非常油膩,雞皮表面有些微過焦現象,離罩而且太硬,而且調味真的不好,連蜜糖芥末醬我亦覺得那種半透明的醬汁和雞肉味道實在合不來,唯獨雞肉鮮嫩多汁才稍勉力挽回了一些分數。
窩夫也是很讓人失望,幾乎是不能接受的失格,比之美式窩夫該有的鬆軟,這份窩夫來得太過厚實、硬度過高,幾乎找不到優點。

Lily&Bloom什麼都好,就在炸功方面看來還有很長的路要走,所以盡量不要叫太多炸物,星期二來建議叫上另一道House Classic Ragu Bolognese,看到旁邊那枱的模樣,垂涎欲滴。

Roasted Iberico Pork Chop $325

BBQ ribs, braised red wine cabbage, sage marmalade
在A la carte上,我覺得Lily and Bloom演繹得更好,我對BBQ Ribs有所偏好,配上半份豬扒,必備的捲心菜,就成了這一道價格逼近Rib Eye的美食,但相對起來,我更喜歡這道菜的味道。西班牙黑毛豬輕烤至七八成熟,中間粉嫰的味道比起半熟的牛扒更有吸引力,塗上一層橘子醬汁,連那最後的肥膩都蕩然無存,鬆軟入味,淡淡的橡果香證明着其飼養的要求,極之好吃;Ribs亦做得異常美味,看似厚稠的燒醬完全沒有蓋過豬肋骨的煙薰味,近來我最喜愛Ribs的Restoration竟然關門大吉讓我失望不已,只能在這裡找回其味道的一二。

如果你問我,在Lily & Bloom有什麼是一定要吃的,我會回答是Mac & Cheese。Macaroni and cheese是一款極為簡單的菜式,只要你撇除她的卡路里,幾乎很難不鍾情。牛油、麵粉、牛奶、芝士、意粉幾乎就是這樣,只要注意保持攪拌和起焦就好。但Lily&Bloom所用的芝士,幾乎都是濃味的頂級之作,由三四種不同的芝士調製,味道錯縱複雜,表演出很強而帶衝擊性的香濃芝士味,而這道就是signature dish的Lobster Mac & Cheese,連帶上半只龍蝦和配上了龍蝦湯汁,薄薄的酒味又令其味道再昇華。

店家也許亦自豪於自身的Mac & Cheese,那時更安排了Mac Attack這個系列,只要付上$188就可以嘗其五款不同菜式中的一款,可惜的是優惠已完結,但我相信店家不會讓她埋沒的!

400 days grain fed all natural beef, house daikon steak sauce, house ketchup
要上了Medium Rare的Rib Eye,因為品種原故美國的牛肉的確味道是比澳洲或日本濃郁,但切法上稍微有些薄身,店家將牛扒放上架用大火燒焦表皮,鎖住肉汁,令牛扒更為美味。而那自家製的茄汁,和撒上了鹽和黑椒的薯條,也是讓我着迷的原因。

Lily&Bloom在中環以Fine Dining而言具有很大的吸引力,水準更是浮游在高等位上,而且其一直變遷的主題沒有一成不變的惰性,在這區實在相當重要。不得不提一下,大家順道可以去參觀一下其洗手間,中間圓柱型的洗手盤直逼哈利波特「消失的密室」般華麗,漆黑而雍容華貴。她的確很好,兩次來訪亦欣然,年輕好在,能讓你有所期待,下次一次。

很多人,結了婚心仍然不定,急着想去證明自己的魅力,不夠標致又不夠安份,太多秘密又藏得不夠深,結果不去拒絕,結果用兒女來做不離婚的藉口,歸根,其實都是抗拒不了他人的閒言閒語,在未準備結婚的心態時結了婚,在想自由時卻又付出了承諾,終此一生。

蔡瀾說:「人越大,懂得盡量不去傷害別人。」這個越字,一直都是需要時間發酵的詞。最少,想做到的,和做到的,一直在接近就行,至少我們該有時間慢慢爬。

I've been hearing loads of my friends recommending this place with a very comfy environment, nice music which is definitely somewhere to chill with your friends n fam and soooo here am i x my first visit at Lily & Bloom!We first ordered their signature cocktail which is the London Fogcutter! Very nice presentation as you cann and the best part is the bamboo-like straw which makes the whole thing so tropicial haha! Lets start with some pita bread along w/ 2 dipping sauce: dried tomato and avocado sauce! Personally prefer the dried tomato which goes pretty well with thesee soft golden pita bread!

The portion of this smoked salmon flatbread is pretty big but so refreshing with the fresh grapes, cheese and smoked salmon! The combination is pretty nice and sounds like a great match!

Hickory smoked wagyu flank steak is such a huge oneee! Its quite tender and meaty but would be great if it could be a bit more flavourful itself! The thin cut fries on the side is crunchy tho haha not bad!

Lobster Mac&Cheese is definitely the highlight of the night! The mac&cheese is very creamy and you can see that every single macaroni is coated in cheesy cream sauce! The lobster meat is tender and flavourful too! Omg I want a spoonful of this noww!

Time for some desserts yayyy! Lets start with a chocolate chip cookie skillet! Freshly baked cookie which is warm and chewy itself drizzled w/ some hot fudge sauce and a scoop of icecream placed on the top x Personally found it a bit too sweet for me ahaha would be great to share among friends sooooo less calories intake right?

Compartively speaking, this brioche bread pudding tastes better than the cookie as is baked till goldenn and with a little bit crispy outer layer! A creamy and buttery texture is definitely a highlight!

This was a second time to be there. Romanticism is not only for lovers, but also for gals. A place with mood music is really wonderful for us to relax after work. First, we ordered a drink - Mad Hatter (4 pillars gin, early grey, sipsmith summer cup, cardamom, lemon, rhubarb and vanilla ). It can be shared by 4-5 people. Smoked Salmon Flatbread
Salmon made by cured makes the taste in rich fish flavor. And, the flatbread was crispy. Salmon and flatbread with other ingredients like pickled shallot were a great match. The taste was not only well, also special. Recommend it!

Artisinal Cola Glazed Flat Iron
The beef slow cooked by Cola tastes sweet and tender. The puree under the beef was made by sweet corn. 2 different tastes of sweet (sweet corn and the beef) matched perfectly. Such a delicate dish, really unforgettable delicious

The staff served us baked bread after we ordered. There are two sauces for dipping, one is avacado and one is egg yolk sauce. Egg yolk sauce tasted good as the taste is not too strong and great to had it as appertizer.

I love the Portobello carpaccio, this is made by marinated nagasaki egg yolk, truffle vinaigrette and pecorino. The portobello were very thin that each piece can dip the truffle sauce fully, the portobellos are very soft that seems it can melt on my tongue.

Whole grilled market fish, this is from a local fish monger, with chunky avacado salsa verde, purple carliflower, crispy ham and squash blossom sauce. The fish was very smooth and meat tastes soft. I love dipping it with the sauce as it made the fish tasted more fresh.

Grilled and chilled abalone brought us a huge surprise. It is made by cranberry miso, spicy yuzu vinaigrette and shiso, better mix with Les perrierss magnum Bourgogne blanc from Franch. First the design is so cute that the abalone is placed on cobbles which it looked natural and wild. The sauce was the best match it could bring a good taste to the abalone but also kept its fresh.

Mad hatter can be divided to four servings. That was four pillars gin, early grey, sipsmith summer card, cardamom, lemon, rhubarb and vanilla. The alcohol level was not very high but it was a good drink if you want to chill with your friends. Also it was served by a "tea pot" and looked lovely! Good try!!

如果你說我是蘭桂坊蒲精,我會直認不諱,不過晚上10時前的逗留,一定比10時後的多。在附近工作,午飯時間未算多得我可以漫步上伊利近街,蘭桂坊範圍便成了覓食的好去處。特別是LKF Tower,具口碑的食肆雲集,限額二百的話,吃個有質素的午餐並不難。有質素不等於不飽肚,吃個自助餐又如何?吃自助餐不一定要去酒店,一些美式扒房和意式餐廳在中午時候都設有buffet bar,冷熱食物都有,而且可以各適其適的加main course。試過了灣仔的Assaggio、中環的Bistecca,輪到 Lily & Bloom 的"Bloom"(註:Lily & Bloom 佔兩層,上層的Lily 是酒吧用途,下層的Bloom 是用餐的)。平日中午的midday market feast很抵吃,光是吃buffet bar 已經足夠,有熱葷有海鮮有即製Mac' N cheese有甜品有飲品,任吃只是$168。吃過午市後番尋味,適逢是慶祝友人衝破一百大關(是一個數字但當然不是年齡或存款額),又預訂了這裡逢星期二才有的Raw Bar Feast - 幾乎所有餐廳都是晚市比午市貴,不過有任食生蠔、蝦、青口加一個mai

說起美國菜,非快餐類的話,想到的多數是Ruby Tuesday、Dan Ryan's之類,菜式給人的印象不是走精緻路線;Lily & Bloom 算是比較特別,裝潢、環境以至食物(那當然包括價錢)高級一點,但未至於高級到Ruth's Chris Steak House 般的價格,間中一次聚會還是頗適合的,至少在環境上已經跑贏同價位的餐廳了。仿照20世紀的紐約街頭風格的陳設深得我心,除了那些走工業風、金屬和木的聯乘外,最標誌性的要算是那盞從上層傾瀉下來、高達一層樓的art deco 吊燈。首次到訪時是白天,固然燈光與室內的日光對比沒那麼大,但都足以令我頓時著迷了。

中西區及灣仔區有不少主打salad bar 的半自助餐,一百多至二百多都有。先不論價錢,如果不另加main course 的話,自然想salad bar 可以夠多樣化,把自己的收穫極大化。灣仔Assaggio 的主要是多蔬菜、芝士、麵包、冷盤,熱的只是pizza,飽肚度一般;這裡的是我吃過最多元化、最多熱葷和最細緻的,亮點是任食而補充得算快的冷凍海鮮,有煙三文魚、海蝦和青口,通常酒店才有的carving station和即叫即製的Mac' N cheese。

如果有的是時間和胃口,即管可算個連main course和3隻生蠔的,索價$298,不過我相信$168 已足夠令你飽足非常,有Mac' N cheese 和熱騰騰的烤肉,已甚為偏離一般"salad bar"的形象了。

幾款用冰鎮著的海鮮,無論賣相和味道都不俗,特愛那煙三文魚不太鹹,鹹味未至於會蓋過魚鮮味,大口大口吃,沒有佐以其他淡味的食物都行。青口不算大隻,但勝在鮮甜(小的青口才夠鮮和嫩口的),拿兩碟海鮮相信已值回一半價錢了。

冷盤其實還有基本沙律菜和一些較特別的配料,如spicy corn(辣粟米)、quinoa(藜麥),一系列的cold cuts 之類,不過焦點已轉移至令人垂涎的carving station 和Mac' N cheese!燻得一身古銅的烤豬肩,鬆化的肉質和近乎溶化的脂肪層相互交融,脂香豐郁得忍不到口,奈何吃幾件已爆了個人脂肪限額了。烤豬以外還有炸雞,不過我對炸雞的慾望不那麼強烈了。

限額還要騰出來吃Mac' N cheese- 即點即製的緣故,向職員遞上剔了所選款式的紙仔後,職員會把食物奉桌,無須站在外邊等候。每天都會有四款 mac & cheese 的選擇,分別在於醬汁和配料,一切都在黑板上述明了。Mac' N cheese 即是 macaroni and cheese,焗芝士通粉算是甚為經典的美式食物,如果你愛惹味濃郁的芝士醬汁,這必成為要encore 的囊中物。好在不大碟,畢竟芝士為主調的還是易膩,叫幾款和同行的人分享還不錯。以小鐵盤盛著,保溫之餘不失粗獷感,和工業味的裝潢呼應著。

自助食物以外還有飲品和甜品,咖啡和法式焦糖燉蛋都表現不俗。法式焦糖燉蛋的金黃焦糖香脆非常,香滑柔嫩的吉士佐以水果粒,實在不膩,飽得捧著肚子的情況下,沒抗拒的把它清掉。吃過幾次這個midday market feast,同行的友人都很滿足,我想是因為夠多元化的緣故,不論是喜歡清淡一點、嗜吃沙律的,還是食肉獸、重口味者,都能找到自己愛吃的,而又吃得飽足吧。

要欣賞裝潢最美的一面,必是晚訪無疑。門口的一襲紅光,添了一點玩味的率性感覺。那盞吊燈仍是最觸目的,上下兩層的燈泡像水中倒影般對稱和應,配合半昏暗的氛圍,古典韻味中帶著一點時尚感。樓高兩層,這種空間感實在罕有;加上窗戶的鐵框作背景,有點像舊式的圖書館吧?

光線直射進眼簾還不算最美,那襲玻璃杯拼湊成、如一排排風鈴般玻璃杯架,折射的燈光不遜那吊燈的光芒。座位大致闊落,亮澤的皮革甚有古典味。座位組合上,除了基本的二對二方桌,最特別和最有利於聚會的是開環狀的C字形梳化位,像拍電視節目的經典開餐模式(不會有人背著鏡頭,所以圓桌是不會360度的坐滿人),半圓桌的「卡位」,在西餐廳裡不常看到。

那種啡磚牆塑造出來的不羈感,有點像 Mr & Mrs Fox 的二樓,在輕快的音樂下,用餐氣氛實在不錯。紐約設計公司Avroko的手筆,不遜於Charlie & Rose吧。

早前在midday market feast 中拿凍海鮮的一角,亦放上了海鮮,不過豎立著扇具之類、較零星的樣子實在像display 多於實際功用吧?延伸下去的是一列bar 枱,不過沒太多人在喝,要喝的應該都到上面的 Lily 了,定位上兩層是沒有重疊的。

樓上的酒吧以二十世紀初、美國女孩常用的名字 Lily 來命名,而這層是Bloom - 當然不是名詞,亦不只是花才可以綻放(bloom 的意思),背後的意思是everything was blooming,用來描述/紀念當時的繁華景象。不去掏空腦袋去找歷史科的知識(其實所餘無幾),乾脆吃個大餐便是。

晚餐有頗全面的單點餐牌,餐前cocktail、頭盤小食、大份量適合for sharing的主菜和甜品等都有,與其說豐儉由人,不如說飽餓由人?正常食量加上正常飽肚度,不叫酒的話我想平均消費是每人三百,如果星期一來加上持有 Supermondays 卡可享main course 買一送一 的優惠的話,二百多應該都有可能。

適逢星期二才有的Raw Bar Feast,Main course 平均一碟二百尾三百頭,念在只是加二百就可以任吃生蠔、蝦和青口,單是吃半打生蠔都已經回本。蝦和青口相信只是配角,這優惠還是對愛蠔者來說比較吸引。任食的雖然只有數款海鮮,還有海鮮沙律和四選一的main course,不怕這餐不完滿。

無論以什麼形式光顧,晚餐時候必會奉上「麵包」- 但並不是普通西餐、跟牛油的麵包籃,而是幾片烤得焦香的夾餅式flatbread,配以兩種醬料:乾茄醬和墨西哥青醬。兩款醬料都帶熱帶風,平分秋色 - 橙色的茄醬帶著淡淡的鹹和甜,尤有曬乾蕃茄的微酸;淺綠的青醬走墨西哥,味道上以香草和牛油果作主調,較濃味的香草在牛油果的柔婉香氣下,變得濃烈不嗆,是兩款醬料中較得我心。

至於這幾片flatbread,有點像印度的naan,不過較會死實,而且奉桌時沒什麼餘溫,顯得有點嚡口和味寡,幸得兩款較特別的醬料補回失分。

吃任食海鮮前,來個小的冷盤作開場。以小杯盛著的地中海風海鮮沙律甚為精緻,醬料不多但不寡味。沒有投訴份量不大,因為只是小嘗的配角吧。

地中海風是帶點辛香的辣,拜紅椒粉 (smoked paprika) 所賜,驟眼看是不著跡的,因為已完全地拌入了沙律內,甚為惹味。配料方面,有大大顆鮮甜的「魚立」魚肉、鹹香豐郁的橄欖、清新的椒絲和沙律菜,唯獨是配角蜆肉相對份量較少。夠透心涼的一小杯醒胃前菜,這質素和份量是及格有餘了。

見我們完成了沙律,職員隨即奉上一碟半打的生蠔。忘了提的是這裡沒有限時,所以不用急著狼吞,吃完可以再添。是日的兩款生蠔為法國的Ecaille d' Argent Oyster 和美國的Skookum Inlet。兩款蠔各有個性,質感上法國蠔脆口,美國蠔肥美creamy;味道上法國那款較清甜,美國的則較重海水味。個人較喜歡後者的美國蠔,大大啖厚實飽滿的蠔肉在口中蕩漾,佐以些少提酸調的cocktail sauce,太滿足了。

如果你來吃raw bar feast,未必會碰上一樣款式的生蠔,更有參考價值的是新鮮度吧。新鮮度不俗,我承認 Mr. Steak 或是酒店那些即開生蠔會較好,不過念在價錢份上,這質素都是收得貨。

雖然是raw bar 中的一員,嚴格來說這不是raw 的,只是煮好了後再稍為冷藏一下。新奧爾良風的海鮮近來接觸得漸多,喜歡上那種惹味香口的味道,市面上有幾家走這路線的餐廳如The Captain's House和 Moonshine & The Po'Boys 的海鮮籃都做得不錯。這碟prawn cocktail,用上惹味的香料醃上加煮得入味,蝦屬新鮮貨,肉質爽口彈牙而不爛。佐酒一流的香口菜式,奉上了一碟蝦後,我們看看wine list 然後點了兩杯白酒。

以青檸、檸檬、橙、青椒和芫茜醃製過的青口,可想而知有多清新吧?和上述的沙律一樣,以精緻小巧的杯子盛著,半開合的看上去很色彩豐富。青口不大顆但勝在鮮甜滑嫩,但敗筆在於掛在青口肉上的汁料欠奉,即使有微酸的清新調子,還是弱弱的,可能我始終離不開汁煮呀白酒煮青口那種順口感覺。當冷盤沙律吃,當然會乾身一點,但以我口味來說,實屬一般了。

上文提到我們點的兩杯白酒,就是來自阿根廷Dominio Del Plata 的2014年 Crios Torrontes($80)和來自紐西蘭 Auntsfield的2015年 Sauvignon Blanc ($95)。較講究的話,by glass 都可以選上二百多的紅白酒,不過不是品酒專家的我倆,貪方便的點house wine 算了。

兩款的產地同樣是在南半球,還記得中學地理課教過地球上陸地和海洋分佈對氣候的影響的話,會記得南半球的氣候較北半球清爽,而這正是兩款白酒都來得清新的原因。紐西蘭Sauvignon Blanc 的酸度較阿根廷的Crios Torrontes強,帶檸檬清香;而後者則帶花果香,口感不單薄,其實兩杯都是選得不錯的house wine。作為house wine,本身不是矜貴貨,不過$80-95 一杯還不錯了。

輪到main course - 四款分別是 old-fashioned Bloomburger(有人說是招牌菜)、fried chicken & waffle、house classic ragu bolognese 和 hand cut pumpkin pasta。我們選了頭兩款,因為後兩款都是麵,太飽肚的不利我們迎戰更多的美食,皆因嗜豬(特別是ribs)的友人隨後點了一客黑毛豬扒加ribs(單點main course),變相有三個main course 了… 先不要瞪目,這夜我倆的食量真的是有點多,不枉我捱餓了一天和打了一小時的拳…

只怪坊間太多配搭新穎的漢堡,配料傳統一點而叫traditional 都不行,要用上 old-fashioned 一字,嘲自己老套的說。雖然不外乎牛肉和芝士,其實醬汁和食材製法上,未至於要冠以老套之名吧。

堆頭甚大,絕不是佐酒吃的bites 的份量。牛肉的製法用心,就像雙料冠軍的港姐般有兩樣極champ 的特質 - 乾熟成,以及和牛。說笑的 - 可媲美最近熱話中的劍橋港姐,本身已是出身於書香世家,不乏栽培,加上她後天的努力,不就是乾熟成牛肉的極佳比喻嗎?

在漢堡中用上乾熟成牛肉,最難忘的是 the Butcher's Club Burger 最經典和普通的the burger。那個沒有用上和牛,卻用上多個鬆化、具嚼勁的部位,乾式熟成令這些賦予口感的牛肉添上更佳的風味。這塊乾熟成和牛,誠然和牛這身份的作用不甚大,因為乾熟成已令其牛味突出,而其味道是製法的神來之筆,或是來自和牛本身,是較難分辨的。好吃是重點吧,而且煎得生熟度剛好,中間還留有一點嫩紅。肉汁豐腴,有經典美式漢堡的典範。

麵包用上亮面的那種,還算鬆軟,密度適中未至於一擠壓就扁塌;特別欣賞連包底都有烘過,算是細微的心思位。熟成車打芝士比普通更為濃味,加上薄而香脆的煙肉,這客漢堡雖然配料看似簡單,但惹味和濃味是稱霸的!

薯條還有餘溫,表面炸得金黃,稍以胡椒和香料粉作點綴,香口非常,薯條控友人都收貨了。這客不愧名為Bloomburger,有信心的把店名放進菜式內,果然是有水準的招牌菜。

這客main course 的質素平平,期望可能是給漢堡拋了上去,感覺上好像失色了。份量倒是頗大的,兩大件金黃閃爍的炸雞,幾乎把底下那塊窩夫遮蓋了。雖為美式炸雞,仍有點韓風的影子,讓你蘸個醬沒那麼乾涸,旁為蜜糖芥茉醬。

炸雞算是不俗,怕油膩的我不喜款太厚炸粉的,這個的炸皮不厚,但咬下時不失酥脆的口感。有一件雞搥,固然較嫩滑,但雞胸才是顯真章之物。肉質仍能保持微濕、帶肉汁而燙口的嫩滑,並無嚡口的感覺,的確不俗。炸皮本身是惹味的帶著鹹香,不過蘸些蜜糖芥茉醬可以減膩減滯,不夠的話再吃點酸瓜也行。蜜糖芥茉醬確是不錯,酸甜的頗醒胃,畢竟都吃到中後期,速度開始慢…

這塊美式窩夫相信是我失望的主因。和比利時那厚而鬆脆的版本不同,美式的較「細格」和較薄和實。除了口感上較失色外,楓樹糖漿亦放得不夠多,窩夫也就變得孤寡、薄而沒什麼口感的「蛋餅」。如果散叫的話,二百多又不太值了。Boomshack 的chicken & waffle 才是一百有找,卻滋味得多了。

沒留意到菜名下的小字有提及BBQ ribs,那就是黑毛豬扒加一排豬肋骨了!我獨愛黑毛豬的鬆化肉質和獨特的橡果香,這件烤得焦香的豬扒甚為厚切,生熟度適中而有肉質一欄的分數交足貨,爽滑彈牙。至於橡果香,一般般吧,烤香的醬汁把豬香蓋了一點。友人還是把Metal Steak 的七成熟黑毛豬掛在咀邊,簡直是心在曹營心在漢,雖然我沒嘗過,不過我明白如果再生一點會更軟滑。

醬燒豬骨反而來得驚喜,焦香味在鼻腔內繚繞不散,一根一根骨的吮,惹味得捨不得放下。肉質夠鬆軟多汁,沒有烤得乾涸不離骨,相當不俗。不得不提躲在豬肋骨下的燴紅酒椰菜絲,配搭令我想起在Bierfest 吃過的,其酸甜的椰菜絲像酸瓜一樣是解膩之用。整碟肉總要伴上一些菜,至少心靈上會好過一點。

云云近百元的甜品中,這客雪糕不算最貴,皆因不是什麼巧手之作吧?漂亮的雪花脆餅下,就是藏著一大球鹽味焦糖雪糕,四方八面有著不同味道的「配料」,如香蕉雪芭、朱古力曲奇碎、咖啡忌廉、熱糖漿和焦糖醬。

大部分配料都是濃味和極高甜度的,焦糖和朱古力是其中兩樣。一舀下,不難盛著幾種配料,因此同一口會有著多種味道層次,可惜太濃味,調子太相似,像後宮爭艷鬥麗的在較量,味蕾只知左右逢源,但分不出主調來。

即使對那客炸雞甜品有點失望,Raw Bar Feast 還是值得來encore 的,把生蠔吃個夠已經回本,重點是不會像主打自助餐的餐廳般計時要把食物倒進胃裡而不知其味。承認這餐點的放肆了點,如果只是光顧$490 的Rar Bar Feast,是可以同樣飽足的。

位於蘭桂坊,消費當然會高一點,但Lily & Bloom 的 Bloom 不失為性價比高、有實力的西餐廳。周遭有不少多國菜的選擇,但亦有不少是金玉其外而已。我這掙錢未算多的小薯,捨得在特別日子多花一點,但還是會看錢花得值不值,還是會想把錢花在具實力的東西上。這朵在日與夜都能綻放的百合花,相信憑裝潢外,是靠著抵吃的午市自助餐和不失精緻的晚市餐牌贏著賞花者的青睞了。

The smoked salmon flatbread, it used house cured salmon,mixed with fresh grapes, four cheeses and arugula. The flatbread was so thin that it won't make people feel full easily, we can then try more different dishes.

The HK Cioppino was a traditional San Francisco seafood stew. It used local market seafood in a zesty tomato broth, served with cheesy garlic bread. There were many seafood in this dishes and they tasted fresh, we do love it!!

Artisanal cola glazed flat iron used wild Hereford cattle, plus sweet corn puree, spring onion and ginger sauce. The coke tenderdize the beef and make the beef soft and sweet, this was the first time I tried a cola beef but I like it, we would definitely order this again!!

Last but not least, the restaurant was cozy and the atmosphere was really nice that not only suitable for couple to dine in here, but a group of friend can also have a chill night here! Next time I must come with my friends!!

You know how it is like, just another long day from work, and just another typical night that you and your co-workers are in desperate need to treat yourselves nicely just to stay sane. And tonight we decided to dine in this highly featured western restaurants in LKF.
You can pretty much tell the concept behind Lily and Bloom the moment you walked into the restaurant, the vintage fittings, heavy use of the wood elements and classic furniture pretty much yell old ‘Murica at you. And the food you asked? The food is just as definitive as their ambience.

Main: Grain-fed beef rib-eye with spiced fries
Requested medium as this is a large 400g steak and it was cooked just to perfection, slightly charred, crispy surface wrapping your juicy interior with the marble cooked just right enough to melt, which, as a matter of fact, not all of the so-called steakhouses nowadays could do properly. Could not lie about my slight disappointment on the fact that grain-fed beef though…at this kind of price range you would be way happier if grass-fed beef would be used. But overall the hunk of meat will justify its price tag just because it was processed this well.

The first to introduce is the Smoked Salmon Flatbread. I like this so much because I am one of the fans of salmon. This dish is made with house cured salmon, four cheeses, crisy capers and picked shallot lemon argula. The salmon is fresh but so salty. Fatty but not oily taste made the plain crispy flatbread taste well.

Secondly, this dish is called Portobello Caprpaccio. This is a special one for me because I have not tried and seen such kind of dishes before. It was made of marinated Nagasaki egg yolk,truffle vinaigrette and pecorino. The one who love the smell and taste of truffle should like it very much because it has a rich taste of truffle. The egg yolk was not so raw for me but it made the dish more creamy.

I am not a fish lover because I hate the offensive smell of fish. However, this Wholed grilled market fish made me try some. I love eating avocado but I really don't know that I could use it in hot dishes rather than salad. When I saw the avocado sauce putting on the top of the fish, I really had more intention to try it. The avocado salsa verde has made the fish more special, together with purple caulifower and crispy ham.

HK Cioppino is  a traditional San Francisco seafood stew using an assortment of local market seafood in a zesty tomato broth. It was not just a seafood soup but it was rich of seafood and some rice inside. There was a piece of crusty cheesy garlic bread, cheesy but not greasy.

Everytime when we order cocktail, we have to order it by glasses. This time we can order it in a bulk. We ordered Mad Hatter as to share together as it can be share between 4 to 5 people. Ingredients included four pillars gin, early grey, cardamon, lemon, rhubard and vanilla. A not so sweet but fresh taste surved with tea cup just gave us a feeling of freshness.
