小包包之前喺中環我已經很喜歡吃,因為我覺得以傳統嘅麵包夾上新穎嘅肉類有別於漢堡包,他們在銅鑼灣這次我是第二次去食了,真的很可憐疫情是他們店舖一個人也沒有,希望不要因為疫情而關閉,所以我也希望這篇食評可以作為小小的支持,他們的飲品也非常好味,價錢算適中吧,空間感也很大,他們的東西很好吃無論是小菜或者係最後的炸雪糕漢堡包也非常可口美味!我上次也有叫他們的豬腩肉漢堡包,一點也不油膩!大家如果經過銅鑼灣不妨可以傳過來這條街試試他們,肯定不會失望,比起天天海南雞這種不合理的價錢我更加覺得我們應該花費在更合理的餐廳上

Sunday round 2 brunch (round 1 from the first restaurant wasn't enough) where i was only looking for something light but ended up ordering 2 buns and a small dish.The signature pork belly bao with the slow-braised pork belly, sesame mayo and shiso leek salad is tasty as usual; the teriyaki chicken bao was a pleasant surprise and wifey loved it.Wish I had more stomach space for the ice-cream bao which was terrifically good when I had it during my last visit.

Little Bao is one of those spots that I will come to every now and then, the food is great and the space is nice too. We booked a table but didn't need to, the dining room wasn't that busy, so walk-ins are perfectly fine! We saw that they started doing a set dinner menu, which actually included a lot of food (starters, baos, dessert and drinks), but we wanted to try some of their newer menu items so we didn't opt for the set. We didn't end up getting any baos either but I'd recommend the Impossi

Believe it or not, but these brussel sprouts are my favourite dish at little bao! The brussel sprouts are roasted, then coated in a fish sauce caramel with chili, peanuts and lime to top it off. The sweet and savoury fish sauce caramel honestly tastes really good and balances out the slight bitterness of the brussel sprouts. Even my bf, who is a brussel sprout hater, thinks this dish is good! Overall, super delicious and a must order dish for me💯

This is another dish that we order almost every time, because quite frankly, we love fries. Topped with braised shiitake tempeh, truffle mayo and pickled daikon, this combo of fries & topping is really tasty! Great ratio of toppings to fries too. The truffle flavour is quite subtle, but goes quite well with the rest of the toppings. Definitely appreciate the fact that this isn't a boring plate of fries.

We were really excited to see this on the menu (we chose NOT to get the set menu because of this dish) as we are HUGE fans of cheese, and especially burrata. However, we were overall quite disappointed with this as a dish. I like that it came on a bed of cherry tomatoes, but I felt like the combination of the fresh sand ginger (沙薑) didn't quite work with the tomato, let alone the cheese. The chunks of ginger were quite big but quite bland, it definitely didn't have the punch of flavour that you'd expect from the sand ginger. I also felt that the cheese was missing a sprinkle of salt as the flavours it was served wasn't really have salty either. This dish is quite expensive as well, so was pretty disappointed that I didn't enjoy it☹️

We actually didn't expect this dish to be so big, so we were really pleasantly surprised! The noodles were coated in a mentaiko butter sauce, topped with a soft boiled egg, and served with a hoisin sauce and ginger/spring onions/lime. Once mixed together, the flavour combination is really yummy! The mentaiko really comes through, and the egg adds another layer of creaminess. I personally love the toppings as well, the lime is an especially great addition, it really ties the whole dish together! I'm not sure now long this dish will be on the menu, but would definitely try it if you have the chance! 

Aside from the burrata, you can expect all the dishes at little bao to be super yummy! Normally we would get a bao each, but I'm really glad we chose to try the noodles instead. Always great hospitality and good, innovative food options. If you have room, you should try the ice cream baos too. Although location-wise it's a bit challenging (on the edge of causeway), would highly recommend coming here for a great, causal meal.

在銅鑼灣有一家叫Little bao (Bao就是包的發音)的餐廳,裏面主要售賣的漢堡包很特別,首先是中式包點般的麵包作為漢堡包的外皮,而餡料方面也沒有任何西式漢堡包的元素在裏面,所以如果你想吃免冶牛肉、芝士等等的西風漢堡便不用做這裏來了~他們的招牌是豬腩包,材料包括慢煮豬腩肉、大蔥、紫蘇葉、芝麻醬及海鮮茄汁,豬腩肉因為慢煮的關係非常入味而且口感鬆軟,與中式包點的軟熟外皮十分配合,味道吃起來甜甜的,就像吃一個西式的叉燒包一樣。另一個是天婦羅魚包,將時令魚肉肉製成香脆天婦羅,加上羅望子甜酸醬和醃製香茅茴香沙律,吃起來口感比較多豐富,但味道不是太濃烈。相比之下,還是他們的招牌豬腩包比較出色。另外還點了紫菜墨魚脆脆,在紫菜碎鋪滿墨魚丸的外圍然後油炸,吃起來鹹鹹甜甜的十分適合配啤酒一起吃~雖然還沒有試過他的意大利麵,但感覺食物份量還是少了一點,作為Happy hour 的拌酒小食或下午茶很適合,但作為晚餐的話已一個正常男子也許是少了點。

他們的招牌是豬腩包,材料包括慢煮豬腩肉、大蔥、紫蘇葉、芝麻醬及海鮮茄汁,豬腩肉因為慢煮的關係非常入味而且口感鬆軟,與中式包點的軟熟外皮十分配合,味道吃起來甜甜的,就像吃一個西式的叉燒包一樣。

另一個是天婦羅魚包,將時令魚肉肉製成香脆天婦羅,加上羅望子甜酸醬和醃製香茅茴香沙律,吃起來口感比較多豐富,但味道不是太濃烈。相比之下,還是他們的招牌豬腩包比較出色。

雖然還沒有試過他的意大利麵,但感覺食物份量還是少了一點,作為Happy hour 的拌酒小食或下午茶很適合,但作為晚餐的話已一個正常男子也許是少了點。

很久也沒去吃Little Bao了, 也許是因為本來店附近在這幾年來, 開了很多很有特色的餐廳, 結果是忽略了它. 上年在銅鑼灣開了分店, 而中環本店也結了業, 分店變成本店. 當然銅鑼灣位置比較方便之餘, 店舖尺寸也比中環原店大得多, 連Outdoor位置也有, 真夠Chill.來到這裡吃的就是那兩樣, 多年不變, 刈包化身成的中式漢堡包, 饅頭口感偏向彈牙, 蒸完切半微微再煎, 中間放入焦香但口感十分腍身的豬腩肉, 配上茄醬, 甜甜酸酸, 中式食材但是西式味道, 而甜品也是饅頭, 但是炸起, 中間夾著煉奶綠茶雪糕, 一脆一軟, 一冷一熱, 對比強烈得令人喜歡, 甜度十足但依然能分別到不同食材的味道, 新本店能保持原店的九成以上水準, 都算難得. 除了包之外, 它也售賣不同小食, 點了炸秀珍菇, 配上川椒油和辣粉, 惹味又惹火, 只是秀珍菇出水太多, 令有些的外面炸皮軟化, 脆度不太夠, 有點可惜呢!

Seated at a corner of the restaurant, the staff are certainly friendly and energetic, introducing us on the menu and recommending the signature dishes. There are good spacing between tables (not sure it was the way to begin with or due to social distancing requirements), casual and fun ambiance, with the glass wall on the other side allowing us to look at the outdoor section and the street.

We decided to order the Happy Bao Meal ($258 per person) which includes four mini plates, two baos, two sweet endings and two mocktails for two person. First came the Brussel Sprouts, in which the vegetable is prepared with caramelized fish sauce, chili, peanuts and lime. Honestly Brussel sprouts are not my favorite type of veggie but this one is nice in taste, with the sauce having a good sweet and savory elements, adding the spiciness from the chili and acidity from the squeezed lime juice, it was quite a nice starter and no wonder it is one of the favorite dishes for the restaurant.

The Truffle Fries is presented interestingly, with the different elements of braised shiitake tempeh, truffle mayo and sweet pickled daikon put on top and one would have to do your own mixing for fun. The mayo is rich and the intense truffle note is appealing, and the added complexity from the shiitake tempeh is also a good match. I like the pickled daikon which got a bit of crunchy texture to the bite. My only suggestion is to dial down a little bit on the saltiness and it would be even more wonderful.

The Shrimp Tacos is in fact a piece of fried shrimp wonton, added with Szechuan chili oil, plus some marinated pineapple salsa and homemade avocado sauce on top. The wonton is nice, stuffed fully with minced shrimp giving a nice bouncy bite. The salsa provided good acidity, removing any oiliness from the wonton and the avocado sauce a creamy touch. Another of my recommendation.

The Seaweed Poppers are two pieces of cuttlefish ball with seaweed as coating, then deep-fried and served with a black garlic sauce. Another creative twist from a traditional snack, the cuttlefish ball is bouncy and nicely seasoned, and the small flakes of seaweed coated is creative. Though not exactly something I would feel impressed, it is good in taste especially dipping with the black garlic sauce.

Coming to the iconic baos, I had the Fried Chicken Bao, with the chicken coming the local farm, deep-fried and served with Chiangkiang black vinegar glaze, Szechuan Peppercorn mayo and coleslaw. Bringing me the prior recollection when I first experienced this, the bao is good, fluffy and light, and the chicken juicy with the different flavors coming from the sweet and sour black vinegar, spicy and hot from the mayo, together with the fragrance and balancing component of the coleslaw. Very nice indeed. My wife had the Fish Tempura Bao, with fresh market fish fillet deep-fried, then served with tamarind palm sugar glaze and pickled lemongrass fennel salad.

Coming to the dessert bao, my wife had the Green Tea Ice-cream with Condensed Milk Sauce while I went for Salted Ice-cream and Caramel Sauce. The miniature bao is deep-fried and still hot, then sandwiched with the ice-cream and sauce, creating an amazing enjoyment of both hot and cold. The salted ice-cream is good and with the caramel sauce is appropriate in sweetness. A good wrap up for our dinner.

The bill on the night was $617, which is reasonable and if you fancy something more creative and fun, seeing how this wonderful city is able to blend traditional Chinese components into Western casual dining, this will be a good choice.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s overrated with bao concept. Servers are slow, they dont greet customers. In general, really slow, no customer service, no apology on their wrong food order, no explanation whatsoever why the order went wrong, its just typical food you can find elsewhere. Dont see a reason for a second visit especially with poor service. Waste of money.

包全部都係包.豬腩仔包,肥瘦適中,包交鬆軟夾埋一齊食正🤩而且細細粒粒咁又唔怕食制,到炸雞包黑醋酸酸甜甜其實都幾好味道既,不過我比較鍾意食雞多啲超正🤗最後到甜品,呢個炸麵包有啲似酒樓嗰度炸饅頭,脆脆地加上雪糕一齊一熱一凍咁令到饅頭變得鬆軟,口感一流😊🥰

Thoughts: Think it is little overpriced for what it is and I remember back in Sheung Wan, Little Bao was better.
