Passing by this place every morning on my way to work, and finally got a chance to try the food here today. I only had one hour for lunch, the pace of the food coming was a bit slow, so it was a bit rush for me. Passing by this place every morning on my way to work, and finally got a chance to try the food here today. I only had one hour for lunch, the pace of the food coming was a bit slow, so it was a bit rush for me. Otherwise it’s fine, a nice and chill place to enjoy a meal with friends over delicious food and tea.


The dim sum we had was this crab and prawn dumplings with gold foil on the top. Sounds fancy, eh? I did not know what those black dots were, so I taste one individually. It’s vinegar, sweetened vinegar, which brought out the taste of crab and prawn of the dumplings so well.


Then it’s the scallop. When I cut through it, seemed like it’s been pan fried a little. A bit crispy on the outside, and so soft on the inside. Really good. I loved its interesting presentation. With the crepe or pancake at the bottom and the condiments around it, I really wanted to wrap it up and eat it like Peking Duck. However, I did not want more carbs in my meal today, so I didn’t.


Umm… salty salty ox tail. I really like ox tail in general, but the one we had today was way too salty. I only had a few bites while the meat was still soaking in the sauce, then I had to move it to a clean bowl. Lots and lots of tea and water was needed after I finished this dish. I usually like to suck on the bone for the bone marrow, but I could not do it with this one. Lol… The meat itself was savory, juicy, tender and soft. The whole big
chunk of meat just fell off the bone as I pushed a little with my fork. It was perfect cooking timing. I loved the pilled cherry tomato on the side, so sweet and refreshing that helped a little when it’s too salty.

 
Steamed fish, one of those garouper I believed. Oh! So good! I’m salivating right now just re-thinking it. So smooth like it melted in my mouth! I could have ten more orders of that.


Veggie is always nice to round up a meal. We had pea sprout, but it was just okay… Maybe it’s not in the season. A bit too chewy.


Overall, it was a great meal and I'll definitely come back again.

雖然已搬住九龍, 但一有機會都會在假日都會在翠玉軒飲茶不但食物質數高、服務水平也很不錯👍🏻我喜愛的親朋都一定被我邀請過來吃過, 大家每次都很欣賞. 灌湯餃, 豬腳仔及素餃子都是我的致愛但豬腳仔通常一點多就賣晒🤨

因同一集團我至愛嘅中菜滿座,就訂與其相連位置,亦是我久違了的翠玉軒,就俾多次機會再食吓,看看會否要繼續封存或可以重新列入心目中常到嘅中菜啦!餐廳裝修後第一次到,環境比前好,但服務都係差不多。因今日下午有人請tea食,所以今晚唔算好餓,但都想食「滋味炆牛尾」,落order五分鐘後服務生返來告知已經賣晒,當時都只係七點十五分!之後點了如下⋯⋯珍菌原件鱈魚扒:原本整體好好味,珍菌汁岀色配上魚扒好夾,但美中不足係鱈魚扒切得太薄,失去咗魚肉嘅質感,有點可惜。鮑魚汁珍菌素千層:素千層與鮑魚汁有互補作用,夠味又好味。鳳脂花雕蒸虎蝦:花雕酒過濃,對不太好酒精嘅朋友有點吃不消。虎蝦份量唔多但夠新鮮,另附的河粉混合花雕蛋一齊食,都幾特別,但這款菜唔係一道大眾化口味嘅菜式。清炒菜心(少油):想食多點菜,來個清炒菜心,無咩特別但簡單的一碟菜,都好味。感覺翠玉軒整體係比前有進步,可能今晚所點嘅菜式不算預期中好,但如相連的中菜滿座,翠玉軒都係一個好選擇

都係美心集團,幸好㸃心質素好過翠園,潮江春好多(但係咸水角 d 油就舊咗,唔得囉)。環境座位濶落好多,唔會被人撞 。兩個人5個㸃心+額外order 碧螺春,坐咗個半鐘,埋單三百幾,都唔算好貴啦。不過仍然有美心嘅影子,服務員啲態度冇笑容,好唔夠人,收咁嘅價錢,加多兩個人來幫手啦

魚翅灌湯餃:我特別喜歡吃灌湯餃,無論到哪一間酒樓飲茶,只要有灌湯餃,我都必定叫一客來試試。老實說,不是全都好吃的,但翠玉軒的灌湯餃就真的「無得輸」:鮮甜的湯汁,大大的餃子內有大大的原粒干貝。😋😋😋大家有機會也要試試!

週日的中午1點半來到中环交易广场二座4樓,這家米芝蓮餐廳門口還有四五個人在等位。裡面座無虛席,侍應穿插忙碌,可見名不虛傳。我們的座位可以看到摩天輪,view不錯。食物也很出色。叉燒色如琥珀、又類真金,入口即溶,含浆膏润;蝦饺外皮煙韌,蝦仁新鮮弹牙;炒飯很干身,瑶柱很多而且很軟熟不會塞牙縫。服務略顯不足,有的東西漏单,再催单的時候卻發現我們點的食物已經售罄了,有些遺憾。

I love this restaurant for the excellent food and convenient location. Being a Maxim's restaurant it offers great discounts with AE cards as well. Went with friends last night and although I've always felt it's understaffed, last night was a real let down. We sat for 15 mins before waving frantically for drinks service, which didn't sit well with me. To top that, when we tried to order dessert around 10 pm, a rather blunt member of staff told us there's no hot dessert left. Surely, if they have

Our dim sum came first. This one seemed to be a must-order dish as it was one of their signature dishes. The spring rolls were crispy as always with a lot of fillings. The only complaint was that the ingredients were not so evenly spread so that some rolls contained more shrimps than others. They were a bit dry so it was better to eat them with the sauces coming along which included spicy sauce and vinegar.

When served on our table, 3 out of the 5 pieces of 鍋巴 had fallen onto the cheek...The waiter offered to bring us 3 more pieces of 鍋巴 to make up for it but then had obviously forgotten his promise. For the food itself, some of the cheek were very tender but some were not! And I found the 鍋巴 actually not going along well with the curry sauce because they couldn't really absorb the sauce well.

The tiger prawns sucked because they were over-cooked and were no longer 爽口 at all (as you can tell from the picture)! The eggs smelt and tasted really strong in hua diao which made the egg custard taste quite good. The flat noodles were just standard.

This was the best of all the mains we had. The ox tail was really very tender which was so easy to break apart to share. The special sauce was actually 燒汁! yummy!

They served us this immediately after ordering while the waiter who took our order actually suggested serving it after our mains. Then they brought it to us again before our last dish of the mains arrived...Anyway, it was ok for me to just finish it then as we were almost done. The bowl was really hot when served but surprisingly the pudding itself was just warm. A bit weird. The only comment I had on this was 香滑足料. I found this dessert a very good value for money!

The sauce seemed to be free of MSG/ salt and we could tell that it had been prepared using some 金華火腿. But the peel was pretty disappointing because they were not so smooth as I had expected and they hadn't absorbed the sauce well enough...

Although the ice-cream seemed to be some just average mango ice-cream out there, the whole thing tasted delicious given the more-than-sufficient ingredients! Yummy!

Overall, I had expected better overall food quality given the prices but it seemed that most of the costs had gone to the rent. Sub-par services during lunch had been well expected given its prime location so I really didn't have too much complaint about service. However, I must say that there were a lot of choices of desserts and the quality was very good especially given the costs. 

Given the price, I will unlikely come back again as I have a lot more choices in Central. Maybe just come back for desserts

Standards have fallen. Waited twice, almost 40mins, for dessert (egg tarts) and had to send both orders back to the kitchen. Egg tart was cold in the middle, despite the manager claiming that it freshly baked.Just not the same as before. Standards have dropped.

我地又一段時間無黎中環食飯喇,咁岩老婆既朋友約我地兩口子出來食飯,初頭唔知去邊道食好,三人行最後黎左翠玉軒食晚飯。【滋味炆牛尾】必點!牛尾肉非常嫩,又淋,吸收哂醬汁好野味!建議兩個人共享一份,因為份量頗大,一個人食再送飯會好易飽,但今次有少許濃味左,送飯一流!。【西班牙黑豚叉燒】, 第一次係D道地方叫叉燒,但叉燒嘅肉質又幾好食又夠淋半肥瘦岩岩好,唔怪之後我朋友極力推薦,如果可以多一點燒烤嘅香味會更加好。【螺片扒翡翠】上湯煮過螺片後放在清炒翡翠苗上,是個濃、淡、爽、滑的奇妙組合,好吃的。【海龍皇豆腐煲】又多一個未試過的菜式,內裡有勁多大大隻既鮮蝦,香滑既豆腐,新鮮海帶,而煮出香濃既上湯,湯裡勁香濃好味。【和牛沙律】必點!

在交易廣場中,地點方便,內裡環境令人感覺舒服放鬆,但服務水準一般,食物一般,浪費了個地方。食物分3輪叫,叫服務會比較困難,起碼叫4,5次先有人行到埋身,本人燥底,有少少火。一開始叫了煲老火湯,以及3個前菜。才7點15分,懷舊金錢雞已經冇貨。第2輪,7點20左右,已經有部分菜式冇貨。第3輪,8點,本來想叫花雕蒸虎蝦,個侍應話要等半小時,見我們仲考慮,又話要超過半小時。真係同我唔識野,餵15分鐘酒,蒸3分鐘,等半小時都有多啦,仲話要等超過半小時,即係叫我們不要點啦。好,轉咖喱牛面,這次仲利害,侍應同我地講,因為即炆,要等45分鐘以上。算啦,咁叫個炒飯,半隻脆皮雞食飽就走。其實我覺得如果這裡餸菜存貨少又要等得長時間,不如在菜單上列明每日限量,以及制作時間,令客人點菜時有個心理準備。如果我知樣樣都冇貨,我訂位時就已經落埋單啦。因為冇叫鮑參翅肚,價錢方面都算經濟,7個人才3000左右,信用卡還有折扣,每個人三百幾。但講真,在這位置上食飯,我會預算每人五百至壹千,但食物水準同服務水準反而係重點。我要經濟我就不會在這裡食啦。
