店舖係一間可以兩邊打開晒D門同窗, 開放式酒吧風格既店, 我地去到時正正係12點幾LUNCH TIME, 所以可能有部份門窗關了好控制吧? 可是如何打開了所有門, 原本既細小焗束既感覺就無晒了. (小弟沒有影到場地相, 今次無得SHARE比大家睇了)

佢地其實都有好多好多野食, 而且佢地都有SET LUNCH, 相信會滿足到好多好多唔同人既口味, 店主同店員都以英文為主, 我沒深究佢地係咩國籍, 不過佢地D英文速度慢慢地但咬字清晰, 要理解真係好易 ..可能因為見我地係香港人吧? 不過有D外國人講英文又快又好重鄉土音好難明....又有禮貌, 我覺得好似去左外國旅行食野咁~~ (最可惜唔可以當係開飯遊蹤啦~

個"早餐"用一個幾有份量既四方牒裝住, 裝滿左份量唔多但是多種唔同既野食係上面, 有多士, 雞蛋 , 焗豆, 煙肉, 焗蕃茄仔, 薯餅, 磨菇/大草菇(切片), 約兩串長既坎伯蘭腸.份量雖然唔多, 不過可以比你試到好多唔同既味道, 而且全部食晒都算飽肚

薯餅, 焗豆, 煙肉, 多士, 磨菇片既味道係大家一向食開既味道, 唔差, 不過無亮點, 我就用焗豆來送多士, OK咁啦, 台面有支HP醬可以比你用來增加其風咪, 大家不妨試一下, 口感更好.

雞蛋佢有得選擇炒蛋 , 煎蛋 同 水煮蛋(POUCH EGG).

POUCH EGG整得幾好味, 微咸, 內裡有流心既蛋黃, 正, 鐘意食流心蛋, 溫泉蛋既真係要試. 除左蛋, 坎伯蘭腸同焗蕃茄仔係我另外幾欣賞既亮點, 坎伯蘭腸味道同外表有小小似紐倫堡腸 (德國餐廳食開我D白香腸) , 肉味足, 就算唔點醬食都好足夠,

焗蕃茄仔唔係就咁成粒係惠康買到哥D車尼茄 , 而係連埋成條藤蔓咁成個囉去焗既蕃茄仔. 出到來, 外表有小小反光既感覺, 表面有一些地方有凹陷, 睇落好似焗到好乾咁, 我手起刀落, 一切下去就知我估錯了! 內部有好多水份爆出來! 令牒的一角都充滿鮮茄既汁液... (浪費了!) 餘下兩粒我就直接用口咬, 好多汁但唔酸而又帶合適甜味既口感令我喜出望外!

ALL-DAY-BREAKFAST 唔似LUNCH咁有跟餐飲, 我覺得差唔多價錢, 我就試左個CHOCO BANANA SMOOTHIE, 打得很幼, 唔會好似沙冰咁飲出一粒粒冰既感覺. 然而BANANA SMOOTHIE無咩稠既感, 飲起來幾順口, 唔太甜, $50好似好貴, 不過幾大杯, 讚!

全日都有早餐食既ALL-DAY-BREAKFAST, 我女朋友話佢其實咪係"鬼佬常餐" . 大家如果想食好野, 又唔想想咁多, 一去到就叫ALL-DAY-BREAKFAST都係一個唔錯既選擇~

想念在Sheffield讀書的日子,決定同老公去Soho嘅 Yorkshire Pudding食個Yorkshire Pudding懷念一下星期六Lunch唔太多人,好多外籍人士已經啤酒一杯接一杯, 我地唔係太肚餓又怕食物份量比較大, 結果 order 咗一份Yorkshire Roasted Beef 再另加一份Crab CakeYorkshire Roasted Beef - 燒牛肉燒得相當出色, 薄薄的一片, 唔乾唔"un" 已經好難得, 再加上肉汁 (gravy) 非常特別! Pudding只有兩件, 加上肉汁, 像特別的包包, 當然, 還是在約克郡食的Pudding酥皮層同即焗的比較出食, 不過在香港能品嚐特色美食已是難得Crab Cake - 唔太炸, 又足料 (大量蟹肉), 仲有不少蔬菜伴碟, 好okay! 離開時見到其他人order 的 fish & chips 同埋full day breakfast 都好大碟同埋好正, 下次可以再試!

Crab Cake - 唔太炸, 又足料 (大量蟹肉), 仲有不少蔬菜伴碟, 好okay!

Fish pie: this was my first fish pie, so I don't have much to compare it with. It had 2 prawns, a mussel, and some tuna in it. I think the menu said there were scallops, but I didn't find any. Mostly it was fine, nothing really stood out, although I thought the carrots and turnips (?) in the pie were undercooked and a little crunchy. B-

Salad: The pie came with a house salad. It was pretty good: light on the dressing, a little bit of pepper, crunchy and fresh lettuce. It had a few grape tomato slices that were hard as rocks, but it is the dead of winter, and you can't really be blamed for poor quality tomatoes. A

Brussels sprouts: Pairing them with bacon was a good idea. Bitter green vegetables and salty fat bacon. Not a huge Brussels sprouts fan, but these were great for what they were. A

I was sick, so I didn't eat off my wife's plate (she got the full English breakfast). I have a few things to say about it though. First, the server clearly had no idea what "over hard" meant. When my wife ordered her eggs "over hard" she was asked to repeat it, the server listened with a blank stare, and then left-- and the eggs came over easy. It's alright not to know... but you can always ask.

Second, my wife reported that the breakfast seemed a little too 'fancy' and not like the big pile of sausage, bacon, eggs, etc. it should be. I'll add to that point and say that one time before I was disappointed in the burger here because it was overly fancy (cumin seeds in the patty!) when I just wanted a straight burger.

Anyway, she gives the breakfast a B.

Altogether, I don't think this place is bad, it just doesn't make me eager to come back again any time soon. B
題外話/補充資料: With 2 beers the meal cost us about $450, so not cheap.

首先每人送一件約克郡布甸,不知情者,聽到布甸二字,就會想到甜品,其實,約克郡布甸是鹹點,大多用來配燒牛肉,淋些Gravy上面,是最常見的食法。

很久沒吃過這裡的炸魚薯條,賣相對辦,薯條是典型粗切,名乎其實的Chips。炸魚的Batter,混合London Pride啤酒,薄薄的外層,香脆可口,炸魚是用上鱈魚,肉質鮮嫩,配菜為青豆,但我最愛還是Mushy Peas。

Roasted Beef with Yorkshire Pudding (2/10)
The beef was more like steak Diana style, rather than the proper roasted beef and you slice it. The gravy taste like the MSG beef broth cube mixed with other ingredients. Not the freshly made one, in a dish like this, the gravy is the soul of the dish. The Yorkshire pudding was okay, it would be better if it served fresh.

Every time when I am craving for British pub food, Yorkshire Pudding is always my top choice. Although it is not exactly the best British restaurant you would imagine, but a quick fix definitely helps!

Give me a thumbs up if you like it!

街知巷聞的英式炸魚薯條往往是最容易出問題的一道菜,很多餐廳要不是炸粉的比例下得太重,就是炸成油淋淋的一團,或是魚肉發出陣陣倒胃口的腥味。幸好,Yorkshire Pudding的英式炸魚薯條做得面面俱全
,金黃色的表皮炸得酥脆、厚薄均勻,也不油膩
。裡面的鱈魚的肉質滑溜,也沒有常見的冷藏味
。配上慷慨供應的 Tar Tar Source檸檬汁,非常滋味。薯條肥厚而香脆
,稍作調味。青豆是一貫的冰鮮出品,但煮得軟硬適中,同樣是一款必備的配菜

Shepherd's pie 也就是 Cottage pie 了,在英國非常平民化的經典名菜

最上層是溢滿牛油香味的薯蓉,表皮焗得金黃脆口,還隱藏著英國國旗的模樣
!薯蓉打得細滑,份量充足。厚厚的薯蓉下是味道濃郁而燙熱的免治羊肉青豆紅蘿蔔,非常飽肚。免治羊肉經過慢火燉熟,非常軟滑香口
,更何妨個人不排斥羊羶味。旁邊的Brussel sprouts煮得軟硬適中,綠色小小一顆,亦沒有常見的苦澀味,不需要任何調味,非常絕配的配菜

,不單送來時只是微溫,Gravy Source也下得太吝嗇吧
。這裡出品的Yorkshire pudding口感韌韌的
,沒有我喜歡的軟綿綿質感,再者因為Gravy Source沒有滲透入厚厚的酥皮層,感覺像咀嚼乏味的麵團

我甚少吃這類不花巧,沒任何水果、巧克力點綴的樸實蛋糕
。它的口感沒有賣相來得結實
,淋上巧克力醬和拖肥糖漿,口感有點太甜膩。杏仁蛋糕本身鬆化美味,但放在如些豐盛的主菜後就有點過盛了


這次團價比意料之外來得滿意,服務也算友善和有效率。總覺得英式食物雖然讓人吃得肚滿腸肥,但在冬日的嚴寒下卻帶來一種莫名的幸福感呢
無論酒吧或餐廳都絕對值得我再次光顧

個人甚少踏足蘇豪區, 反而因友人在附近工作,決定是次聚餐地點.餐廳位置容易找到, 基本上由中環上扶手電梯一條路便可直達. 餐廳分兩舖, 一邊有吧檯飲酒, 另一邊主作用餐.本人孤陋寡聞,原來這間餐廳名字"Yorkshire Pudding" 亦是一種食品; 一種圓形酥皮批配以肉汁進食, 所謂的肉汁則類似KFC薯蓉上的肉汁, 味道OK, 不會太鹹或太淡, 奈何將肉汁放進酥餅後已經"腍"晒.另外有點幾個典型的英式main course:Shepherd's Pie - 上層焗薯蓉, 內裡主打攪碎羊肉, 洋蔥, 香草等... 味道不俗, 特別喜歡有少少膻香.Fish & Chips - 其實只係簡單及普通的菜式,不過以炸籃上賣相立即"升呢"不少. 典型的英式炸魚, 炸得剛剛好, 唔錯.Homemade Steak, Mushroom & Guinness Pie - 同Shepherd's Pie 差不多, 分別在於此為牛肉, 唔太韌.Yorkshire Pudding with assorted grilled sausages - 算是較特別的一個菜; 一件較大的Yorkshire Pud

餐廳位置容易找到, 基本上由中環上扶手電梯一條路便可直達. 餐廳分兩舖, 一邊有吧檯飲酒, 另一邊主作用餐.

本人孤陋寡聞,原來這間餐廳名字"Yorkshire Pudding" 亦是一種食品; 一種圓形酥皮批配以肉汁進食, 所謂的肉汁則類似KFC薯蓉上的肉汁, 味道OK, 不會太鹹或太淡, 奈何將肉汁放進酥餅後已經"腍"晒.

另外有點幾個典型的英式main course:

Shepherd's Pie - 上層焗薯蓉, 內裡主打攪碎羊肉, 洋蔥, 香草等... 味道不俗, 特別喜歡有少少膻香.

Fish & Chips - 其實只係簡單及普通的菜式,不過以炸籃上賣相立即"升呢"不少. 典型的英式炸魚, 炸得剛剛好, 唔錯.

Homemade Steak, Mushroom & Guinness Pie - 同Shepherd's Pie 差不多, 分別在於此為牛肉, 唔太韌.

Yorkshire Pudding with assorted grilled sausages - 算是較特別的一個菜; 一件較大的Yorkshire Pudding配以幾款不同肉類腸 (pork & apple, pork & veal, & cumberland). 我無試這款, 總覺得三條腸既唔飽又唔抵.... 據告味道OK.

First time to be here! Knew this restaurant for long and and wanted to try it for long. Here comes the chance. Spend sometime to locate this restaurant. Thanks to Openrice compass We were arranged to sit in a big table in the pub area in front of the fish tank. Later, we only found that the dining area is somewhere next door??? Mini Yorkshire Pudding gravy: not as great as I thought! Not bad, but won't come back this restaurant solely for this!!!

Cheese Burger: Taste not bad, the fries is very very crispy and tasty. Beef Burger itself is not bad, but we can definitely have similar thing everywhere. Won't come back for this too.

Breakfast: Sausage is good. Bacon is too salty. Others are fair. Quite expensive for such a breakfast (But, of course, I know it's in Central) None of them impressed me a lot!

We don't like beer at all, so we just want tap water. As everyone drink beer there, they never refill our water. And the waitresses there didn't smile at all. Not even mention the service. Service was not terrible but not good too!!!


I think I won't go there again.

先上的是那道燒牛肉及約克郡布丁"Roast beef & Yorkshire pudding"。「燒牛肉」其實是英國傳統「星期日燒烤」"Sunday roast"的主菜,而「布丁」是其主要配菜,再加上烤馬鈴薯,蔬菜及配以肉汁"Gravy",非常豐富。自助餐總會有燒牛肉吃,但我過往吃過的感覺極為不良好,總是乾巴巴的,咀嚼困難,難以下嚥,所以從不愛吃,或者是我過往吃的自助餐級數比較差吧。但這裡薄薄的一片燒牛肉,卻非常可口。暖暖的肉片再加上肉汁,非常好吃。但若然放著放著,把它放冷了便沒那麼美味,所以烤肉,還是熱食的好。「布丁」我還是頭一次吃,感覺像「隔夜牛脷酥」,當然不是「隔夜牛脷酥」那麼難吃,而是軟綿綿的,少少的甜味,既不淡口,又有口感,相當不錯。
接著是那道「炸魚枊及薯條」"Fish & chips"。這是英國傳統兼具代表性的美食,跟平時茶餐廳、快餐店吃的絕對不一樣。雖然是炸物,但不算油膩,更炸得恰到好處,廚師的功力實在利害。再配以沙律醬,牛油青豆作配菜,好味極了。
是次的美食探險獻出了不少我們的第一次...第一次蘇豪區晚飯,第一次太太一個人飲了一樽「喜力」,第一次吃"Pudding"...然而那傳聞中服務員的態度...又沒有想像中差...整體來說讓我相當滿意的一頓飯,所以我相信我會再來的。

由於是一個很特別的紀念日食肆,應該會每年一度的光臨。 今年的感覺還是可以的,若果侍應們可以更加友善的話。 廢話少說! 每人一個MAIN DISH, 再加上一個甜品已經飽得要打包了,可想而知食物飽肚能力是非常滿意的。 此小羊膝味道是滿意的,肉的質地也是鬆軟、無渣的,是值得推薦的菜式。 而薯蓉也是非常幼滑!本身是不喜歡熟三文魚的味道和質感,但這個三文魚可能是沒有被完全煮熟,並沒有以上的感覺。 做得最好的反而是伴碟的小新薯,外皮脆香而薯肉味清新可口。 整餐做得最好的就是這個APPLE CRUMBLE. 批面香脆金香焗得剛好,而充滿肉桂香味的蘋果餡料也做得極好。 非常值得推薦,加上淡淡的vanilla cream 更完美了整個甜品。 由於是紀念日的關係,基本上是無視了侍應的惡劣態度,食客需要留意。 他們會黑口黑面的問你食甚麼呢,也不會好禮貌的送餐上桌,服務呢,不要期望就不會有任何失望吧!

整餐做得最好的就是這個APPLE CRUMBLE. 批面香脆金香焗得剛好,而充滿肉桂香味的蘋果餡料也做得極好。 非常值得推薦,加上淡淡的vanilla cream 更完美了整個甜品

由於是紀念日的關係,基本上是無視了侍應的惡劣態度,食客需要留意。 他們會黑口黑面的問你食甚麼呢,也不會好禮貌的送餐上桌,服務呢,不要期望就不會有任何失望吧!

We actually made a reservation at 9.30pm but the waitress seems so busy to tell us where we seat and there were plenty of seat anyway. I have never been to this place before, so I didn't expect this is a pub. My intention was to try Yorkshire pudding and sticky toffee pudding. Well, sticky toffee pudding wasn't as good as the one I have tasted in England . I also ordered a homemade beef, geniuses pie. It was good. A bit like Chinese beef style. I like the sussages as well. Pudding本身冇Delaney做得咁出色, 一來淋晒, 二來d汁配合起上黎好似冇咁出色, 唔知係咪上次第一次食所以先入為主. 反而係燒牛肉勁正, 肉汁多而且鮮味, 肉本身又嫰滑, 極之出色! 另一個British Fry Up, 即係咩都有既continental breakfast, 味道不俗, 多士燶得恰到好處, 其它就冇咩特別. 飲完一pint Leffe, 飲飽食醉, 開開心心享受一日假期.

下午坐山上手扶梯時看到這一家門口很多老外 在喝脾酒看裏面還有位子就進去喝點飲料我們一共點了whiskey 跟mojito Whiskey 是straight 不加冰塊, bartender 推薦的,不太合口味,沒有煙燻味,跟bartender 說的不一樣mojito 調的很差, 薄荷葉隨便弄一弄,沒放糖,檸檬角也沒弄好, 基本調酒該有的都沒有真的很難喝我們酒也沒喝完就決定離開了

I rang to ask if they'd be doing a christmas menu. The lady over the phone said yes,
but wouldn't be out until beginning of December. She emailed me the menu when it was finished.
I made a reservation for a table of nine.

As I've never been before it was actually very easy to find the restaurant and with it being decorated
all red, looking like a UK telephone box. It was hard to miss. When I got there, I looked around the
premises. It's not as big as it looks in the picture, I was a little worried that we'd be sitting at the bar table,
but luckily there is another floor upstairs. Again it wasn't very big, there were only a few tables set out.
Just enough space really for seating two large tables of ten people. However it was felt quite cosy sitting on
the large red couches. Christmas Music was played in the background, but it was very frustrating as it kept
breaking throughout the tracks.

The service was okay, I wouldn't say it was great. We sat down to look at the menu only to be given the
A la Carte menu. We had to ask for the Christmas Menu to be given to us. After a quick scan of the Christmas
Menu we all decided that there wasn't anything that appealed to us on it, so in the end we ordered from the
A la Carte.

Firstly we ordered some starters. Two portions of Deep fried Camembert with cranberry relish, Two portions of
Calamari. A portion of the deep fried white bait and a beetroot, stilton, apple, walnut and watercress salad.

There were three wedges in the portion, filled with hot melted camembert. As a cheese lover it was divine and
complimented very well with the cranberry relish.

I wasn't too happy about the white bait. I felt it wasn't crispy enough and taste wise kinda so so.

If I was to give a mark for its Appearance. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
However to comment on the taste, it was fairly salty.

After that we ordered our mains. Five of us ordered the Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, Gravy and Veg.
Three people ordered the Yorkshire Pudding filled with three types of sausages: pork & veal, Cumberland
and apple & pork with thick gravy and mash and I ordered the braised rosemary lamb shank with creamy mash.

This looked and tasted great. The Roasted potatoes were perfect. The Yorkshire Pudding was chewy which I liked
and the onion gravy was top notch.

This dish was to die for. The lamb was so tender and moist, the meat fell straight of the bone when I put a knife to it.
The mash tasted marvelous so creamy and buttery. Only downside was that it didn't come with any veg.
I so recommend this to lamb lovers.

The Yorkshire Pudding with three types of sausages weren't too bad either.

We were all stuffed silly, but there's always room for dessert. We didn't fancy a whole portion each, so we just ordered
a couple to share, so we could all finish on a sweet note. We ended up ordering Sticky toffee Pudding and
Apple Crumble with vanilla ice cream. Only for it to end up being Rhubarb Crumble which most of us don't like!
So it was sent back and replaced for the Apple.

The sponge was moist and not sickly sweet it was nice. It was quite a large slice and enough for us all to try it.
I would have really like for it to have custard though.

I wasn't too keen on this version of Apple Crumble. Again there wasn't any custard, instead came with cream.
I found the crumble was not crumbly enough and there were blueberries in it as well.

Overall the experience was a good one, I would definitely go again.
The total bill came up to $3780. Including 10% service charge and the drinks that we ordered.
