牛筋好碎濕濕,但份量算多。

Brass Spoon 位於中環砵典乍街,在全城最好吃越南粉排名榜居榜首,難得今日中午經過就早早去排隊。十二點十五分來到不需要等太久。餐牌主食有生牛肉、熟牛肉粉、還有兩款撈檬及春卷、粉卷等小食。要了生熟牛肉粉$85、多蔥。先呷一口湯底、好清而肉味濃、連蔥同洋蔥一起喝一口好香濃。牛肉片軟淋、牛𦟌膠質與肉比例很好、口感亦爽滑,不愧為最好吃的牛肉粉手。另外點了蒸粉卷$55、粉皮幼滑、餡料新鮮、蘸上魚露酸酸甜甜很好吃。

I had lunch here and had very bad experience here, the service is really bad but the food is just average and overpriced. Sometimes hey just sorry can solve the issue but they won't even admit anything wrong with them and their poor attitude. I will not visit again and won't recommend this to my friends.

Heard this place is very popular: need to line up for a seat at lunch time and often sold out before its COB at 7pm everyday. So I paid a visit for a late lunch on a weekday, called in advance to confirm the dishes are all available and no queue outside;) The overall feel and decoration is definitely higher end than other good Pho places such as Pho Bar (the one close by) and Bep (the equally popular one in Soho with multiple locations in central). The overall feel and decoration is definitely higher end than other good Pho places such as Pho Bar (the one close by) and Bep (the equally popular one in Soho with multiple locations in central). Very decent cafe / bar style with modern design and high quality furnitures.

Visited after 2:30pm so there were plenty of seats available but yet with a handful guests. The whole store smells good (sets my expectation rather high). I also liked their order form which is simple, clear and enables sufficient personal preferences.

And the Pho:
- outstanding soup, very tasty yet authentic without artificial MSG tastes;
- beef: ordered premium beef, the quality was great, just maybe too little meat for a guy (good for girls like me ;p )
- noodles: quite different from those of other Pho places, this one is tender but much stronger, chewy! I like it. But note the noodles portion is rather small, so if you are hungry, may order extra noodles or beef

Overall: def one of the best options for Pho in town!

To be honest what exactly I was looking for is veggie pho in veggie broth but didn't manage to find one, it seems the classic raw beef pho is the popular theme generally in HK, but at least this place serves solely professional Vietnamese food and not mixing up Thai and Indian like other restaurants which confuses me.

I forgot to keep a shot of the menu which is well designed and you can actually choose what kind of pho you want, which sides to add and some snack and drink choices.

Since I'm not impressed by meat generally at all so I chose the cooked beef pho, what was disappointing was I specifically asked for more onions and spring onions but when the pho was served it just doesn't seem there was any extra of those on it.

The presentation of the dish is very clean, which is also the biggest impression of this place to me with its modern internal design and beautiful lighting which gives the food the right color. The beef has some fat in between and is really tender, broth is flavorful but the portion, I don't know about other people but for me is definitely not enough for a formal meal, a tea is just fine.

They didn't charge service fee if I remembered right, so 82 HKD for the pho which I guess is acceptable in central. Wish they serve veggie pho here in the future so I would come back a lot more.

The waitress took away our bowl even though we haven't finished and the food was still on our tray. When we told her about it, she refused to apologize and said we didn't say anything. After they acknowledged they gave us a new plate, however, with only one tiny portion of the dish we ordered, which was that portion that was left in the bowl. As if they wanted to make a statement! Very rude!
