We were served with some fresh lettuce salad first. They have natural sweetness, cant help stopping eating! Then, wagyu beef skewers were served along with some cold cuts & salmon, mac & cheese balls and fried head cheese sticks. What amazed me was the mac & cheese balls, what a surprising and delicious way of cooking mac & cheese! Besides, wagyu beef was so tender and flavourful.

As main dish, I chose the prime rib roast and my friend chose the hanger steak. Hanger steak was also tender and it was in a perfectly state of medium rare. The prime rib roast was large and you could decide how the egg was cooked, which I decided to go on scrambled eggs. It was creamy and yum!

Lastly, it was a surprise to have dessert in a brunch set. We were too full thus we ordered only 1 cake, the special coconut cake. I wish the temperature of it could be a bit lower to have a better texture of coconut cream but the flavour was there, rich, smooth and perfect to end our meal.

I decided to book Hunter and The Chase for my Birthday dinner. I realised when l got there that this was previously known as 'Shore', under the same restaurant group. The marrow was ok

The Crab starter bland

The Beef Shin was tender but the chef did not season the meat and it was bland! (check your dish before plating chef!! )

Bouillabaisse was excellent and a huge portion.

The rib eye was 40% FAT a mega disappoint.

Seabass was OK, cooked just right.

Air con on the Central Plaza was freezing cold as the angle beams down on the table. Same problem when it was Shore❄️❄️❄️TOO COLD!

Overall for the prices they charge they should check food whilst cooking!!!

最後就係甜品, chocolate dome, 聽個名就已經好特別,啱啱上盤嘅時候只係見到一個朱古力半圓形,然後,侍應等我哋打完卡影完相就將熱辣辣嘅士多啤梨醬淋落去朱古力上面,當溶化後就發覺原來下面係士多啤梨蛋糕, 配埋薄荷雪糕,簡直係一流。

Luckily the mains were in a right portion. Miso butter poached salmon served with creamy black rice. Salmon was well controlled. Under the crispy skin the meat was still very silky and smooth.

The grilled USDA prime hanger steak was nicely cut into small pieces already and you could see it was indeed a nice medium rare as I asked for. Served with white mustard and brown garlic sauce and a mouth watering smoky outer layer.

Ribeye $328
The use of steaks in Hunter and The Chase are all USDA prime steaks. The grilled ribeye is 12oz and it can serve for 2 people. The ribeye is medium which is slightly grilled outside and tender inside. The fats surround one side of the steak and bring a very strong aroma. There are four sauces to choose and you can even just eat the ribeye with rocket leaves as it’s already tasty enough.

Miso-butter poached lobster $208
The lobster tail is fresh. With the side dish of salmon roe, shiso and miso-butter, making the lobster sweeter and without fishy smell. It is chewy and spongy in texture which gives me a feeling of luxurious and enjoyable.

Roasted bone marrow $178
The beer-braised oxtail and roasted bone marrow are served with brioche. The texture of oxtail is more rich and better than most beef because of its higher content of lipid and gelatin, the roasted bone marrow is super fat but I definitely love it! It must be a choice for you to eat for at least once if you come to Hunter and The Chase, I am so sure that you wouldn’t want to miss such fantastic, fatty and flavorous taste.

Lasagna $168
Lasagna is the pasta with several stacked layers. The ingredients include mushroom, zucchini, spinach, ricotta and bechamel source. There’s a strong cheese and tomato sauce flavor which is match for the lasagna and is a great appetizer in the dinner.

It is a French dish of potato slices baked together with cheese, cream, onion and garlic. It tastes smoothly and creamy which is a good dish for me and my friend to feel satisfied and full at the end of the dinner.

We ordered two signature cocktails for the dinner at last, including Catch me if you can $108 and The Chase $108. Catch me if you can is a fresh and light fruity gin. There’s a blackberry in between the stick on top of the drink. With the pair up of The Chase, which is a bird-like shape glass holding the botanical gin, it looks like a picture that a bird trying to catch the blackberry. It’s quite match and we are excited that these two cocktails can make up a story not only their name but also their outlook.

We ordered the strawberry cheesecake as a surprise for my friend’s birthday, and although it took a little longer than expected, we were all amazed at the level of detail and cute drawings on the plate. It also tasted amazing, as the earl grey cookie base complemented well with the strawberries on top

P.S. Apparently they have a superb outside terrace for drinks on 3/F, but we were seated in a cozy corner booth on 4/F

Every dish was excellent. Of particular note was the lobster tail (very large and juicy, perfectly cooked and not a hint of rubbery-ness), quail was outstanding (great flavour without being top gamey, light touch with seasoning), tenderloin was outstanding (very soft, perfectly pink in the middle, gorgeously light seasoning), tagliatelle and uni chitarra (pastas were both homemade with excellent texture. The uni could have been fresher but this is not a Japanese restaurant), twice-fried fries were huge in portion and quite addictive. Too full to try dessert - the cheddar crust apple pie sounds enticing. Will return.

The steak was fried nicely and had a nice chargrill aroma with a nice pepper sauce. The chicken had a nice portion but I think it needed more sides and flavouring. It tasted just like any old Chinese salty chicken which you could get anywhere. I think that the chicken was a Chinese one as it had the quality of what I dubbed as ‘alien chicken’ with randomly scattered gloobs of fat around the meat , which by the way guys, it is not normal. Fat should be like string together, not like beads on the white meat.

We also had a half portion pasta which was a pretty size already. One thing I have to say that the flavouring just felt like it was salt and pepper only for every dish. I couldn’t taste other types of spices, herbs and the playing of ingredients; this could just be that the dishes we ordered all happened to be like that.

I had the creamed spinach as sides and really wished that they used western spinach and make the sauce much less watery.


Cocktails were pretty good taste wise and had a nice presentation.
