Isola Bar & Grill (Moved) New Location

I had dinner @ Isola last week. It was absolutely terrible.We ordered 2 pastas and a very thin crusted pizza. The tastes were just awful. I have to say, I have never had such yucky food ever in my life. I don't think the pastas were cooked properly. I think the pizza was extremly salty.Though there's this very nice view from the restaurant, the food is just sick. $350 per person for this restaurant is simply unreasonable. 上星期個friend心情麻麻，同佢去食好野舒發一下內心鬱悶，佢揀IFC, 係誤打誤撞無booking之下到訪Isola，仲有window seat, 個中國藉肥妹仔waitress介紹一個menu 無的cold cut 比我地試，有巴馬火腿數款，問佢有無生牛肉佢話有，黎到有無，仲好大碟，係太大碟先o岩, 之後同佢好客氣講返呢兩個points佢d口面好難睇，淨係識話d野來貨好貴。作為食客，我只係睇你個menu上的價錢。Main course 係black cod魚，又出其地細份，都唔知話佢底食定唔底食，個中國藉肥妹仔waitress在埋單時仲用力放抵個皮cover, 裡面仲有我張credit card, 唔該比d training 你d staff啦! 心情唔好就唔好返工啦，d 口面係咁，食龍肉都係咁話啦! 最後連一杯house white 同兩枝水(@60 each), 盛為$600!

I went there with a freind without booking on a Friday nite, so only got a little table near the entrance.WEWe've got two straters n a main course plus a bottle of red wine. The taste was good though but the portion are expected small. Desserts were good too.

My girlfriend and I decided to have a nice girls' night out and went to isola. We didn't have a booking on Thursday night and waited about 15 mins for a table. In that time, we had a drink at the upstairs bar which was nice. 與朋友來享受晚餐，大家都是貴精不貴多，就點了一個主菜同一個甜品一起分享。先來麵包籃，並附上類似香草牛油果醬。麵包有幾款，法包、意大利foccacia、脆餅及類似olive 包。全部都不熱的，但質感都唔錯。主菜點了menu 最貴的Angus 牛柳($338)，要五成熟，上桌時有grill 香味，中間是粉紅色的，外邊就有點濃了少少，肉質算不錯，不過太乾身，$338 是貴了點。肉味不及stonegrill 的香。不過因為不油膩，感覺很健康。甜品點了Special dessert，名叫Warm Chestnut Pudding with Vanilla Ice-cream ($88)。改了Hazelnut Ice-cream。個布甸帶非常濃郁的栗子味，甜度適中，很好味。伴的榛子雪糕亦非常好味。本人覺得甜品比主菜出色。餐廳環境優雅，地方闊落，有身在外國的感覺。可能因為四周都是外國人吧。不過比較嘈吵。其中一個侍應的服務就很差。好唔helpful，仲見佢對外國客好Ｄ。咁高級的餐廳應該注意服務質素。

雖然都開左一排, 但係都新史坑黎走一轉, 坐o係右邊smoking area, o岩o岩黎得兩三chinese, 到走果時得番我果係, 其他都係鬼佬, 估唔到o係IFC都係咁喎. 不過咁, 雖然我地廣東人成日比人話講野嘈好大聲冇哩禮貌, 哈哈, 果晚果度簡直同你去左酒樓一樣, 冇晒氣氛, 同個場一d都唔match. 食左個parma ham o既pizza, 嘩, 冇得頂, 好鬼好食, 我見好多都有order呢個, 有好多parma ham同埋火箭菜, 好大個, 分倒8件, 都係百五蚊, 抵到爛, 仲有個自家pasta with clams, white wine cream sauce, 本來想叫個seafood o既pasta, 但佢地話個chef係南部人, seafood係要with tomato sauce先唔會ruin左d seafood, 咁我地又唔鐘意tomato sauce喎, 咪聽佢講叫呢個囉, 都唔錯, d clams几大隻又新鮮. 要左指定o既crme brulee with raspberry sauce, 都算几好食, service一般, 唔算好attent

尋日放工，約左兩個行家交換情報，來了這裡。呢度兩層，樓下餐廳，樓上就係吧。星期三都唔算多人，無訂檯室內或室外都有位，開頭我地坐室內的，但後尾就搬左出去坐。室內的疏化位幾適服，加上柔和燈光同不錯的裝修，係一個不錯的傾計地方。今晚都唔算大風，所以坐室外都唔會吹到頭暈。有啤酒有雞尾或各式餐酒，雞尾無什特色，都係幾種果汁加奶，所以飲左兩杯，在座那位女士都加入飲啤酒的行列；這裡有黑啤的生啤，我就由頭到尾飲這個。這裡沒有小吃免費供應，但可以叫樓下的食物，我們叫了Trifola Pizza，是truffle、mozzella芝士及羊生菜的組合。這裡的薄餅熱辣辣，夠薄又夠乾，很合我的口味，可以講係做得幾好。加入truffle及芝士，幾有香味，送啤酒好適合。侍應的服務，不算差也不能說好，一般咁啦。三個人，四杯生啤、一枝啤酒、一杯雞尾加一個薄餅，埋單五百蚊有找。以這個地方及環境，當然不能與蘭桂坊及Soho相比，亦不算貴，起碼我飲完唔使兩步就可以坐番埋公司位。題外話一：似乎室外的位置只適合飲野，如要fine dinning，都係室內好一點。題外話二：樓上酒吧的室外坐位有條幾大的「運河」在中間，加上黑黑地，幾

20041105 11pm訂o左位o黎飲o野.再加多5個朋友.即是18人.因為我地太多人, 結果係分發o左出去2/F個露台位.(其實係可以比梳化位我地但佢地無咁做lor)好笑啦! 如果要坐露台食風我因咩事要book你isola?!無service可言,同埋有個waiter都係臭寸樣.我好耐無試過落中環飲o野得到臭寸樣o既回應lor.結果飲o左一round吹到頭都痛埋就大家一齊閃.去第二度再飲!!!!有錢都唔比你賺!唯一好就係無min. charge lor, 過Aqua 飲就一定唔得了.1/F裝修係幾靚,不過係只係幾靚lor,食過咁多懶靚裝餐廳, 我覺得呢度咪又係咁,不外如是.

I've been there a couple of times, and I didn't suggest going there in every case. If you've never been there, you should go at least once. Sit outside if you can. Indeed the decor and the view is nice, but when I'm having Italian, i like to be at a place which at least looks authentic, no too-fancy decor, just good food.
