The vegetable soup is a runny soup that is more like a tomato soup. The sweetcorn cream soup is thick and has a very creamy and milky taste. There are only a few bits of sweetcorn in the soup, and you cannot really taste much else besides the diary produce. The pork chop and vegetable lasagne, is pretty much a staple dish that is offered most days of the week. Here they offer good sized portions. The vegetable lasagne has a good balance of tomato and cheese flavour, the vegetables in the lasagne are sized well and gives that added texture to the lasagne. The gravy has the right amount of flavour, it goes well with the pork chop and lasagne. A good dish to choose, but gets boring after awhile.

As for tea and coffee...... the tea is the better option, the coffee will definitely not meet the standards of those coffee lovers out there.

This place is consistent, but even with its rotating menu, you cannot help but get the feeling that this place is lacking in flair. This place has found a good base of regular customers, but for those who get bored easily, they will reduce their visiting frequency seeing as the same menu is repeated every week. Maybe it is time for them to introduce a special dish of the day that is a regular changer and they can challenge themselves further and make something that is outstanding.

Consistent in its efforts, there is only a low risk of having any nasty tasting surprises, so if you want to play it safe this might be the place for you.

在我工作地方的附近, 就有一間名不經傳的小義大利菜餐廳 - 心意屋, 這小餐廳初初開業時我就光顧過, 一試下就愛上他的意國風情薄餅, 當中的巴馬火腿的鹹香, 和薄於豬肉紙般的薄餅皮, 都是我喜歡的原因. 久沒光顧, 是夜好友來到我公司接我放工, 一起又來了這裡.日間的他擠得迫迫, 晚上就比較清靜.今夜就點了下圖的...凱撒沙拉 - 合格的菜式薄餅 - 本來如白雪的蟹肉經烤焗後, 變得如吞拿魚肉般, 不過配上芝士及忌廉汁, 還是很好吃.帶子雜菜扁意粉配欖油 - 帶子很Q, 扁意粉很彈牙, 如果欖油再多一點會更好芒果吉士拿破崙 - 平常比較少點甜品, 今夜可能心情比較好, 便點了此甜品. 芒果肉很好吃, 拿破崙餅非平常吃到那款餅碎碎的口感, 可能因為加入了砂糖再焗過的餅, 有如甜甜的麥芽酥餅般好吃. 還好沒有點錯... 總覺得在吃過一餐豐盛的晚宴後, 要是能吃到一口好吃的甜品, 會有很幸福的感覺. 不知愛吃甜品的大家, 又有沒有這種感覺呢?不過是夜來時, 發現本來是橙色的外牆, 被掃上了綠色, 而店名PIZZA & PASTA HOUSE也沒有了, 不知道為什麼突然把店名拆下了呢?

帶子雜菜扁意粉配欖油 - 帶子很Q, 扁意粉很彈牙, 如果欖油再多一點會更好芒果吉士拿破崙 - 平常比較少點甜品, 今夜可能心情比較好, 便點了此甜品. 芒果肉很好吃, 拿破崙餅非平常吃到那款餅碎碎的口感, 可能因為加入了砂糖再焗過的餅, 有如甜甜的麥芽酥餅般好吃. 還好沒有點錯... 總覺得在吃過一餐豐盛的晚宴後, 要是能吃到一口好吃的甜品, 會有很幸福的感覺. 不知愛吃甜品的大家, 又有沒有這種感覺呢?

不過是夜來時, 發現本來是橙色的外牆, 被掃上了綠色, 而店名PIZZA & PASTA HOUSE也沒有了, 不知道為什麼突然把店名拆下了呢?

This is what you get when the cooks put their hearts into what they are cooking - quality good tasting food!

I personally frequent this place because I live close-by, and I can tell right off the bat that not all dishes are made (cooked) equal. Some will taste better than the others.

I like:
Caesar salad
Prawn & mango salad
Mushroom soup (and some other soups that I have forgotten)
Steak (lunch sets available on certain days of the week)
Chicken steak
Angel hair pasta
Parma ham pizza (traditional thin crust only)
Souffle (as well as certain other desserts)
Iced milk tea (80% comparable to On Lee Fishball's milk tea)

They change the menu around a bit from time to time (especially the lunch sets). If you are unsure of what to have, I say it is best to try out one of their lunch sets first ($35 - $55) (Available from 12nn to last order at 14:30). From there, you can gauge how well you like their cooking, eh?

Occasionally, they will get your order wrong by giving you pasta instead of rice, but they will change it back for you and apologize for the inconvenience. One thing they seem to always welcome (when they are not too busy serving customers) is constructive feedback. And they reflect on them too!

服務方面...當然是差...可能因為自己也有做過西餐的關係.....當然呢度唔係d咩高級餐廳..但收得加一服務.....那自然要有服務吧......餐具亂黎..飲湯時收左人地隻匙...到食意粉時又唔比返人....明明share..又......算了.... 但係睇見佢地企係度冇野做....有野又唔做......!!..分枱比客又失敗.....訂了枱...也沒理會......!...只能說年輕人做事沒放心機.!!

與好友相約北角飯聚,沒有特別喜好下,選擇了鄰近北角城市酒店的心意屋,這間小店環境是完全的簡約,店舖不大座位也不多,環境卻不算舒適。這裡供應的食物齊全,沙律、薄餅、意粉、焗飯、主菜、甜品皆備,既然如此,散叫了幾道菜與好友共享,應比 dinner set 更化算。頭盤點了一客魚子、醃青瓜、蜜桃沙律伴小虎蝦配蕃茄欖油汁 ($48),份量不大但賣相別緻,用料尚算新鮮,除了小虎蝦爽口外,也喜歡蜜桃的清甜,味道是可以的,亦十分醒胃。薄餅則要了最基本的意國風情,材料主要是巴馬火腿、加上蕃茄乾及水牛芝士而成,薄餅底做得很薄但批邊毫不脆口,味道也未見突出,只靠每數片美味的巴馬火腿去補足罷了。良久沒有吃 Ribs,見這裡以『炭燒』美國豬骨 ($98) 作名堂,忍不住點了一客,可惜效果不理想,已不期待有甚麼炭燒味了,但 ribs 外皮烤得不夠脆口,內裡肉質有點韌有點鞋毫無肉汁可言,燒汁味道也不夠濃郁,就算沾上蜜糖芥末醬味道也不過了了,徹底喊面之作。 最後來一客香煎鵝肝、檸檬、香草意大利飯,味道反而有點喜出望外,鵝肝以此價錢計已算相當肥美,如再煎香少少,令其外層再脆口會更好,意大利飯亦相當正宗,不會煮得太淋,

曾經幾次想到這家店吃午飯都苦無座位,今次終於有位了!要了三份午餐:千島醬吞拿魚烤餅配薯仔沙律、黑椒汁BB豬肋骨跟意粉和芝士蕃茄焗三文魚薯蓉。吞拿魚烤餅鬆脆可口,配以清鮮的蕃茄蓉和薯仔鮮果沙律令人十分開胃。黑椒汁BB豬肋骨相比之下顯得普通,部分意粉因為黑椒汁不夠而沒有味道。芝士蕃茄這種傳統醬汁,加上三文魚和薯蓉,別有一番風味。薯蓉表面烤得微焦,軟中帶脆,非常好吃。隨午餐附送周打魚湯或雜菜湯。雜菜湯味道清淡,並不特出。周打魚湯忌廉香濃,還加入了西芹粒,是用心烹調之作。

隨餐飲品選了熱檸茶, 沒啥特別。

另一次和同伴來, 已過二時, 有免費甜品贈送呢。

今次為了試一試她的意粉, 故冒著肥爆的危險點了一道「三文魚茴香忌廉意粉」。小片煙三文魚加入茴香葉和洋蔥跟意粉拌煮, 再拌入稀忌廉就是這個樣子了 (我想像出來的煮法)。可能就是泡在那一大忌廉汁裡的關係, 意粉有點不夠 al dente, 也好在未到湯意那種軟趴趴的質感, 合格啦。除了忌廉汁比較「漏」之外 (忌廉汁本身是沒有什麼味道的), 整道意粉的味道都是偏淡的, 害我要另加胡椒粉 (這裡的胡椒是原粒在瓶中, 然後現磨的那種, 有分加)。希望主餐牌上的意粉會好些啦。

也試了少許同伴的「芝士粟米煙鴨胸烤餅配薯仔沙律」, 烤餅油答答的像印度油酥餅, 煙鴨胸就夾在烤餅裡面, 倒是創意有餘而食味不足; 薯仔沙律呢幸好沒有太多沙律醬, 不致油上加油, 看來這一餐我的意粉比較好啦。

是日贈送的甜品有焦糖燉蛋, 不過到我們點甜品的時候剛好沽清了, 可能我聽到鄰座的顧客問侍應這 creme brulee 本身是否凍的, 答曰是的, 我想不會是熱的吧?! 於是我們的甜品便換成芝士蛋糕一小件, 上面灑上糖霜, 賣相不馬虎, 味道也很正常。

這裡的午餐價格在四五十元之間, 以一般打工仔女的午餐 budget 來說已是頗高級的了, 但附近又少有這樣的西式小店, 所以仍然有她的市場。有機會晚市再來吃她的 pizza。

原來有不少人都鍾意食Carbonara,也要一碟,把長通粉改成意大利粉,更合大家口味。意粉的賣相已不甚理想,只看到很多肉碎,卻完全未有蛋香和芝士香,意粉既不滑亦不彈牙,比預期中差了一大截。

Pizza是薄批,真是很薄,頗脆口的。不過,芝士香味又是嚴重不足,好彩有我最喜歡的火箭菜,煙韌口感及甘香味道,挽回不少分數。原來我一直好鍾意食既菜就係叫做火箭菜,下次懂得叫了!

咸點到此為此,叫做不過不失,但我們點的咸食份量不多,唔知道阿龍兄是否夠飽?來到甜品環節,又是甜魔大顯身手的時候。除了紐約芝士餅及兩款沒有供應外,其餘全部掃清。

先是跟餐的藍霉芝士餅,起初被其溶溶爛爛的外觀嚇親,吃下又不是太差,香滑又不失藍霉味道,有驚喜。

百爵茶Creme Brulee,焦糖面確是脆口,可是茶味來得有點古怪,與蛋香味有點衝突,我個人並不欣賞。

Tiramisu,吃得出咖啡香味,正正常常,大家都收貨。

疏乎厘賣相不俗,看似鬆軟幼滑,但相信是焗既火侯不足,蛋白帶有生味,吃兩口也不再繼續了。阿Yan為了不想浪費,勉強將其吃掉。辛苦晒!

香蕉拖肥布甸,濕濕淋淋咁,不太討好。大家認為配雪糕可能會好吃一點,便要求服務生加一球雪糕。超甜的味道,配合雪糕一齊食去中和甜味,果然會好一點。

主角心太軟最後出場,上台時蛋糕已有裂口,有朱古力漿流出來,是故意讓我們知道這是心太軟嗎? 流心程度可以接受,朱古力漿既暖又濃郁,加兩球雪糕食都算不錯了。其後再追加一個,還膽敢請求要三球雪糕,大球一點。出來時是有雪糕三球,不過好細球,心中有點不悅。第二個心太軟跟第一個的水準差不多,只恨雪糕不足。

夠yan享用了唯一的一杯餐飲,要Latte,聽說味道正常。

掃完餐牌上的甜品,各人都未盡興,除了Janice身體有點不適提早回去,其他人都飛的往銅鑼灣Haagen Dazs繼續下場。

藍莓芝士餅(+$20)-餐單上沒有這項,但惠顧晚餐可加錢享用。作為首先上場的甜品,其霉霉的賣相令人打個突,不過吃來夠芝味又香滑,味道竟然不錯,如果餅底厚點乾身點會更佳。
伯爵茶味creme brulee($38)-濃得來怪怪的茶味與蛋味格格不入,而燉蛋本身質感似膠醬,而非應有的軟滑,是令人很失望的一味,也令大家更加猜測盛讚這個甜品的食評是造馬了...
原味疏乎厘($38)-加$10可享加大的兩人份,不過我們要了小的先試味。一來到賣相靚仔,叉下去質感又鬆軟有致;可惜再吃下去,方才贏回來的印象分都不夠倒扣:原來廚房火候未夠,疏乎厘仍帶有生蛋白味。不想浪費下,甜魔勉強清碟,不過感受很麻麻呢~
意大利芝士餅($38)-經歷兩大打擊後,大家對甜品要求也降低了;此刻來個味道正常、帶有咖啡香的tiramisu,大家都收貨。
拖肥焗香蕉布甸($38)-味道香蜜甜膩、質感濕潤又熱暖的香蕉布甸十分討喜,不過原本沒有配雪糕,我們另要求加配雪糕,營造更動人的冷熱對比口感。推介。
心太軟配雪糕($38)-滿心期待、特別要求加多球雪糕的心太軟壓軸上場,慶幸沒有令人失望:心太軟朱古力味夠濃郁,也做到流心效果,大家決定要來多個。當然,如果表層可以再脆點,朱古力醬再熱點,雪糕再多點就更妙!
 
等待第二個心太軟期間,我不客氣享用了晚餐的
鮮奶咖啡,味道正常。
 
雖然吞了不少甜品,但大家心裡早已盤算更美味的甜品下場。狂風掃落葉清了最後的心太軟後,(心急關係單早已埋了
),大家就急急腳跳上的士,到銅鑼灣HD再來多一打雪糕球!
走得這樣快,可見小店火候未夠,尚有進步空間。加油吧!

晚餐加$20的藍莓芝士餅,端上來時有層微細的冰粒(水珠)舖面,似時在冰霜冷藏過。芝士被藍莓味佔據,而餅底較濕,擬在溫室解凍過程中,有水倒流的影響。

Tiramisu-是較為硬身的,擬似是一件咖啡蛋糕,其材料沒有lady fingers,也食不出Mascarpone。

疏乎厘-有朱古力及原味選擇,我應為疏乎厘以原味較為好。這個表面金黃,焗得很豐滿,但做匙"筆"時,質地不是軟熟,內裡較為重身似是未焗透,故入口沒有即融效果。

百爵茶Creme brulee-表面的焦糖很脆,做到卜聲的清脆,當"筆"起時已知不妙,質地很有芋蓉感覺,入口只有超濃不甘的茶味,蛋香已被掩蓋。

香蕉拖肥布甸-一看賣相不討好,很濕漉漉的。第一口感覺是超甜膩,大家應為配雪糕食較好,要求額外加一球雪糕。與雪糕配合食時,效果截然不同。雪糕可中和甜味,也帶出拖肥香。較特別的是中間的香蕉很硬,似是香蕉乾。

心太軟-端上來時蛋糕已有缺口有朱古力醬流出,不知是起模時的意外,還是師傅是故意樣食客知道是名副其實的心太軟。外層蛋糕較為厚身,可時焗的時間長了一點,亦有流心的朱古力溶漿,但不夠澎湃,而朱古力的濃度亦可接受,以$38一客來說,可給80分了。由於份量不足以5個人,我們再追加一客,更貪心的要求附加三球雪糕。

雖然水準好一般,已比我準期中好。而這店的甜品不夠滿足大家,最後打的去CWB的HD食雪糕。

Been to there last Sat just wanna try out their pizza and pasta... already know that it's a small rest and having waited over 45 minutes, blasted out the items from their menu for order... and surprisingly, Pizza and Pasta got no PIZZA!!! OK as they said the oven is down but how come Caeser Salad, cheese potato chips and escargot were all sold out!!! What we are furious about is that their staff could let us know way earlier to save us from waiting... Having waited for that long and leave there

What we are furious about is that their staff could let us know way earlier to save us from waiting... Having waited for that long and leave there is unthinkable, so we carry on with the remaining (though less) of the menu. To be honest, the food is up to the standard. But it ain't reasonable to charge $20 (plus 10%) for a cup of coke in a cafe de carol's environment.

So below a brief list of remaining we ordered:
Pumpkin soup - didn't try, look tasty and pasty
Chicken wings (cheese favour) - big but
Wild Mushroom Risotto - good for value though small portion
Roasted Lamp Chop - two tiny pieces per portion (somehting like $90) but good taste
Pasta -average meat source
overatted dessert, no expectatoin, no disappointment

Overall - not recommended
