As a teppanyaki lover, I immediately said yes when my friend invited me to try out this place @utsukushi_teppanyaki.and.sake We came here for dinner and tried their cheaper menu - 臣 Omakase at $1080/person. You will definitely get so full from this menu. Once we sat down, a complimentary starter - corn cold soup with pickled tomato was given to refresh the palate. The chef then showed us the ingredients of the day which looked very fresh.🥂ChawanmushiLiked the beautiful egg container, it was made
🥂Chawanmushi
Liked the beautiful egg container, it was made in lobster sauce and topped with perilla flowers. Loved the silky texture from it.
🥂South African Abalone
Pair with liver sauce, it was quite big and tender and I liked how the chef carefully took out the dirts and shell from it.
🥂Grilled Kinmedai
Interesting combination with the Chinese sour fish sauce, the fish skin was grilled to a crispy texture and was quite flavourful.
🥂Sabah King Prawn
Really enjoyed how the chef cooked the prawn paste in front of us and put it on top of the bouncy prawn.
🥂Foie Gras
A pineapple ice cube was prepared on the side to ease the greasiness from the foie gras which I have never tried.
🥂Oyster
🥂Baked Whelk in Butter and Herb Sauce
🥂Clams in Sake Soup
These seasonal seafood were prepared on the day and were all very fresh.
🥂US Prime Beef
You may choose to have thin-sliced or thick cut so my friend and I each picked one to share with each other. The thin one is more flavourful with garlic and scallions wrapped in it while the thick cut one is more juicy.
🥂Fried Rice, Vegetable, Miso Soup, Dessert
What’s satisfying from a teppanyaki dinner is that you could never finish their food. With fried rice, vegetables, soup and dessert, I am sure you will be on a full stomach after.
