Pirata group never disappoints with their service - their lunch set-menus became amazingly wallet-friendly when they gave out complementary free-flow during this COVID-end-of-year-celebration period.I did read a few reviews and a number of people didn't enjoy their meal - but I personally felt that they had very different expectation of this eatery. This is NOT the place to have 100% authentic Indian cuisine. This is NOT the place to have 100% authentic Indian cuisine. Considering it is an eatery named Chaiwala (tea seller) - it does not serve multitudes/variations of Chai, with that irony in mind - please bare in mind that it is not an actual local-Indian joint. The food is more creative indian food rather than traditional. The spices are definitely toned down to help people ease into the Indian cuisine - but will disappoint the veterans who adore the more authentic-street/home-made food.
It does however serve some of the lesser known classics - like the masala omelette. They serve a mouth watering naan bread with their curries and I would suggest getting the 4 course lunch set if you want to try all their classics. If you're stuck for what to eat for dessert the pannacotta is very well made but their chai was a bit on the sweeter side.
Their dishes are good quality for the price you pay and the atmosphere makes it a very enjoyable lunch indeed.
