Having said that, the canapés are excellent as well. The flavoured hamachi tartare has an avocado smash base, topped with crisp radish roots. Spanner crab salad is simple with a touch of fennel, while the Yarra Valley Salmon Roe adds some saltiness to it. Goat cheese small tarts are buttery and earthy topped with sweet fig jam.

The Char Grilled Octopus is very tender, with a mildly nutty taste, accompanied by chick pea cream, smoked paprika, potato and Piquillio pepper.

Toothfish Papillote is toothfish being slowly cooked in a folded pouch, resulting in soft and buttery texture, with Morel mushrooms, black Trumpet, Seaweed Butter, Lardons, pearl onions, roasted chicken jus, it brings out all the flavour.

The braised veal cheek with braising jus is very tender and has a rich savory flavour, it is balanced by the cauliflower puree. The aroma of black truffle on top is strong.

Finally it comes the M4 Wagyu Black Angus Cross Breed Strip Loin with rich Bordelaise sauce, sided with pan seared foie gras, potato gratin, grilled broccolini. The striploin is tender, juicy and at the same time beefy.

這間扒房,環境、裝修及食材口味都非常傳統,是我非常喜歡的餐館之一。食物出品質素高,在結合環境與服務,相比而言價格必須物超所值,值得經常光顧。 餐前奉送新鮮先現烤蒜蓉包,牛油蒜香撲鼻。入口時能感覺到表面油潤,口感略有酥脆,但中間鬆軟,說明牛油使用得足夠多,烘烤火候掌握比較準。蒜蓉吃完可以refill,因此我不停吃完又叫,兩份落肚後,未見侍應有任何深色異常。大餐館格局果然不同,不像有些店,聲稱任食,但食多兩件,老闆加適應的臉即刻黑過墨斗。 主菜登場,五成熟肉眼扒。表面焦脆,香氣濃厚,毫無疑問經過了強烈的梅拉德反應。這不單需要鍋子溫度夠高,而且需要牛肉夠好,肉中含中有足夠的還原糖、蛋白質,否則反應不會如此強烈。五成熟的肉質軟嫩,肉汁豐富,油脂香、牛肉香完美釋放。可見牛肉本身肥瘦分布均勻,肥瘦比平衡,令牛扒外表在高溫煎製時,保護內裡的水分不會大量流失,肉質不會變老。 烤厚培根同樣值得推薦。值得一提的還有apple crumble,一大碗香草味雪糕,只看份量已經很滿足。雪糕充斥奶香,口感絲滑細膩,搭配apple crumble剛好中和甜味,還能降溫。

For desserts, since I tried the sundae in the past, we ordered the other 3 instead. The pavlova was the one with the most contrast between its sweetness and the tartness of the mango sauce. The apple crumble was my father's favorite. However, after tasting all 3 of them, I would say loved the sundae the most.

Toward dessert time, their menu clearly says “$85 / $120 (to share)” we asked for Irish Coffee Sundaes for sharing; Nicole again asked “so you want the small or large size” “to share as your menu outlined. OMG!!

The service in this place has changed… the in-charge of the section called Joyce was another interesting character… she could not get the meaning of “horse radish cream” vs “horse radish” and we just gave up clarifying after all.

The steak was still good except for not serving on the wooden plate anymore so it gets cold easily, what a pity!!

煎鵝肝個皮就唔夠脆,不過入面好嫩滑。牛扒叫咗半生熟,外皮燶燶地,而入面真係好嫩,難切少少不過易咬開,而且仲有肉汁,配松露食唔錯,如果有芥末應該會更好食,不過服務員無問我地要唔要。

甜品擺盤好靚。朱古力蛋糕外皮好有彈性,入面又濃又滑,伴雲呢拿雪糕一齊食好好味,好夾好出色。雲呢拿軟雪糕用個厚身不過脆口既迷你餅杯裝住,好精緻。仲有一個橙味果醬扁球可以配朱古力食減膩,伴碟既忌廉都好食,上面仲有金箔。裝飾用既雪花片食埋都唔會過甜。呢道甜品好味。

雪糕都唔細杯,係雲呢拿同朱古力軟雪糕兩溝,上面加上朱古力醬。軟雪糕本身真係好食,又滑又香濃,好高質,令我諗起半島酒店既軟雪糕。

中途有聖誕老人同你影相同派unicorn毛公仔比小朋友,枱面有聖誕cracker比你玩。

不過服務方面收得呢個價,個人覺得可以再好d,服務員用餐途中有同你傾偈,不過留位時指明想要影相好d既位都無跟進,而且4個人比張兩人枱你,仲要不斷同你講係4人枱。之後都有free水同送多個兒童餐湯比你既。

食物方面,除咗牛扒同甜品較出色之外,海鮮應該可以好d。今次黎左見識見識,呢個高價消費都係一次就夠。

This well known steakhouse appeared to offer value for money lunch sets upon checking their website, so we booked a table on a weekday to try out. The decor of the steakhouse was unmistakably American 🇺🇸 with its 🦅 architecture feature at the entrance😅. The tables were discreetly spaced out with big comfy leather chairs. Though there were a few occupied tables for lunch, we were able to enjoy a quiet lunch. The menu surprisingly offered a lot of choices for a set lunch priced at $540 per person.

Burrata Salad with local rockets, avocado, tomato, aged balsamic glaze and olive oil- the mild burrata paired well with the fresh salad and the acidity from the glaze made a balanced and delicious starter. The portion size was generous too😅.

Lobster Bisque (additional $48)- the lobster 🦞 bisque was smooth and creamy rich, cramped with the essence of the lobster. It brought to mind how one has to roast and break up the shell of the lobster to bring out the goodness of the crustacean to make a good soup. Good value for money for a mere add on of $48 !

Premium Argentinean Rib Eye (10oz) with green peppercorn sauce, and creamed spinach with nutmeg as side dish- the cuisson on the steak was perfect, beautifully seared and charred to give that slight crisp texture on the surface of the steak. The spinach was creamy but I was just too full to finish it.

Washington apple crumble with vanilla soft serve ice cream 🍨- the crumble was not too sweet and the soft ice cream helped to give a smooth and balanced creamy dessert to end the meal.

Overall- the service was good, food was great and portions were generous, good value for money. Being members of the New World Club, we were able to enjoy discounts on the set lunch as well. A very satisfying and relaxing lunch indeed.
