Chef Ecy’s Dining Experience:🥰 Food | Ambience | Service | Easy Access | Restroom Cleanliness | Wheelchair | Cake Cutting Fee | Corkage Fee🙂 Easy Parking | Price😠 Pet FriendlyThis is a very traditional Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong for many years. I went there when I was very young with my grandparents and family. All the decoration, furnitures & even the dishes, cups etc… are the same. They are famous for their chinese tea, that‘s why the name of the restaurant is Luk Yu Tea House. The waiters’ uniform is still the same too…. It is easy to access there by MTR, take exit D2 from Central MTR station and walk 3mink to Stanley Street. The entrance is at street level, so wheelchair has no problem. They don‘t charge cake cutting fee but they charge a bit if you bring your own wine, only $50. It’s a very good deal. If you drive, they have no valet parking and there is some difficulty to find meter parking around but there is public parking lot farther away at City Hall or Man Yee Building or New World nearby but have to walk back with a distance. They have restroom inside the restaurant, it‘s a bit small & old but clean. They have many cleaning ladies take care of the cleaning service at the back. Talking about the menu, there are lots of traditional and famous dishes you can choose. Price is relatively higher as expected and will charge you tea fees per person. For sure, you have to try their tea. I ordered 普洱, it‘s so good. It‘s very smooth and easy to drink comfortably. They have a lot of signature dishes like prawn toast 蝦多士, 杏汁豬肺湯, fried spare ribs 咕嚕肉, 炒鴿片, 炒鮮奶, 蛇羮 etc etc… Their portion is big and so delicious. The taste is not salty at all, just right and not much MSG. 蛇羮 is served very hot and tasty, but the ingredients are cut so thin and hardly see what they are. I couldn’t even find the snake meat at all. Anyway, the taste is very good. The food presentation is so so and they use the traditional clay plates to serve. The food quality maintain the excellent standard. The waiters are polite and very friendly. They are very interactive talking to guests during the meal. My overall dining experience feel very comfortable and I enjoy the meal so much! continue reading

上個星期特地打電話訂位, 訂的是今天一月28號, 上午11:30.  結果和朋友一早開開心心抵達, 才發覺沒開。。。那要是不開, 為何還接受訂位, 那如果接受訂位, 不開是不實應該通知一下?  完全沒通知。。而且發覺不只是我, 還有一些顧客也一樣, 到了門口, 才發覺他們今天已經開始休息。這樣的服務態度有待改善。。 continue reading

上星期嘅平日晚市嚟幫襯(第一次),雖則環境係帶些少古色古香,所以啲卡座都十分唔好坐,樓面叔叔都算友善。諗住啲食品索價高,水準都應該有翻咁上下啦(基本要求吧,開咗幾十年)。一食個咕嚕香肉(二百幾蚊),心諗乜料,啲皮大部分唔掛汁,唔脆偏乾硬,豬肉有豬臊味,仲要係唔熱(微溫)!蝦多士用原隻蝦,熱辣辣方包炸得酥脆,個汁都惹味,算ok。餐牌唔見有價錢,見幾出名都照嗌,原來成三百幾蚊,難怪了。另外點了半隻雞,等咗大半個鐘有多,先被通知漏單,當時得幾枱客🌝。最後收銀阿姐(疑似老闆)都係黑口黑面,冇尾音,講句多謝都嘥氣嘅態度,令我要上嚟寫個差評👍🏻 continue reading

趁着暖笠笠、落陸羽食返個雙冬羊腩煲、用上新鮮黑草羊腩、購自西環、貴精不貴多、唔會大大嚿、味道足夠、腐乳也不用沾上、 再來一個手切蛇羹、這個級數$360可以與香港那些傳統高級粵菜$1000一碗的那些稍作比較不會遜色、大蝦沙律找回兒時回憶、片兒麵的做法正宗、雲吞皮炸至香脆,再在味道濃厚的湯中慢慢烹煮,讓味道都進到煮至稔軟的麵片中。加入新鮮蟹肉一起享用最為滋味。其他如鍋貼大明蝦,以蝦蓉為餡,吃時最好蘸些餐廳自製的甜酸醬,倍感美味。生魚卷均保持一定水準 continue reading
